I asked them sew a similar fabric on the UNDERSIDE to reinforce it and keep it from ripping more. Didn't need to be perfect, I knew the tear itself could not be sewn together but patching and stitching the underside could mitigate the damage. I came to pick it up and BOTH SIDES were covered in a fabric patch that's not even a close match! I was told that there wasn't a way to reinforce it from the underside so they just did both. Even if that were true (it's not), why did no one call me FIRST and tell me the work I requested and paid for wasn't possible? This is a very basic ask of a professional tailor, it's unbelievable they got it so wrong! This patch is so much worse than the original tear. The sofa was custom made in Japan and is a one of a kind piece. Pics of the tear and what they did to it. The pics of the denim repair is an example of what I asked them to do.

She had shipped me the dress half made- not fitting correctly and now what I originally asked for, once i messaged her she blocked me on everything. I provided my own original design for this dress and paid in full with the understanding of that deadline. At this point, I am simply asking for a fair resolution. I took his custom, Italian blazer to Curry Dry Cleaner first thing Friday morning, 10/27/17. Problem Solved: I delivered the chocolate hard shell sauce stained blazer to Curry Dry Cleaners at 7:30 Friday morning. I explained the entire situation and that our guest was only here for the football weekend. Curry Dry Cleaners examined the blazer and determined fairly quickly that they could remove the stain! Wow, really?!Then they asked if I wanted to pick it up later in the day for our out of town guest! Yes, yes, yes, customer service at its best!!! To hem two pants and the sleeves of a blazer was $115 plus tax (a bit steep there- and much higher than posted on their Facebook). The pants were $25 each and the blazer was $65. I was hopeful the quality of work warranted that price, but unfortunately that's not the case. The seamstress folded in the arms of my blazer and sewed it in like that, leaving button holes visible in the cuff, of which they kept the buttons that they removed. I had to request she sew shut the cuff button holes now mostly on the inside of my blazer at pick up and expressed it doesn't look good as I now have a thick and bulky cuff with visible stitching, and a visible button hole on the edge of the cuff. The stitches are all visible through the outside of the clothes, and the stitches themself are not neat. I'm extremely disappointed that my nice business clothes (all JCrew and in total cost over $400) now look like this and am contemplating how I'm supposed to show up to work with a visibly horribly altered suit. As a positive, they got the work done way faster than requested (almost 2 weeks) or communicated; although, I'd rather they'd have taken their time and done a better job.

One pair was done to my satisfaction. The other pair was not. In fact, the seamstress only hemmed one leg of the pants. I brought this to her attention. I asked if she could fix the pants. The seamstress stated, "Nothing wrong. The pants are fine." I put the pants on and pointed out that one leg was correct and other was far beyond my toes. She said, "I'm sorry. What do you want me to do?" Considering that I have been a customer for over 10 years, I asked if she would hem the other leg. She refused. I tried to reason with her but she was unwilling to fix the error. I will not be patronizing A Straight Stitch again. This is very disappointing as I have received good service over the years.
