The facility is clean and has every equipment you need; I've never once been without a machine I needed. It's 24hrs which is so convenient and the staff is always cleaning, helping people and so friendly- especially Dawson! My favorite part is the red light which can be hard to find. It feels so good to use before a workout. The price is fantastic and the atmosphere is very cheerful. Everyone is respectful and serious about working out and I really enjoy being here. I had heard it's something of a scene, but that's not been my experience. Overall, it's a good gym with all the basics. They're about to shut down for a few months to remodel and expand, so I'm hoping that resolves the problems they've had with locker rooms being outdated and out of service. If they just add some boxing equipment (a heavy bag, at least) I would have no complaints. I miss the sense of community that existed at Main Street Fitness and Ridge is a bit of a younger persons gym (college age and thereabouts) but I go to a gym to workout in as efficient a manner as possible, and the layout and assortment of machines and free weights is all I need. Overall, a good gym in a very good location for those in the downtown area.
