The people working here did a fantastic job on my wedding dress and a bridesmaid dress. For the wedding dress, I had 3 layers of fabric hemmed, I got the waist taken in, and a bustle added. All three of these turned out beautifully. For the bridesmaid dress, I had the hem raised. This turned out great as well. Highly recommend this store. They are professional and punctual. This is the best wedding dress alteration boutique in Portland and Vancouver! I had my dress altered here and because of them, it was the perfect fit, length, and look Nadya is very thoughtful, kind, and has decades of experience in the industry. You can't go wrong with this place! Our wedding day was perfect because of Nadya's excellent work Lastly, they just moved to a wonderful new location at the Vancouver Mall and it's worth a visit!

I have been a loyal customer of the Alteration Boutique for over two years because of the excellent quality and customer service. I have most of my clothes alterated here to ensure the perfect fit. The most important thing for which I appreciate them is that I can always rely on them if I need something to be done right before a business trip or even customise a sports uniform before a competition. They never let me down and that is why I could trust only them with the alteration of a suit for a wedding !

I got my wedding dress at The White Dress in Portland and they recommended coming here for my alterations. They couldn't have done a better job! Their appointment booking system online is really easy to use and convenient. My dress ended up fitting perfectly and they were really helpful in showing us how to bustle/letting my mom try it a few times so she felt comfortable with it for the big day. I think there's always a little sticker shock with wedding dress alterations but they seemed like fair prices to me. They also helped me with a quick alteration on the dress I wore for my rehearsal and it was painless and inexpensive. When I went in to try on the dress after my alterations they forgot to do the straps, but it was a quick 10 minute fix while I was there, not a big deal. I recommend this place for whatever alterations you need!

Charged for alterations paid extra for rush service. Got it back and they had done nothing. Asked for a refund and they said no just let us fix it. Which is what I had paid them to do the first time so no thanks. Still wouldn't give a refund. read more

if I could give 0 stars I would. the dress I dropped off and the dress I picked up we're completely different. the straps were shortened too much and the whole dress and waistline were raised. she then proceeded to weight shame me and say it wasn't her work it was that I gained weight. would only refund me for the straps and nothing else. do not go here, you will regret it. Terrible owner, terrible sewing job. SO unprofessional read more

Nadya is a professional!! She was able to bring my suggestions into reality. The atmosphere of the shop is cozy and filled with people that truly care. Sooo amazing! I even explain how great full I am for this place. I got my wedding dress which was was to big, I'm a size two and the dress was a 12, and she did an amazing job and did it in such a short amount of time! she even took in my sleeves which were too baggy and she made them perfect! Alteration Boutique did a fabulous job altering my "Mother of the Groom" dress. It was a little loose on top and didn't fit quite right. She was able to tighten the straps and take it in so beautifully it fits like a charm now. Nadya is so sweet and got it done on a rush. I'd highly recommend her work! The shop is decorated very nicely and she has curtained dressing rooms. I plan to take more items in soon. read more

I recently moved to the Portland Area from New York and I needed to find a place that I could rely-on for alterations...and boy did I find one! Nadya's first task was to alter my wedding dress, and she did a superb job! I could tell immediately that she knows her craft and knows what she's doing when I first met her and talked to her. I made an appointment through their website and it was a seamless as it gets. I get to the shop and I was a little nervous because of Covid stuff, but the place was pristine everyone was wearing a mask. The consult was quick and easy. I got a bridesmaid's dress hemmed and it was perfection, and when I came to pick up my dress I also got a pair of jeans hemmed. Both came out incredibly. I have been having Alterations Boutique repair and create garments for my family over the past several months and am very please with the customer service, and the quality of Nadya's work is outstanding. Nadya has been in the Alteration/ Tailoring industry from 2000. She spent the last 13 years working for Nordstrom. In her latest experience with Nordsttom she was a shop manager for four years before she became a Regional Alteration Manager for the Midwest Region for over two years. As a regional manager she managed and provided training over 20 stores. Her position also included overseeing Trunk Club alterations department in Chicago. I had purchased the dress just 48 hours earlier for $215 and simply wanted a small spot removed from the chest area. The care label clearly stated "SPOT CLEAN ONLY BY PROFESSIONAL - NO STEAMING ON BEADING." What I got back was COMPLETELY DESTROYED: - Off-shoulder strap torn and frayed - Black stains throughout the dress that looked like ink or oil (owner admitted to leaving pens in pockets that damage clothes, but refused to even look at my dress or admit responsibility) - Chemical looking stains and water looking damage across the entire dress - Looks like they resewed parts of the dress without permission or disclosure - Tears, frayed strings, and incomplete stitching throughout (this may be why they couldn't find my dress when I came to pick it up) - What looks like heat damage, fabric distortion, and holes in overlay material - Multiple areas of damage despite requesting ONLY one small spot be cleaned THE OWNER ADMITTED FAULT - THEN REFUSED TO PAY: When I called to report the damage, the owner directly stated: "I didn't give items received that week the appropriate time or care they should have because I was busy." This is a clear admission of negligence. Despite this admission and 60+ photos documenting the extensive damage, the owner: - Refused to properly examine the dress or photos - Blamed ME for the damage (accused of wine spills - I don't drink wine) - Called my $215 dress "cheap" to justify refusing responsibility Claimed silk naturally falls apart and develops spots (completely false) - Made contradictory statements (first claimed he "never ruins clothes," then admitted damaging others' items with ink) - Only refunded the $21.75 cleaning fee (in cash, no documentation) after much insistence - Stated "I don't care who you report me to" - Tried to exclude me from the conversation at one point, only speaking to my fiancé, which was completely rude and my fiance obviously put a stop to it - Admitted he couldn't return the dress to its original condition, saying "anyone would tell you the same thing" The dress is COMPLETELY UNWEARABLE. I have a witness and extensive photo documentation. I brought in a pristine dress with one small stain. I received back a destroyed garment and had to deal with a business owner who was rude and inappropriate with his questions/comments. He admitted negligence but refused to make it right. Save yourself the heartbreak and money - I searched for a beautiful dress , planned to wear it on my upcoming anniversary and now I am out a dress and the money to buy a new one because of this dry cleaners. Take your clothes literally ANYWHERE else.

This boutique was an amazing find! I needed late alterations done on my wedding dress and Nadya was able to get everything sewn perfectly in a short amount of time. The bottom lace had to be hand sewn and was the right length for walking in grass. Also the 3 part bustle held my long train and was easy to do! She also made private appointments so she had her undivided attention on making sure everything was exactly how I wantedI couldn't have been happier!
