We needed some jeans hemmed before going on a trip to the Grand Canyon. We searched Yelp for places since this is a service we usually don't use and we found this place. Virginia was very helpful and we couldn't be happier with the work done. The jeans look like a regular pair from the store, but fit perfectly! Do not go here ! I'm still in shock. They tailored two suits for me and denied it! Their threads are falling apart and buttons falling off. They actually denied this was their work - the lady and her daughter wondered if my suits were done by their former employee ... but failed to take responsibility for her work. Both suits were brand new suits for job interviews 3 months ago and they were the only people to touch them. Their lack of accountability is hilarious for the amount of money involved. Hands down the best!! My sister and I brought in our bridesmaids dresses to be altered just 6 days before we had to leave for the wedding. Virginia was so nice and reassured us that'd she'd have them done in time. With that said, please don't do what we did, although she did a fantastic job, it's not fair to put her under such a tight time constraint. My sisters dress, as you can see in the photo, had intricate beading all the way down to the bottom. Virginia needed to remove all the beading along the bottom in order to hem the dress and then re apply. And my dress had three layers of tulle and two under skirts that needed to be hemmed and a silk top that needed to be taken in. Not an easy task!! But she did it and they looked stunning!! We are so grateful for Virginia and her hard work!! Thank you!!!! read more

So glad I came here! After another shop did a disastrous number on my boyfriends pair of denim ripped shorts, I came straight here. Upon review, Virginia was straight forward and told me exactly what she could and couldn't for me. I really appreciated that! She asked me when I needed them by and I told her she could take her time. My shorts were ready 7 days later and look great! I was on a time crunch, since it was for work, and they were able to take care of it immediately. It took maybe 2 minutes tops. So I had a dress (cocktail styled, with a liner underneath) taken in about a full size here. It looks amazing!!!!! Before it looked baggy and frumpy, and now it looks like it was custom made for my figure. The turn around was about 6 days, and the bill was only about 19$! I was so pleased! The customer service was great, and they do answer questions on yelp in a very timely fashion (I sent in an inquiry beforehand!) 10/10 would recommend. read more

So unfortunate that I have to write this review because in the past I have had very nice experiences with the owner and the value/work. That said, I recommended my wife take a simple $30 dress there to be taken up only to find out that they later charged her $80 to do it. Logic and honesty would say that a 25+ yr experienced alterations business owner would let the customer know that altering the dress would cost nearly 3 times as much as the price, but according to her "that's not my business to let the customer know the price... I am busy with customers". We clearly will never go back there and I would recommend you go down the street to Dorca's to get just as good quality, but more honest dealings. read more

Amazing experience with the ladies here! I don't have a car and took the bus for 1.5 hours to visit them because I saw a lot of great reviews. It did not disappoint me at all! I asked a week beforehand about my concerns and the communication was fast and accurate. Needed my pants to be hemmed and did not have a lot of time to spare, I made a request if they could have it done in an hour or two. Surprisingly it only took them less than half an hour for the perfect work. I was extremely pleased with the service I got and felt like every minute spent sitting on the bus to come here is worthy. The place is small but very clean, with minimal decoration but still has its calm and vintage atmosphere. The ladies are extremely friendly and nice, which I really appreciated. They are amazing! I took some work pants in because they were too long. I picked them up a couple of days later, and they did a great job with the hem! They were both so friendly and I left feeling really happy. The next day, after washing the pants, I found a rip in a seam! (Not the hem). I needed to get it fixed right away because I was going out of town the next day, and quickly drove over. They were able to fix it right then, and I walked out 10 minutes later feeling very relieved. The woman in this shop is nice.. Until you have a complaint. The first time I came in, she was screaming on the phone with someone who was unhappy with their dress alteration and then proceeded to talk about them to me.... I'd already handed her my dress so I decided to not think anything of it and left. I went back today to pick up my dress (needed hemming), tried it on in the shop (just to make sure the length was fine which it was), and left. I got home and saw that the bottom tulle was completely uneven. I mean like it looked like someone just ran scissors across and called it a day. I paid 86$ for JUST a hemming. Literally the liner layer is just cotton and tulle on top. Yes, for a wedding dress but honestly it's more like a prom dress (since I'm having a casual wedding) that cost me a little over 100$.... will definitely not be coming back. Way too expensive and from someone that prides herself on "great online reviews", her quality of work is just unacceptable. To top it all off, she lost the tag on my fiancé's pants and didn't even bother to remind me that I had a pant order on the same ticket before I left. I literally ran back in the store because I remembered. read more

I came here instead and the price was not only a fraction of the cost, but my dresses fit perfectly! I have also had some funky off the wall alternation requests and she has been able to do them all.
