Kristen is professional, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring--qualities that are becoming harder to find these days. She took the time to answer all of my questions, explained everything clearly, and made the entire banking experience smooth and stress-free. Update: Thank you for the response, but it seems to miss the main point of my review. My concern was not whether a number was eventually provided, but that when I initially asked how much was needed to bring my account current, I was told the amount could not be determined and that Rosa "did not want to get held up" checking further. Being told that a branch manager does not want to take the time to look up a basic account question is unacceptable. read more

I came in earlier today uncertain about my credit and eligibility for a car loan. I explained my situation to Griselda Z and she found a way to break down everything to me in a way that lifted my spirits and gave me hope. We sat down and submitted the application and she encouraged me to stay because the responses are typically quick and sure enough, not even 5 mins later, I got approved for an auto loan. She didnt stop there though, she informed me about gap insurance through the CU, explained all the next steps in getting to contract from the dealer, and encouraged me to call her if I needed help at anytime outside of the office when making this transaction possible. So basically I went in doubtful, and I left there shocked that this really happened and I thank Griselda for all her help and reassurance and she seriously needs a promotion or at least a raise because theres not many people like her around so thank you so much!!! read more

I recommend you do not bank here. This is the location closest to me which I visited after making the mistake of going to their main branch, which I did not have a good experience with. After that visit, I called their customer support and they said I was given incorrect information and I did not have to drive to Riverside and I could visit any branch. Too bad I already wasted 4+ hours of driving. My visit to what would be my local branch did not change my opinion that Altura does not respect their customers. They reminded me that there are many other credit union options and I'll be sure to take them up on that. read more

I came into this branch because it was share branching with my bank. When I got there I told them I came from another bank and I needed assistance filling out the paper because I don't have my right arm and my left hand I have very little movement. They Caught Me Blindsided !! . Not fair!!! but i know life isn't fair lol So this is what happened . Received pre approval email to refinance my car from Altura ... Yay of course let's get it! Original bank way to high apr & too long term. So came in applied for what's left & owed on car. Required a hard inquiry & lady probably already knew it was declined but told me they will reach back out to you. Call this number. . . Called again & it was Denied debt to income ratio was to high. I have only had to make 2 visits to this branch during the life of my auto loan. The first time was when I had the misfortune of experiencing a repo (that I had fully paid to obtain my car back at the branch location) during the difficult pandemic years, and they were very sympathetic to me and understanding. The manager at the time even gave me resources to communicate with their loan servicing department about possible skip-a-pay days, refinancing, and partial payment plans to keep me holding onto my car. I had a very hard time making payments because I was between jobs that didn't pay a lot. But they ALWAYS told me from the call center; "Just stay in touch with us/update us and we'll work with you." There were times I had to push a promise-to-pay 2 or three times in a row. They would always put notes in my account to make sure another repo wouldn't happen. The second time I came to this branch was when I sold my vehicle earlier this month since it had positive equity in it, and I came in to pick up a refund check from all the insurance payments I had made that overlapped coverage I was already paying. They did NOT hassle me over it, or try to find loopholes to avoid paying it. I was able to drive down from OC and pick up the check the same day. Friendly service from the manager and staff. I can honestly say this credit union took care of me and did everything they could while I had this loan. I'm going to really miss my car and the service I received here, but I highly recommend them to anyone considering them!! Went to ask for change because I got money from the atm and needed small bills I was on my way to the airport my fiancé has an account there and I was running late so I couldn't go to my credit union. They denied me and said no they couldn't. I work at a credit union I know that's something u can override if you wanted too. Do better ! read more
