They did absolutely nothing.. yet if you ride a bike in the dark without a light they will surely stop you and search you. If it doesn't make them money they won't do anything to help you. Professional and courteous are not the words I would use to describe them.

Who during a stop to…read moreassist an elderly gent that had also recently recovered from a stroke was stranded in the middle of a busy intersection and needed help very badly. His car had stalled due to mechanical issues even though he thought he'd just run out of gas however the Officer checked and was able to let him know he had a half a tank therefore his problem was not gas but a mechanical problem. That led him to have to get towed. The very nice and polite Officer assisted in every way to ensure the Senior Citizen made it home with car in tow safely. There were two other individuals that assisted and he was taken care of in a timely manner. So Kudo's to both Lisa Kay from Casselberry DMV and Officer Andreone' from the Casselberry Police Dept. for standing up and showing out to a citizen in need. They did a wonderful job and I wish I could give them more recognition. God bless them and their establishments too.

I took it to court and got the ticket dismissed. They also stopped my black friend just for walking down the street! Granted it was late at night, but that's not a legal reason to stop someone at all! If you're going to constantly harass anyone who doesn't look like they "fit in" to Maitland, at least follow your own rules and don't do 60 in a 45 (I see them speed through Maitland Blvd and 1792 regularly.) These officers will harass anyone who looks like they don't fit in to maitland, and then proceed to act completely above the law. When I lived in the 400 North apartments I regularly saw them from my porch camping in the shadows watching stop signs, just waiting for people to slip up. They genuinely have nothing better to do with their time. Overfunded department with a huge incentive for collecting revenue through tickets. Go fight some real crime . If your car is over 15 years old and has any sorts of dents or cosmetic damage, or just doesn't look the best, expect an officer to tailgate you through the entire town, and probably pull you over for some bs. Most of these officers have nothing better to do with their time than harass people doing nothing wrong. Despite all this, shoutout to Officer Andrews. I see this guy at the 7/11 on and 17/92 and Sybelia grabbing snacks a lot. He's always nice, genuinely a good guy. He even helped me with my car on new year's eve at 2am (i guess technically new year's day). He saw me and offered to help. Had a casual conversation about our nights and how he was getting a lot of calls for gunshots (they were just fireworks it was new year's eve). He didn't ask me any questions, like where I'd been or where I was coming from. He didn't try to figure out if I was intoxicated or if I was doing something wrong. ( I dont drink and was completely sober). He didn't even mention my tint is too dark or anything of the sorts. He simply wanted to give me a hand to help. Officer Andrews you are the only reason i'm even giving this review a single star. The community needs more people like him and less revenue chasing, harassing, fishing jerks. Even though most of the instances in which i've been pulled over by mpd were for stupid reasons, especially the tail light one considering my tailights weren't out, almost every officer was nice, or at least pretending to be. They still will shine their flashlights all over the inside of your car and fish for whatever they can, but most of them are decently nice. Not all cops are bad but as I said before this department has a problem with harassment and is way overfunded and revenue incentivized.

At the time the surrounding area was a fern farm that grew asparagus plumosis ferns for the florist industry. Casselberry became the sales manager for Fern Park Estates but left to plat his own subdivision, Winter Park Ferneries which became known as Fern Park. Throughout the 1930's he continued to develop his fernery and real estate business. On October 10th, 1940, the tax-free Town of Casselberry including parts of Fern Park Estates was officially incorporated. Today this building is the seat of government in Casselberry. The City of Casselberry is governed by a Commission and City Manager form of municipal government. A Mayor and four-member Commission are elected for staggered four-year terms. The City Manager is employed to oversee daily City operations and the City provides services for water and sewer, utility, sanitation, road maintenance, parks and recreation, planning and community development, and police. While many in town come here to deal with government issues I came to explore the art in Lake Concord Park that runs behind the City Hall. In the park you can experience the Sculpture Walk, Sculpture House, Art House, and Casselberry Art Center. During the holidays the area around City hall is decorated in lights. Many city events are held here during the year. These include Earth Fest, Spring Jazz and Art Festival, Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, Casselberry Food and Wine Festival, concerts, car shows, and food trucks. The City of Casselberry does a great job of drawing the community together with support for the arts, well thought out recreational amenities, and engaging events.
