My family member was recently admitted to Channel Islands Post Acute and spent one week in the…read morefacility before deciding to continue care at home. While the decision to discharge was based on the comfort and familiarity of home, I want to express my gratitude for the care we received during our short stay. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by Angelica , who immediately made us feel safe and supported. She was one of the very few smiling faces we saw during such a stressful time, and her warmth set the tone for our experience. She took the time to orient us to the room, the services offered, and made sure we were as comfortable as possible. Her compassion was genuine, and it showed in every interaction. On the day of discharge, Angelica wished us well and said something that stuck with me: "I'm so glad to see you going home, but if you ever want to stop by and say hello, our doors will always be open." That kind of care goes beyond clinical duties it shows heart. The facility is busy, and while the staff has many patients to care for, it's clear they do their best. I'm thankful for the kindness, professionalism, and support shown to us during our week there. While we're happy to continue healing at home, we leave with gratitude for the people who helped us take that next step. If I could give more stars I would!!!!

My father was there for 8 months with end stage Parkinson's, before passing. Personal items,…read moreincluding marked clothing, would regularly disappear. A lot of the staff are less than friendly, and a bit impatient with him, even thpugh he was quiet and calm, compaired to many of the other residents. Food quality was horrible, as family would come eat with him. A lot was inedible. Uneaten food, including fruit, would be heated again in microwave, or pureed in a blender to a mush, even though he had a good appetite and was self-feeding. Complaints met with rudeness or indifference. Considering how expensive they are, we expected better. Building and rooms were beautiful. Activities guy was very good with residents, and tried to get everyone involved in activities. My mother said she rather end it, then be put there. Awful place.

The activity director is totally involved and dedicated in making each day exciting, stimulating, enjoyable and fun for the residents. He decorates for each holiday with color, appropriate props, some moveable parts, both the interior and exterior. The food is delicious, with an appealing and appetizing presentation. I feel blessed to have my husband so well cared for and kept watched over by professional kind care takers. Linda Muzinich12/7/24

Dr. Golan is a young and capable scientist. He has a good sense of humor but is also very professional. He's well educated having graduated UPENN medicine followed by Columbia, while still keeping current on evolving scientific research and data. You'd be lucky to be his patient with his bedside manner and strong scientific and clinical skills. Office was easy to get to, park and navigate to Dr. Golan's office. Highly recommend! See their website for more information.

People that answer the phone are all now in Sacramento, but pretend like they are local "let me run down the hall to ask the doctor". 2. Needed to ask my doctor to re-activate an expired cholesterol blood test. People answering the phone said I could not do that, I needed to ask the doctor in person. 3. Have been denied the ability three times to log into MyChart due to system errors over the last few weeks. 4. Parking lot is so full you need to park on the street. 5. Biopsy notifications (cancer ones) are handled by people that have very little bedside manner and presumably little training. The phone got disconnected by Sansum on a Friday afternoon and they never called me back whilst in the middle of a positive cancer biopsy discussion. Leaving to one of the other clinics.
