We bought a house with two dead trees and had a few contractors over for quotes. Altitude was by far the most professional and knowledgeable and not just some random dudes cutting trees. We didn't actually schedule the work until a year after we got the quote and they still honored it, which was really great. When they came over, they got to work and were very patient when Xcel was late for their appointment to turn off our power. The crew was efficient and very clean. I wouldn't trust them to cut down a weed, let alone diagnose and treat my trees. They allegedly came to my house and looked at my trees, then sent me an email saying there's nothing wrong with them, but my trees clearly have an infestation of some sort. I sent them pictures as a follow up and have been ghosted by Kevin...no response to my email. They have horrible communication. We asked them to trim our maple tree: they quoted us to trim it and take off the dead branches. But when they came out and trimmed it they left the dead branches and now it's lopsided. It looks worse than before they came. I called to complain.:...which they never return calls. They only email. I asked if I still had to pay full price for such a crappy job and they said yes. They didn't trim the whole thing because if they did it would kill the tree so they trimmed just a tiny bit to try and give it another year or two. No one explained this to us. They could have said the tree is dying we can either just leave it or we can take it down. But they happily charged the full price for the half way trim job and then assume we will pay more to cut it down in a year or so when it's dead. DO NOT GO WITH ALTITUDE. High prices. I contacted them about removing a tree and they were very poor about returning my calls, and then failed to show up (or cancel, or reschedule, or call and apologize) for the appointment they confirmed with me. Subsequent follow-up calls about the missed appointment were not returned. It's a pretty sure bet that if you can't bother to communicate on the most primitive level with your potential clients, well then you don't deserve a good review. Let me start this by stating that I should have gotten more estimates. But I was charged $750 dollars for 2 men - one hours work. I have talked to other arborists and I basically was wayyyyyyyy overcharged as the trees were small and one was an even smaller sucker. I WAS TOTALLY RIPPED OFF, once Hunter realized what a small job it turned out to be he should of adjusted the price. He charged $250 to cut a sucker tree with several branches about 3 inches wide - the other two tree trunks were only 15 inched wide which were also $250 each to take down. Rita read more

I really wish I could give this company a better review but I don't have anything that warrants a 5 star review. The first lady I spoke with was nice and seemed to be knowledgeable about the process. I set up an Appt for someone to look at our tree on a Tuesday and for an estimate to be sent via email. Tuesday and Wednesday came and went with no email. I called Wednesday night to follow up and I left a voicemail. I heard nothing for several days and now it's been a week with no contact what so ever. I don't know if it was a scheduling issue, or lack of time, or just strait up not caring to do what they said they were going to do. Either way, I do not appreciate the lack of contact. If they are to busy to take another project, that's fine, just say that. I had Hunter and his team remove a 50' to 60' Cottonwood tree from my back yard. I received my initial quote the same day as promised from Hunter, which was very reasonable. Missi (the office manager) was fantastic about initial communication and scheduling, as well as confirming the day before the service.
