Not to long ago word was that this post office was closing ,I guess I was wrong. Friendly staff and has everything you need just like any other post office around town but much smaller then the one on Montgomery rd.

Today I walk in and wait to no one at counter, but clearly see 2 people in back moving around. I ring the bell then wait 5 more minutes for postal worker to approach me at counter with no urgency at all. Needing to transfer address to postal label I ask for a pen. He walks to other end of counter slams a pen down then proceeds to tell me I can come down there and fill it out rather than just walk the pen to me. Sure, he minimally did his job, but customer service friendliness definitely not there. There's a post office about a mile away from this location that I'll take my business to next time.

If you don't…read moremind waiting for good service, AND you do not mind the inconvenience of the location, it's a Post Office to consider. I typically stop here if I need to mail a package because it's on my way to Costco. The location is not convenient for me due to the options of either a traffic light or a U-turn on Montgomery. However, the service has been top-notch with every employee making every effort to assist with my shipping needs. As I wait in the long line, I notice each employee engaging the customer without distraction, and typically with a friendly smile and tone of voice. Julie assisted my wife and me the last time, and her interaction with us was very pleasant, as if we were her first customer and not the "umpteenth" one. Plenty of parking is available. The PO Boxes are right as one walks in the door. Overall, the indoor areas are spacious, but the main area for customer is out-of-date, sterile, and dingy like the mold exterior of the building.

If you do business within the Live Oaks business plaza, it's conveniently right down the boulevard. Aside from being the off the main road, you will find what you need from stamps to overnight mail options to boxes to packaging to passport first time applications to renewals. One important notice about passports- you need to make an appointment! I always receive good service and the employees are pleasant. Other than feeling I'm at a small store with loosely organized items for purchase and information notices all around, I get what I need (and move on).

This post office is nearest me so it's usually where I go. Because of this, I often come here with a backlog of packages that need to go out. The staff is seemingly spread thin so they maintain a blase attitude most of the time. The facility itself is super dark and outdated. They carry new packaging and stamps though, so it gets the job done.
