I came in to have a bridesmaid dress altered and David worked with me to make sure it was the perfect shape. I knew it was going to be a complicated job going in but David was patient and worked with me to get it done! Since the brand the bride chose was designed for straight body types and I have a curvy shape we had our work cut out for us! I bought the dress a size up to fit around my thighs and booty, but this meant the top half was too long and too big. He pulled up the straps and cinched in the waist without loosing any space in the lower midsection so the dress now fits to absolute perfection! read more

This place is fantastic. Just bought 2 beautiful Hugo boss suits and didn't trust a local dry cleaners to tailor. Rita (I think was her name) was familiar with working with Hugo suits and did a stand up job. She recommended a few touches I didn't think about (wasn't pushy about it) and I'm very happy she did. Great place. Cristina did the most amazing job with my garments - especially a treasured trench coat which needed to be re-lined with special detail to the lining fabric. Their team went above and beyond, including studio coordinator Brendan who personally went to the garment district to source the lining / get the perfect color, texture and weight so the trench moves beautifully. I also appreciate the level of design, professionalism and cleanliness that they put into the space itself. Multiple fitting rooms, nice waiting area, water, mints and magazines. I've gone to a handful of scrappier tailors around different parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan - they're all old school which is great in its own way. But def pretty messy / dusty with nowhere to sit and barely a curtain to change behind. It's a nice bonus to feel so comfortable on top of the amazing work. read more

Came here last year to get a couple of pairs of denim taken in at the waist and hemmed -- it's a very nice space with several changing areas, friendly front desk staff, and the tailor who helped me did a great job on the alterations. I asked to keep original hems and the work they did was invisible. It's pretty busy so if you need a fast turnaround, check one of the other locations that might have more bandwidth on their schedule. read more

Myrna made magic happen for my wedding lehenga! When I bought the lehenga, it was 10 sizes too large (the store had insisted this was the standard size and I was stressed I wouldn't have time to have one custom made in my size), and it had awful cups that didn't suit my body. Myrna was able to tailor and pretty much customize my lehenga to my liking--definitely on the pricey side and ended up around the same price as my lehenga but it was worth every penny. No regrets!I felt so beautiful and confident. All the guests commented they had never seen such a perfect fit! read more

Myrna is excellent at her job! I brought both my wedding dress and my mini dress (for late night) to her to be tailored. The dress fits me like a glove. She nipped and tucked parts of the dress I never would've thought of (pulling down the front a little and tightening it in to make my boobs look great). She created a special bustle for me that barely looks like a bustle. The train tucks up inside for a seamless look. She was fast, efficient, and did a high end job. The front desk receptionist is also lovely and helpful. The space is also quite lovely. (You have to walk through a coffee shop to get to the stairway.. I was confused when I arrived.) Only note is that the space is a bit warm in the summer. A few extra fans would probably help. Regardless, I would definitely recommend them for your wedding dress! read more

Myrna was amazing!! I had a couture wedding gown so I was pretty hesitant to bring it to any regular tailor. After lots of research, I found this spot in Williamsburg and I am so happy I did! Myrna not only gave me the most perfect hem, but she styled my bustle into a "French bustle" which I didn't even know existed. On top of all of this, she steamed and packaged my dress with a cardboard bodice to make sure I did not have to steam the dress again on my wedding day. You can tell she is a high end seamstress with years of experience. I got SO many compliments on my dress and cannot thank Myrna enough. I'm now bringing anything I need tailored here. Thanks again!! I came here to get my wedding dress altered. Humberto serviced the dress and he did an amazing job. My dress has a ton of lace, beading, and embroidery and he was able to expertly hem it and add bustling. Humberto is so great! He fixed the all of the straps on the gown for me. It was originally my moms and I needed to get it taken in. It was done within a week rather than the full two weeks! He also noticed the price was a little high for the work and gave me a very reasonable price. I then brought in the mini dress a week later because the first two buttons fell off the first time I wore it. Gen and Cristina did a fantastic job! I had a wedding guest dress that I needed altered in just a few days and it couldn't have come out more perfect. They added in loops to the inside so my bra strap won't show and tailored the halter top of the dress to hit the perfect length so that nothing was to snug but the dress was more form fitted to my body. They did exactly what I asked for and the results were perfect! I will definitely be coming back here for future alterations read more

I really wanted to like this place. I went here feeling confident after seeing positive reviews and a nice waiting area. It feels like they try to be professional, but the only professional part about this place is the aesthetic. I came to this spot with 3 alterations. 2 out of the 3 were terrible experiences. The first one was getting a zipper replaced which, given, it was a more unique pant with a full wrap around zipper, so it definitely wasn't as simple as a fly on a pair of jeans.. but for a place like this I thought I could trust them to fix these expensive pants for me. I had to go back three. Separate. Times. First they put on a completely different color zipper than I brought in and requested. It was a brass gold which made the pant instantly look cheap and it was nothing as requested as It was made with silver. Then I give them the benefit of the doubt and they fixed the pant since it was their mistake. I come back and the zipper is put on backwards. I then have to go back a third time and they are extremely tight because they had to redo it so many times and used more fabric each time. The second issue was a simple hem on a trouser. It was $50 which okay whatever but do it right. It came un-hemmed in one leg after one wear for not even a full day. I took it back to see if I could get it re-sewn free of charge and they wanted me to pay another $50. I said I'm taking it elsewhere. Not only is Humberto wonderful to work with but his skills are unmatched! I came in a month before my wedding and asked to have my dress hemmed, sleeves made detachable and bodice brought in. I took my wedding gown to AS last minute, with only 2ish weeks to turn the tailoring around, when I realized the last tailor had done a terrible job. Myrna was able to completely re-do all the tailoring mistakes and make my gown into the one I had truly envisioned wearing the day of my wedding. I'm so happy I decided to cut my losses and come here to have it fixed, I wish i did it from the very beginning. Myrna and Maya are so sweet and helpful and the customer service here, on top of the tailoring being top notch, is also excellent. Take it from me that you won't find that everywhere! Myrna is an absolute pro. I had an unconventional wedding dress which had delicate lace pieces that needed to be adjusted. Myrna made special adjustments that didn't interrupt the pattern of the lace and fit me perfectly. She also recommended a button that let me pin up longer pieces of my dress for convenience while dancing. She was also able to work with my accelerated timeline to get the dress back to me in time.
