Paolo is nice and respectful and talks well and tries to give his best service. The main problem though is that this kind spinal manipulation is drastic and can be dangerous. I had a first appointment with this center but not from Paolo. That osteopath did something to my pelvis and every morning I have been waking up with pain since then. It has been more than an year. I booked appointment with Paolo later. He seems to know what he's doing and I had a few sessions with him but it didn't solve neither my original problem nor the problem his earlier osteopath introduced. Paolo did something to my upper mid back which is still painful. Both Paolo and earlier osteopath were friendly and showed good customer service. It is just that you need expert understanding of the human structure to be able to make these kind of drastic manipulations. Otherwise they will backfire like it happened in my case. I couldn't recommend Paolo more. I have been visiting Paolo to treat pain in my arm and shoulder and  some other issues. My condition improved and my body is in much better shape thanks to him. I now also bring my 8 year old son who Paolo treats for sleep apnea and jaw pain. They have good contact, Paolo is great with kids! Paolo is an amazing osteopath. He is incredibly professional and knowledgeable, he listens well and uses different approaches. You will have to fill a questionnaire several days before the first visit and be sure that Paolo will go through it. He is also a friendly, warm person with a great sense of humor. For those who are worried about COVID19 I can say that the office takes it seriously. I injured my back while working out at the gym. I was in terrible pain and could barely move. After talking to a doctor at Kaiser, I was told that nothing could be done and rest combined with Ibuprofen was my only option. Following my parents' advice, I looked for an Osteopath and found Paolo. His office in redwood city is close to my work so it was perfect. When I went for my first appointment, I could barely walk or even sit on a chair. After leaving, I was able to walk without pain and I was already feeling so much better. I am so thrilled that I found Paolo in my search for a professional that actually knows how to deal with TMJ. I've been dealing with TMJ for about 6 years now and it's gotten to the point where I can barely open my mouth without extreme pain. It's really affected a lot of parts of me -- my ability to talk and eat, my sleep, etc. I've seen several different specialists throughout the years that claim to know how to deal with this issue but end up doing more harm than good. Anyway, I was able to find Paolo's yelp page when I got the recommendation to go to an Osteopath. This was really an amazing decision. I've only had two appointments so far, but in that time, I've seen a lot of progress. He spends his time focusing on each part of my face and neck that have the most pain and uses his knowledge about the muscles and nerves to make them feel more relaxed. After my first session with him, I could actually eat with far less pain! The best part is that he is willing to talk about the physiology behind the issues you're dealing with and explains everything that he is about to do. I feel very comfortable. I'm excited to see how each session progresses. My main goal here is to relax my TMJ pain and be able to open wider, which Paolo says is a big possibility with his treatments. I started visiting Paolo for my chronic tailbone pain that started over 4 years ago. After many visits to doctors without any success, I decided to trust an osteopath. Paolo is very professional and listens carefully to my concerns. He also answers all the questions that I have relating to my treatment. I have had the privilege of working with Paolo for about two years. He is the reason I have not had hip replacement surgery I am certain. I am 72, a white female with arthritis and have lived long enough to have reached the point where all quadrants of my body need untwisting and sorting. That's my experience of what Paolo does. Paolo has been incredibly good for my back pain; when I first met him I could not even SIT on his bed. Then he was so kind to explain me that I had to fix the pain first in a different way (which I did with a series of pain killers and a couple of epidural cortisone injections), and then go back and see him again. I did all that, and after the chemical treatment I could barely start laying down on my (and his) bed. Then, in a couple of months he helped me find my old posture, my original walking and standing ability, and, most of all, I have been painless! I am an Ironman triathlete. I injured my shoulder while playing in big waves in Hawaii and I had medium plantar fasciitis for a year. I was able to manage my plantar fasciitis last year and I hoped it would vanish during the off-season. It did not. As I was also injured on the shoulder. I went to a PT but did not see much progress. I then decided to consult with Paolo. After the 1st session, I felt a change but could not restart swimming. By doing the daily exercises he recommended, twice a day, and with two more sessions, I could restart swimming and now 2 months later, I swim 3 times a week, 3k to 4k yards per swim session without any pain. Regarding the plantar fasciitis, Paolo did not spend much time on it during the session but gave me a progression of stretching exercises to do that did it. I really liked his approach during the sessions and the follow up in between with a series of exercises that I am now incorporating in my routine. read more
