Amazing donuts considering it's a local mom'n'pop, the people working there are amazing for surviving this awful pandemic and I feel bad for some of the challenges they face. The pandemic has made a lot of people really antsy. Reading comments and reviews concerning small details about the restaurant or staff makes me wonder if the writer actually tried the food. In an age of uninformed complaints spread by mindless social platforms, some people have forgotten about the human connection food used to have. Of course the person making your food is going to touch it, real kitchens teach proper handwashing for a reason. Gloves can leak plastics into food and anyone who has actually worked in a kitchen will tell you that you cant always wear gloves in foodservice as they sometimes make contamination hazards worse and debilitate the food handler from properly doing their job. If you cant use your phone while wearing gloves, try handling a slippery oily 150 donut with a flimsy, floppy piece of plastic between. Would rate 6 stars if I could to make up for those who didn't give it a chance. read more

I will never go back again in this donut store and even will NOT RECOMMEND, the staff were not friendly especially the Asian young woman who served me when I visited the store she was not nice, I was the next in line but she keep saying "who's next", I was in front of her, what she thinks of me that I don't have money to pay because I look like a beggar or something, she is racist, she judge a person on outside look, I feel so embarrassed that day, it was early in the morning I just want have a breakfast & didn't bother to dress well, but she treated me like that i'm look like that I have no money to pay that even I was infront of her and in line, still she called for the next customer...very bad attitude...they didn't even say hello or thank you to the customers......(just to show her that I can able to pay I bought around 10 donuts,...and I put in trash....and went to mc donalds instead to have my morning breakfast .) read more

Oh my God, this place is amazing. From North Carolina visiting and was told by a local to try this place out and they were absolutely correct. Best strawberry turnover I've ever had. Huge portions and very reasonable priced. Staff was incredibly friendly and I bought more donuts before leaving. Very tasty and better than any local chain I've been to. read more

The best donuts I've ever had. Don't know what it is but the glaze is so dang soothing, comforting, and delicious. Eating a fresh donut that's still hot from being cooked, warms my spirit and keeps me centered. I recommend that everyone gives J's donuts a try, you won't be disappointed!!!! read more
