I did it anyway and in total it came out to $226.63. I appreciated the timeliness of the appointments (for the most part) and the easy booking process. The turnaround time for the alteration itself was about 30 days which was just right for me. The shop was pretty busy and it's quite small, but there is seating outside on a small bench and it's in a cute enough area of Williamsburg where you can kick back. My small bit of feedback would be to offer a better, full length mirror in the upper (near the door) fitting room and to offer a restroom. When I walked, sat, moved at all they are right there against my ribs. He offered to have me bring them back. I didn't have time to return right away and kept wearing them. Then came the wash. First time washing the jeans, and they shrank. Them hem is now shorter and the waist is now tighter. Not is fault per se but I feel as a professional in the biz he could have given me fair warning about the nature of raw denim, as it was a topic brought up about the style of hem needed for such jeans. All in all good work, a little on the pricey side, and it's up to you to advocate for your measurements.

I have one style jeans of which I own two pairs (I lost one, replaced them, then found the originals). They ruined my boyfriends $3,000 YSL tuxedo and when we showed…read morethem the very obvious and unrepairable damage, the staff became argumentative and claimed "there's nothing we can do." We brought the tux to this dry cleaner in perfect condition - they noted no flaws or prior damage upon intake. We picked up the tuxedo the day before a wedding. When we took the tuxedo out of the cleaning bag the next day, we were shocked to see the damage in the attached photos, both caused by excess heat in the dry cleaning process. When we took the tuxedo back to them when they opened the next day, at first the staff said we must have taken it to a different dry cleaner because they "don't do that kind of damage here." Once they confirmed our dry cleaning ticket number, the staff when into the back to discuss with the group, when she came back all would say is "there's nothing we can do." Note that this dry cleaner Better Business Bureau accredited, so if they damage or lose your clothing, the only recourse you have as a consumer is to leave a bad review and take them to small claims court.

They also stapled tags to my clothing, which is not a good way to treat delicate fabrics. I accepted the pants at the store because the flaws didn't really bother me until I had to wear the pants for a day. It wasn't a good value, given the uncomfortable result.
