I brought in three simple items to be altered--a pair of pants hemmed, a dress hemmed, and a vest taken in--and was shocked to be charged almost $100. None of the work was particularly intricate. I was also a bit put off by being asked to pay upfront the first time I dropped clothes off, which felt inconsistent since I wasn't charged upfront on a later visit. As a person of color, I couldn't help but wonder if that was the reason, which made the experience uncomfortable. Between the high prices, lackluster customer service, and that inconsistency, I won't be returning. It's a shame since this place is right up the street, but I'm confident I can find better service and prices elsewhere. read more

I found this shop after taking my clothes to another place downtown and discovered my husband's dress shirts were being returned to me with crushed and broken buttons. Express Cleaners has destroyed ZERO buttons. They offer a timely turnaround, fair prices and the woman receiving my clothes is always so sweet and happy to see me. They even removed stains I was convinced were permanent. They have a parking lot behind their building too. The cost of doing business is increasing with inflation but I feel like Express Cleaners isn't gouging me under the guise of inflation. I take my husband's shirts in and I always get a quick return . So I thought I'd take my alterations there to have some sleeves shortened , the alterations lady was awesome . Gotta say this place knows there stuff. Brought in a suite that got gum on it and I was like "man this thing is done" I decided to give this place a shot since it's close to home. This place was worth it, price was doable $14 for the suite and they got it done in two days. They are open Monday - Saturday with limited hours Saturday. I brought them a coat that needed a replacement zipper. They provided a much better zipper than the coat originally had, did a flawless job on the repair, and charged less than I expected to pay. This will definitely become the place I bring all my alterations. read more

Found this tailor online. and have used them several times. They do great alterations and are good in their customer service. Ladies know that the changing room is not very private , so bring a friend. The location is convenient in downtown Vancouver with street parking ( be sure to use the 20 free minutes on the meter ) or a gravel parking lot in back. As with most dry cleaners / alterations small businesses, the lobby is small ,dingy & unappealing. Prices are on the high side but the work is great. read more

Cleaned and pressed my shirts and suits nicely, but all the shirts came back with my last name written on the inside front below the button holes. These were laundered months ago and I only noticed now, but the whole practice is unacceptable. Perhaps they have halted this practice, I don't know, but they must find other ways to keep track of the garments with which they are entrusted. I've never had this happen anywhere else. I brought in my wedding dress that was thrashed because it poured rain on my wedding day and I wasn't going to let that stop me from dancing outside, hence a trashed wedding dress.
