Excellent Customer service and prices. I was a little wary of the concept when I first saw this place open, after all fried rice and donuts aren't too similar but they do both perfectly. Best donuts in town hands down, every variety is perfect, both in consistency and glaze. Their food selection is great and we haven't had a bad meal yet. There is absolutely nowhere better to go to get Pad Thai, its surprisingly excellent. Even driving to OKC some of the restaurants don't compare. Just stopped by today for the first time. I figured I'd try the Pad Thai for lunch. Lunch options are limited to Pad Thai or Fried Rice. Breakfast options include donuts, breakfast sandwiches, crossaint sandwiches, and different pastries. I stopped in about 15 min before close so there wasn't many breakfast items left besides a few sandwiches. Pad Thai was decent, not the best I've ever had, but pretty good. It's definitely a change from the standard Mexican restaurants. My only recommendation would be a few more veggies. Good portion size tho and not a bad value. I'll most likely be back. Personally my favorite fried rice I've ever had. Don't expect a whole lot of flavor! They keep it simple bland almost but it's that's not your style the soy sauce will give you the sodium and extra flavor you need. I highly recommend their pad Thai, burritos, croissants!!!, and donuts! Heads up, the rice or pad Thai may take awhile to make. They start cooking everything on the spot so plan ahead for that. I get Pad Thai and donuts almost every Saturday and have never been disappointed. The standout item for me however is their sausage and egg croissant. It's hands down the best breakfast sandwich in town. Large croissant, big slab of sausage, and a real over medium fried egg (not that instant egg stuff). read more

This is one of the very first places I visited in Altus after I moved here this summer. The food is so good and fresh. A clue that it is good food is that it is always busy, and the donuts are all gone by the end of the day. I like eating in the dining room so I can watch all the different people. You can also order ahead and they will bring it to the car, or go through the drive-through window. I love their fried rice, and the kolaches and donuts are amazing. The people who own the store are hard workers, and are so nice and friendly. They recognize me by name and my order, and that is really special. You must eat there if you haven't already. I have been to Altus Donuts and Fried Rice twice; 1st time for donuts and today for lunch. This is a great little place. Donuts were really fresh and tasty. The cinnamon roll was excellent; very delicious. A colleague had a bear claw and he said it was awesome; it looked awesome. And both; the cinnamon roll and bear claw were huge. For lunch today I had the chicken pad tai; hot level 2. Which was prefect for me. Maybe a little on the sweet side; so I'm glad I ask for some spice. One colleague had the combo fried rice; beef, chicken and shrimp; hot level 5. Which he said was great for him. My other colleague had the shrimp fried rice; hot level 2, and again is was good. I will definitely be coming back for lunch and donuts. They close at 2:00pm; so you need to get their early for the best selection of donuts. read more

Food is pretty good but definitely not worth the wait. Wasted 45 mins waiting for fried rice. There are 3 employees....1 cook, 1 helper, 1 cashier. Not a successful business model when you have people waiting for their orders at lunch. The business is a hodgepodge if inefficiencies. I recently moved here and this is by far the best food place in Altus. I went to try the ham and cheese croissant it was insanely good. The ham and cheese are baked into the pastry which I'd never seen before but it really works. Their donuts are also great. I got there around 5 and they were still warm. I went back a few days later to try the chicken fried rice and I am so happy I did. It did take a bit of time so I would recommend calling ahead but I didn't order ahead and it was well worth the wait. The lady at the counter is just a joy to be around, very happy and she makes every customer feel valued. I will certainly be going back. read more
