We recently completed the Tour du Mont Blanc 7-day comfort hotel version from June 25th, 2023 to July 1st, 2023, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience for all of us.
Hiking: According to the All Trails recording, we covered an average of 10 miles per day, with an elevation gain of approximately 3500 feet. The hiking was challenging yet rewarding.
Accommodations: We were delighted to have double occupancy rooms in comfortable hotels each day. The rooms had clean bed sheets and modern bathrooms with showers, providing a pleasant and refreshing stay.
Food: One of the highlights of the trip was undoubtedly the food. We enjoyed a delicious European-style hotel breakfast buffet every morning. For lunch, our guide, Nicolas B, prepared a delightful assortment of salad, fruits, bread, cheese, sausages, wine, coffee, and tea. We only needed to carry these provisions on the trails. The dinners were exceptional, consisting of full-course formal meals that left us satisfied and content.
Guide: Nicolas B was an exceptional guide, highly knowledgeable and professional. He took great care of everyone in the group, ensuring the safety and well-being of even the slowest hiker. Nicolas also dedicated an hour each day to preparing our lunches, showcasing his commitment to our overall experience.
Overall: If you are seeking a strenuous hiking adventure, covering 15-16 miles a day with 5000-6000 feet of elevation gain, this might not be the ideal fit for you. However, if you prefer a moderate workout that allows you to embrace modern comforts without compromise, you will not regret choosing this tour. The photo I've attached represents the typical scenic views we enjoyed daily.
Once again, it was a remarkable experience, and we would highly recommend it to fellow hiking enthusiasts. read more
