Scheduling the appointment was a breeze and the technician let me know when he was on the way. My issue was a dead circuit board in my 20 year old garage door opener. The tech went over the replacement options along with clear and upfront pricing. Once I decided, he was able to do the install right away! While he was there he went ahead and gave my other garage a tune-up as well. Both doors are quieter and smoother than they have ever been. It's actually kind of amazing how much better they are now. Lonnie took my call, answered all my questions, and quoted me a fair price based on what other such installations have cost. A month later I called them and scheduled the installation. (Needed to get some electrical work done first.) When Adam arrived he did some quick measurements based on how the garage doors opened and informed me that the track for the belt drive openers wouldn't fit since I had such a low ceiling. He took photos and discussed it with Nick, the Service Manager. After some serious discussions a solution was found and thanks to the exceptional team of Adam, Nick, and Lonnie I now have excellent garage door openers and an answer why previous owners never installed them. Before purchasing, I specifically discussed my primary concern with the salesperson: through my windows. I even provided a competing quote showing the type of solar-heat-reducing glass I wanted, and we discussed this in detail. I was told American Weathertechs had a comparable product, and the salesperson demonstrated heat performance to me using a heat lamp. . The November 2025 installation had numerous problems, including windows that were difficult or impossible to operate, bowed sashes and installation deficiencies. I objected to signing completion paperwork because the work was not complete, but I was told to sign and not worry because I had a warranty and they would return to correct the problems. Financing was then processed. , . Fourteen sashes ultimately required replacement, yet problems remained. I eventually hired an independent third-party inspector, who documented additional concerns, including thermal observations and window/door deficiencies. The solar-heat issue also remained. Months after the sale, American Weathertechs told me that it does carry the type of Low-E coating/product that I had discussed at the point of sale. On August 5, the company proposed triple-pane inserts, but expected me to pay additional material costs. I asked for written performance specifications before agreeing to spend additional money. Instead, the company subsequently withdrew that proposal, refused further service and refused to return to finish the unresolved installation issues. They characterized the approximately $3,400 disputed balance as "bad debt," wrote it off to $0, and stated that my were void. . I have extensive emails, photographs, temperature documentation and an independent inspection report documenting my experience. I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I was surprised however that I had to contract for my own flooring, but it was/is fine. How wonderful to sit outside without BUGS. It is a four season room and I love it. I also got small windows at the bottom for my little dog and he loves it too. I highly recommend this company. Champion absolutely stands behind their products. While the "sunroom guys" were here they fixed a problem I was having with my storm door, which had been Champion installed in 2021. There are probably other companies that would be less expensive, but if you want the BEST and a company that stands behind their products, always choose Champion. I began researching and contacting local window replacement companies in the greater Cincinnati area as I need five vinyl windows replaced. Prior to Champion coming out, I had one other company, Windows Plus, come out. Windows Plus quoted just over $6000.00, triple-paned, double-hung, lifetime warranty. Champion arrived at my home, a male sales rep & another male sales rep-in-training. Explained what I needed due to current state of windows, then we got down to the nitty gritty. Sales rep goes back outside to get his bag of tricks and then we got going. This is my favorite part... Do you know how a window works? Do you know the purpose windows should serve? (I rather think that most average people have the basics down. If not, at least Google the general properties of a window.) Sales rep proceeds to show me what Champion windows are made of, Virgin vinyl vs Recycled vinyl, what makes them better than other companies, then explains the novel idea that windows serve the purpose of keeping cold air out/heat inside in winter and vice versa in summer. Gosh...who knew??? Don't forget the binder showing how other well-known companies pale in comparison... Then he proceeds to bust out the cold compressed air can with a temperature gauge from the bag of tricks to show me the purpose windows serve...you know, keeping the cold air outside. Groundbreaking stuff. Now let's get to the pricing, because this was the best part. For five windows, rectangular, nothing unique: Initial quote: just over $22, 000.00. BUT, I called at just the right time, for the great deal of BUY TWO GET TWO FREE. With that timely miracle, it is now just over $13,000.00. (insert my astonishment and laughter here) To be followed by the line essentially asking if Champion can sign me up for this fantastic deal right now, because if I sign right now, I can get another 10% off. My steadfast reply: "I will not be making any decisions today". So as the sales rep is packing up, he then proceeds to ask if he makes a phone call, if he can get it down to around $9,000.00, would I be willing to sign up today? My reply is the same as before, "I will not be making any decisions today". This gives the same vibes as a car salesman, trying to make a deal, trying to get this thing done today, and it's very off-putting. While I get this is how someone makes their living, the ridiculousness of that initial quote is actually insulting. Inflating costs to make it seem as if the "deal" you are presenting, the buy 2 get 2 free, is a fantastic deal, is 100% a joke. To so easily go from over $22,000.00 to offering around $9,000.00, you must think most people are suckers. Which maybe some people aren't good with face-to-face interactions, or standing their ground, and if you're not, then have a friend with a backbone with you so that you don't get bamboozled. I did also make it a point to explain to the sales rep that the windows in my kitchen had been replaced with vinyl windows in 2011, and those cost a whopping $330.00 a window, totaling around $1000.00 (a retired contractor friend). Even given "INFLATION", which is a favorite word of sales reps to throw around to justify increasing costs, which has actually gone up around 43-45% from 2011-2025, even if inflation doubled the cost of those windows, that is nowhere near the price he was trying to sell me on. Champion sales reps may try to explain away the exorbitant costs by emphasizing how they make their windows in-house, virgin vinyl is better than recycled vinyl (which is true but not unique to Champion), their lifetime warranty that can be transferred to the next homeowner (also not unique to Champion), the felt-lined bottom of the window (also not unique as my current vinyl windows have that). It is all a curated sales pitch that they follow, along with asking you questions such as "What was your favorite part of what I have told you so far about Champion?"...though this question is posed before you are given the price. Well my favorite part was when I got to go into work the next day and have all my coworkers (a few of whom are also looking at getting windows replaced) guess the quote I got from Champion. And this is why I am getting in touch with contractors instead of these "big name" companies who try to pull a fast one or think potential customers are really that gullible. At the very least, save yourself the headache of getting a quote from Champion.

The windows from Windows Plus gave us more window than the competitors. We did not have to order all new blinds where we would have needed to with the other local options. Unfortunately my husband and I had to leave out of the state for a family emergency. We were available for the first day installation but could not be here for the entire installation. No, my husband nor I could not have waited to leave. My brother in-law was available for the rest of the installation. Personally I prefer to have all work inspected prior to final Payout but could not leave that responsibility to another person. We arrived back home a week after the windows were installed. Once I started inspecting the windows I immediately messaged the company. After several emails and pictures sent showing some of the problems an appointment was made for two representatives to come out and inspect. Let's just say every window had some problem (gaps in the frames, a spot visible to the eye in between the glass panel, missing screen, poor screening, missing screen nut, frames cut too short, damaged decorative wood window trim ....) in addition to each window would need to be cleaned. The window installers were very nice and courteous when we were here the first day. They were very mindful of our cat who often likes to "escape" to be chased around the yard. One of our half moon shaped windows were being changed into a rectangle casing window. It turned out beautiful with the exception of the vinyl framing on the outside where there was a gap. Extremely long strand shortened - most issues primarily the blatant ones have been resolved. We still need to clean all our new windows.

Everything looks so good! We chose the same shingles for the house that we had put on the carriage house/garage, and although it's hard to see up top, they do look amazing. And the drainage around the house is SO MUCH BETTER. At the time the crew was out, we were having other repairs inside the house, and everyone did the trades shuffle with grace and humor. You haven't seen a crew work like these guys did until you realize they roofed a 7,200 sq ft historic house in just 3 days--including the flat roof rebuilds. So much attention and care was paid to the fabric of the home, and each flat roof got its own plan and treatment. They did our carriage house in early spring 2026, and the same attention to detail means we now own two very spiffy historic structures. Call Buckeye, you can't go wrong.
