Yong tailor shop is a nice hole in the wall with friendly staff. I was sure to call ahead and the nice lady was ready when i arrived. She was quick with my halter top alteration, only taking a few days. Although she did complete what i asked by tightening the halter top around the neck, however, she did not advise that I may have trouble getting my head into the shirt if we move forward with the alteration. Once finished, i arrived to the store for pick up and tried on the top. That is when i realized but luckily only needed the shirt 1x so i did not make it a big deal. In my opinion, $25+ for my halter top alteration was a little much but i also can't do it myself so.... Just wish she would have advised and made me aware of what the risk could be for the alteration. This suggestion would be appreciated by any customer and further create trust in her work/advise. read more

I got to be part of a BEAUTIFUL wedding and got to look fantastic because of this shop! I don't know about you, but I'm last minute Megan... for almost everything! I got a beautiful dress from a shop in Orlando but it was simply too long and too big in the bust area. I waited until about a month or so to take my dress in to have it fitted... yeah I'm someone's worst nightmare! But let me tell you, this shop was fantastic with getting it back to me within a week or so! I found this shop after googling for local places to alter my bridesmaids dress. I was on a budget and was dreading to see the price. I honestly thought I was going to spend a fortune. However, when I got their the woman who did the alterations was super friendly. She explained what needed to be taken in, where it needed to be taken in, and why it cost what she quoted me. I didn't realize it when I bought it, but I had gotten a three layer dress that required all three layers to be adjusted. (I'm short and plus size, so a lot had to be adjusted to the bottom and because plus size dresses are so varied I needed the top taken in to properly fit me along with the straps) I just have to say she did an amazing job, was an amazing price and was so pleasant! I didn't feel uncomfortable at all and she listened to me when I asked questions. My dress fit perfectly and there were no issues with the work that was completed for me. I will NEVER go anywhere else. When our vests came in the mail and my pants came in they were ginormous. Basically if we couldn't find someone to help us within a five day timespan we were royally screwed. Although stressed about it she took the project on and holy fuck I couldn't be more ecstatic. Even in the midst of the situation she took a second to see our position and even gave us a small discount because we were worried about the funds and when we would be getting paid. Came in to repair the zipper on my childhood blanket. I feel that she took advantage of this because she knew that it had a lot of sentimental value to me. It originally was suppose to take 2 weeks to do the repair as she did mention she was busy. I understood how other garments that she usually tend to such as wedding dresses might be more time sensitive so I can look past this. However, when it came the day I was to pick up my blanket, I called ahead to make sure it was ready. It was already alarming when she said let me check when it's suppose to be ready. She promptly went "Oh today? I didn't even THINK about starting it". You must be able to imagine how it felt to hear this. She said she could have it ready in 3 more days which at this point is out of my hands because if I went to another tailor it would probably take at least another week to get it back. 3 days later, I called that morning and she told me she was still working on it and to come back ~4 hours later. Seeing the work at the end, I think I can safely assume she was just starting on it when I called that morning. The ajumma told me the zipper was gonna be reinforced so that it can last longer but even a slight tug it seems like the seams are ready to pop. On the inside, the fabric she added was not properly surged and was fraying already. It was also not properly attached that there's a hole at one end. I couldn't make it in that day due to plans that popped up and I told her I could get it in 2 more days. So there really was no reason for her to rush this work. I just got my blanket back so this was not caused by me. It just doesn't seem like she put any effort or care into my piece. Lmk if I got scammed as this cost me 86$ and over 2 weeks of my time. read more

I found this shop by use of Yelp and by mutual friends who have used this shop for previous tailor services. I was in a very tough situation. I ordered a bridesmaid dress in January 2019 for a wedding the first week of July 2019 and the dress did not come until mid-June, leaving only a few weeks for alterations. The dress was approximately 8-10 sizes TOO BIG for me, and I knew there was no way to get a different size in time. Knowing it would be very difficult work to do and very difficult to find a seamstress who would take on the challenge, I turned to yelp to find high-rated seamstresses in the area. I have been a faithful customer until recently. I was charged twice as much for hemming a pair of pants. ($12 vs. $25) She stated it was because the leg was wider and thicker. Then, I needed buttons replaced on a dress. I provided the buttons. For replacing 11 buttons she charged me $55! I was so shocked she reduced to $44 but also charged a service fee because she stated the credit card company charges it. My plan was to never return, but when I picked up my items they were crumbled inside a plastic bag. So, I decided to share my experience with others. read more

I was so happy to find this shop. I was so pleased how fast it took her to finish my dress and I didn't even have to go back 3 or 4 times. I went once to get it size and pinned and the next visit was a perfect fit. She did a marvelous job, I had tears in my eyes. I brought a size 24 wedding dress on a face book swap and shop. Very beautiful beaded lace top with corset in the back and layered on the bottom. I needed her to work a miracle, I am like a 16-18 so it needed a lot of taking up. I worried about loosing some of my beads but she able to remove the corset, take it in and install a zipper. She took it up in the shoulders as well. The bottom was way long and I needed her to cut it off and make it just long enough so I wont trip over it and I am only 4'11, it was the perfect hem. She is really good I really recommend her. She took up my fiance pants with a bottom cuff as well and it was perfect, superb! So happy with my service and the price was affordable. read more

I have a formal to go to tonight, I just got my dress in the mail yesterday afternoon and the zipper was ALL messed up, this is the first place I called (it's close to where I am) and I spoke with Hannah. Ms Yong was given the challenge of turning a size 4 bridesmaid dress with absolutely no stretchy material into probly about a size 12! You see I bought my dress for the wedding before I was pregnant and now I'm 8 months along. Talk about big, and growing each week. I explained to her the situation and immediately she started brainstorming how she could help me. She instructed me to come back closer to the time of wedding and I would come get fitted twice before the big day. Although my bride was more flexible beforehand, she has never been pregnant and approaching the wedding date became adamant about keeping the dress, adding material of the same color, etc. Ms. Yong remained professional through all the changing demands and worked with me and a bride in Miami.
