A Painful and Traumatizing Experience as a Black Woman…read more I have never felt so humiliated, dehumanized, and unsafe in a place I've frequented for weeks. As a Black woman, I am no stranger to discomfort in predominantly white spaces, but this experience was beyond anything I could have imagined. My friend recently moved to Atlanta and now lives in this building. I visit often, usually grabbing breakfast at the café nearby before heading over to wait for him after his shift. This time, I needed to use the restroom. Like any other human, I took my time--handling my personal needs and cleaning up after myself. I never could have predicted what would happen next. Out of nowhere, I heard the click of a key unlocking the door, followed by an aggressive bang--a terrifying knock that sent my heart racing. When I opened the door, I was met with a police officer and two other individuals staring me down. The officer immediately demanded my ID and asked if I lived there. His presence alone was jarring. I told him no, explaining that I was waiting for my friend to get off work--in just 10 minutes. But that wasn't enough. Fearful of what would happen next, I called my friend on the phone, my hands shaking. That's when a short white man with a bald head, a tattoo on his arm, and casual shorts stepped forward. He was just a resident--not security, not staff--yet he had the audacity to treat me like an intruder. He interrogated me, aggressively demanding to know who I was, who I knew, and why I was in the restroom for so long. He spoke to me as if I was a criminal, as if my existence in that building was a problem that needed to be handled. Then came a short woman in an all-blue suit with long curly hair--equally aggressive, equally invasive. They both threw accusations and questions at me like I was on trial. It didn't matter that I'd been there countless times before. It didn't matter that I was simply waiting for my friend, minding my own business. My presence--my Blackness--was enough to make them uncomfortable. At this point, the situation had escalated to something deeply disturbing. I was cornered, harassed, and treated like I was nothing. I told them I would just leave, because what else could I do? I have never been in trouble with the law, never caused an issue, never disrespected anyone. Yet I was treated like a trespasser, like a homeless person loitering on the street, like a threat that needed to be removed. I have never been so degraded, so violated, so painfully aware that my presence was unwelcome. I own a three-story townhouse, yet in that moment, they made me feel like I had no right to be anywhere near that building. They saw my Blackness and assumed the worst. This wasn't just an inconvenience. It was racism. It was discrimination. It was an attack. My friend will not be renewing his lease. I will never step foot in that place again. And I will never forget how small, how powerless, how deeply disrespected I felt in that moment.

I been living here for a while and wouldn't recommend it. They have a really nice building and…read morelocation, but the building is managed poorly. Latisse is amazing but rest of staff could make this a better place to live. A couple of objective reasons: -Appliances are cheap: The refrigerator is very small and can barely hold enough groceries for two people, the washer and dryer are extremely loud, and you can't have two showers running at the same time longer than 10 mins (maintenance confirmed) -Management is not the most responsive and can be rude at times -The gym is poorly taken care of: there are literally holes in the wall from people stacking weights against it -No oversight of dog owners: there's booby traps of dog poo littered around the property because they never enforce cleaning up after your dog -They force you to use an inconvenient delivery service (Fetch) for $18/month which will occasionally open up your packages and always causes delays because Amazon has to ship packages to their separate location to then have people deliver it later -They force you to also use trash valet for $30, which comes inconsistently at times.

This complex is nothing short of amazing. I've lived here for over a year now and continue to be…read moreimpressed with both the staff and facilities. The staff: Having a 24/7 concierge is game changing. They provide an extra level of security, while always being available to hold deliveries, answer questions, and make sure you have what you need. They are always super nice and super quick to help you with anything. Maintenance is also incredibly fast and helpful. I've really only ever had a couple small things come up (like my smoke detector kept inconsistently beeping), and they were so quick to come help. You can also put in requests for around the apartment if you notice something is broken or dirty, and they are on it. Additionally, the cleaning staff is INCREDIBLE and keeps the place literally spotless. Even the pillows are fluffed in the lobby on the regular. The amenities: Unbelievable, some of the best around. The gym is top notch (and again always spotless!), and there are TWO pools-- one with one of the best views of the city on the rooftop, and another on the first floor that's shaded and has cabanas. The amount of spaces to hang out is actually unreal (reading terrace, library, bar lounge, clubhouse, etc). There are beautiful little touches everywhere with decor and it's all just over the top and lovely... I can't stress how much space this place has to entertain yourself and others. There are fun extras like the sauna, steam room, and shuffleboard tables, too. The apartment: Extremely quiet, everything is brand new. The walls are concrete-enforced so you can't hear neighbors at all unless they're walking through the halls outside your door (and even then they're quiet). It's also got fantastic finishes... everything is incredibly modern and well-thought out. The custom closets, the dimmer switches, the Nest thermostats... they are all nice-to-haves that I never thought of but have grown to love. The kitchen and bathroom are truly beautiful and have upgraded appliances. I always feel incredibly safe in the entire complex and my own unit, and have really loved living here. The cons: I cannot, for the life of me, understand with so much space why they only allow two guests per household. You can't rent out any of the huge, gorgeous spaces (like the kitchen upstairs, despite having tables that seat 10). They hardcore reinforce 2 guests, particularly at the pool (which definitely keeps any sort of partying non existent, which I appreciate). But if I have, say, my partner over and want to invite another couple to the pool, I'm unable to do so which is ridiculous. Guest parking is also a pain in the ass, having to register each guest with a piece of paper. Several times they have run out of guest parking and my guests have to pay to park overnight somewhere else. I also face the back parking entrance and sometimes cars come flying or bump their base. I can hear the garage open and closing all the time which gets a bit annoying. Overall: Truly one of the best living experiences I've had minus rules regarding guests. I'm super impressed with this complex... I'd recommend living here to literally anyone.

Thanks for the response. There's definitely bias in who you identify as the "overall community"…read more There's too many young professionals in the building for me to believe, that audience would subscribe to not having a speaker at the pool. This is never was an issue the first year I moved in, so this is based on recent feedback. Furthermore, it's noted that you can't have alcohol at the pool. The rules don't seem reflective of the community and seem unenforceable given everyone drinks can beers, or other spirits at the pool. Just acknowledge it was overreaching and pivot. You're doubling down on something that could easily be addressed because it's not an ongoing concern.

Thought we'd hit a full month without it going off in the morning UPDATE: fire alarm has been going off for 32 hours on the 6th floor parking deck, this is what you can expect if you live here I've waited a long while to leave this in an effort to see how the situation would be handled, but any rational person would be just as frustrated and confounded at the inaction and lack of transparency. Make no mistake about it, if you move here, you will absolutely experience a terrifying alarm going off in the early morning hours. 100% it will happen often and these sort of issues can pose a very real risk to young children and those with cardiovascular problems. Do not let them convince you otherwise because they are not being proactive about it and it has not been resolved. The anger amongst the residents is palpable, and growing. There is no excuse for the faulty fire alarm system that has been terrorizing the residents here for the 3 years I've personally lived here...longer when I talk to other longtime residents. There is nothing they can say that justifies their inaction at this point, because it's been years. The company either: 1) doesn't care, 2) is not capable/competent enough to fix the issue, or 3) is unwilling to spend the money to properly fix it. Look elsewhere, because anyone paying a premium rent should expect premium treatment, and the constant worry of the deafening alarm going off at any hour is not premium treatment. My wife and I are not renewing, literally just because of this recurring problem, and it's sad. Years people...years and they are incapable of fixing it. Everything else is fine, the employees are great, but again, they expect a premium every month but do not give you what they promise in return. No one is perfect, but this type of treatment is pure neglect.

Garbage trucks for the surrounding businesses come before 6am on Mondays and Fridays, while Three Dollar Cafe and Activate Games draw noisy crowds late at night. To top it off, the complimentary coffee station only has cup when the front office staff is on duty (which isn't until well after I start my day). Also I have had multiple interactions with maintenance where I was made to feel like a liar or a burden when my air vent wasn't functioning properly. Gorgeous units but that's about it.

One of the biggest draws of this apartment complex is the location. You're directly across the street from the Lenox MARTA station, which is very convenient if you want to either travel to Midtown or go to the airport. The apartments are within walking distance of Lenox Mall, Phipps Plaza, Publix, Target, Dick's Sporting Goods, and a LA Fitness. The amenities consistently improved during the time I lived there. The community has a covered, gated parking garage with access on every floor. The center of the community has a recently revamped pool area. Interiors (floors, wall paintings, the leasing office) have been renovated in recent years. Maintenance is both effective and efficient. The staff in the leasing office are friendly and professional. They all do their best to ensure a positive residential experience and have planned great resident events. I would highly recommend this community for anyone who is looking for a high quality apartment in an extremely convenient location.
