The support in this center is lacking, cleanliness and systems to upkeep all of the above remain largely unchanged and doomed to repeat the same mistakes. The staff overheard telling a kid "your teacher won't like you if you keep ---" overheard while we were at pickup. The toys the kids play with are broken and tired. They relied on the tv a lot more than we would like. After some discussions without change, we pulled our LO the next day. I'm writing this review AFTER I had a discussion with the director who said she "talked to her staff about that" and neglected to demonstrate any policy change for the above issues. I wanted to urge them to CHANGE the step/protocol/supports in place so that they can do better for basic safety measures. My hope is that they work on changing the steps and protocols to ensure no child is given something they are allergic to, have safe sleep practices and compassionate redirection of age appropriate toddler behavior. I didn't get very far in convincing them to change and really am worried about the kids that go there and their safety for that matter. I was appalled at the behavior above and shutter at the thought what happens when we are not there. I have so much mom guilt for keeping my LO there at all. Please, parents. Just look elsewhere.

When you jump down expecting a spring and you come to a sudden forceful, stop it jams, your back and your knees and your ankles. One person in our group is still on crutches. One nice thing about it is it seems to have a ramp into the shallow end of the pool. There are steps as well, but for those with weak knees or disabilities, the ramp is a fantastic addition. The bathrooms are absolutely filthy. I mean disgusting. So that's definitely a downer. And the lifeguards love to blow the whistles at kids doing the exact same thing we're sitting and watching the lifeguards do on their brakes i.e. jump in the water when other kids are still in, jumping over each other from the driving board... It's like a "do as I say, and not what I do"sort of mentality. But young children don't understand that, they just copy what they're seeing. There were several places to sit in the shade, which was nice. It is a nice pool. It could just use some improvements.

So I'll start off by saying the instructor we had was excellent, personable, and made the first few sessions very pleasant. The facility is nice and much larger than I expected based on its location in a smaller strip mall. There are three dance rooms, but the primary room that would be used for intro and private lessons appears to be the main ballroom which has enough room for 5-6 couples to receive instruction at one time. This also means that you could be learning the foxtrot, but the music playing would be for a waltz or other style of dance based on the other clients present. If your uncomfortable having others watch your lessons or needing to avoid other dancers and lessons even during a "private" lesson this is something to consider; however, I didn't think it was a large issue. The introduction teaches you one step of 3-4 dances and gives you some basics to work from going forward which is more than enough to fit the introductory timeframe. At this point you may be wondering what caused my rating to be so negative based on the above. The negative for me came in the after introduction sales pitch. Another instructor/owner/manager took us back to go over their packages and sold a package at ~$800 that included ~45 hours of curriculum. This was split over private lessons, group classes, and weekly "club parties" which you trade/change partners. All of this is fine; however, we have busy weeks and are unable to attend 3x per week or on Thursday's when our group courses would be. We mentioned this to the sales staff and asked about other options, but it appeared they were uninterested in selling anything else. We were told it would be ok if we missed once per week because the main value came from the private lessons, but I am averse to paying for a service I know I'm going to miss 30% of. Still hoping to salvage a portion of the process since we enjoyed ourselves we asked about only private lessons. We were told this was too inconvenient for their instructors, it would be $80 per class, and then they went right back to selling their main package. When we again said this wouldn't work the sales staff rudely close their book and left the room leaving us to say bye to our instructor and leave. TL:DR - If you don't have $800 and 3 free nights per week give this company a pass. They will be rude and dismissive as soon as you don't want that specific service and schedule.

Started out having an evaluation for my ten…read moreyear old to see what level he would start and I think they've started him at too low a level as he's gone from slowest spot during practice to being moved up to the fastest spot in the entire "learn to swim" class. In all fairness he's only been twice so far, he swims tue, thur, and Friday for an hour. I'll update this review after a few weeks. I will say they seem fairly organized, with a few wasted moments between strokes but not too bad. I don't appreciate it when some coaches are on their phones while "instructing". We are driving all the way from South Oklahoma City to Norman, the beautiful aquatic center at the Mitch Park YMCA, a good solid 45 minutes one way but I'm willing to do that if they improve his mechanics/speed/endurance! I don't think they have monthly meets, although the team is officially sanctioned. I believe their next meet is in Oct. I MADE THE COMMENT REGARDING A COACH ON THEIR PHONE DURING PRACTICE IN A NEGATIVE LIGHT//// COME TO FIND OUT THERE'S AN IPHONE APP FOR COACHES TO TRACK/TIME SWIMMERS! MY MISTAKE!
