I couldn't ask for more -Georgia and Michael did a fabulous job capturing highlights of my big day. To start, Georgia is SUPER responsive and very serious about her work. She def. put her heart into her work. After the questionnaires and chatting on the phone with Georgia, Team Alumiq was able to reflect our personalities through the video. I didn't ask for the same day edit- but the highlight video is to die for! I also got the raw footage. IT IS THE BEST! The hard dive comes with a personal written note from them, and has a lot of mini clips and they are such a joy to watch. Their quote is clear, no surprise on any extra charges. And their quote is beyond reasonable. I would be more than happy to pay more for their quality and service! read more

This company is probably one of the most unprofessional companies that I have come across while searching for vendors for my wedding. Their work looks great but after meeting and discussing the contract, I do not wish to have any affiliation with this company. With tons of emails back and forth, my fiancé and I were quoted $4,100 which we thought was fine. We came to the Alumiq office thinking that we were going to sign a contract and leave a deposit. Instead of leaving contently, we left quite frustrated. This company has no clause stating that they will be charging additional fees but once we started discussing the contract, they started to nickel and dime everything. When I got the proposal, they even tried to tax us on mileage which is not even supposed to be taxed. Had I been some other person that was unfamiliar with tax laws, we would have been ripped off if we decided to go with them. We were going to go with this company because one of my good friends used them for their wedding and I felt like they did a great job and were very personable. I guess things have changed after several years in the business. We heard from our friends that used them that they did not get their video until one year after their wedding. That is quite ridiculous! Their excuse was that they only had one editor at a time. When my fiance asked them how long it would take, they said around 6 months but it's really based on what is in queue. If you book them and your wedding happens to fall in the busiest time for weddings, it sounds like you won't get your video until probably a year later. A little advice to this company, if you are going to nickel and dime everything, you should at least state in the clause that there may be additional costs. It was such a waste of time to meet for a consultation. I'm more than glad to take my business elsewhere! read more

I use Yelp reviews to decide on what to eat but have yet to write a review. Shame on me since I eat out so much. So, to start off my Yelp review-writing skills, I'll start with Alumiq. We got married in June 2011 and booked Alumiq in January 2011 which is pretty short notice in the wedding world. From the moment we met with them, it was a great experience! We met with several different videographers before we met with them and had decided that we wanted to work with someone who clicked with us since we would be spending a whole long day with them and most importantly could capture the love we share for each other on film. And when we met Anthony, we knew we had found the right people! =) My husband and I didn't feel videography was important when we were planning our wedding. Until we went to a few weddings and saw the work that Alumiq did, we quickly changed our minds. We hired Alumiq to not only do our wedding day video but we also did the Love Story session. We spent a day at various locations with Michael and Anthony and had a blast reenacting how we met, our first date and the proposal. They let us be ourselves, were patient, had great ideas and were very professional with all their cool equipment! The most amazing part was that we didn't get to see our Love Story until our reception and OMG it was AMAZING!!! It made us cry, laugh and love all over again. We hired Alumiq for our wedding in October 2011. We viewed several work of other wedding videographers and were unimpressed. We absolutely loved the work they had and even more when they filmed our Same-Day edit and Wedding film. Where to begin. First of all, blind luck that my wife stumbled across Alumiq productions. We were in search of a videographer that does same day edits. We didn't know exactly what we were looking for, but my wife just put her hard hat on and started watching a bunch of wedding videos in the hopes of finding the style, feel, and overall composition we were looking for. They got it to us in 3 months. That's pretty amazing for the amount of raw footage, storyboarding, song choosing, post production, etc. I honestly would have been fine with 6 (but I'm glad they didn't =p). Once again....perfect. They took the time to capture all the big moments of our day and gave it the same energy as our same day edit with a little more sentiment. As I came to the conclusion of my review, I realized that it is one long review. So if you don't care to read about my wedding day and how wonderful it was. Scroll to the bottom for my recommendation or just look at the rating (I wouldn't blame you, even I think this is too long to read but it was about my wedding). :p It goes without saying, getting married is one of the most exciting and important event in life. During the planning process, my now husband and I talked about skipping videography to save money but many of our friends said videography and photography are the two things we shouldn't skimp on. They would tell us, the day will go by so fast that you won't remember a thing and pictures and videos are what you'll have left to remember the wedding with. After listening to many "I should'ves," we decided to hire videographers in addition to photographers to capture the day. Alumiq came highly recommended through friends and family so we decided to give them a try after doing some comparison. The initial consultation was casual (in a good way) and informative, we learned about the different options that are available to make the day more interesting. We ended up going with the production of a love story and booking them for our wedding. The production of our love story took place over 3 days at several locations. I never knew so much went into making a short, 4 min film on The Perfect Proposal. We showed our short film during the reception in lieu of the usual photo collage and it was a hit! Our guests loved it and we're still being told today that it was the funniest and creative video they've seen; thanks to Michael and team for writing the story. There's more! Shortly after the first dance, my sister surprised us with our same day edit video; something she secretly planned with the team. The video captured the highlight of the day and allowed our guests to see the laughter, tears (my husband's) and the setting up that took place before the ceremony! It also gave us a glimpse of our first dance on video; we did good by the way. :) I can't rave much more of what an awesome job Alumiq did for us and how the team was discreet, professional and fun to work with. Were my friends right about hiring a videographer? Yes! The day did go by fast but we enjoyed every moment of it. (There have already been too many reviews by other girls who misses the point entirely for what guys need to know) If you, like most people including myself, are on the fence about the necessity of a videographer and the value they bring to the table, then this review is for you. Alumiq Productions not only help you capture your entire day for you to savor at a later date like conventional videographers, but they manage to incorporate the footage into your actual wedding through options such as their "same day edit" and "love story" options. These options add a real personal touch to the entire experience that can not be achieved through any amount of photos, and are worth their weight in gold and an absolute necessity if you ask me. I had so many friends and family compliment me on the great work of Alumiq on and after the wedding date asking for referrals. Looking back, I can't believe we almost didn't having a wedding videographer (for budget reasons, but also because we're awkward and camera-shy). I am soooo glad we changed our minds and were able to find and book Alumiq. Probably the best last-minute decision of my life. Our surprise proposal gift came from our very own ninja photographer, Georgia, who with her boyfriend, Michael, made the best cinematography team on the face of the planet. Well, for as far as our eyes could see. I met Georgia when I came to pay for this surprise photo package of Frank's already surprise proposal and the whole thing just came together. We just clicked. We sat and talked for hours upon our first meeting, and I felt so much at home with her, as if we'd known each other for years. We hit it off great it was like fate brought the whole package together with Michael. I watched the videos they'd done and I was so impressed that Frank was all for it before he even sat down to meet Georgia and Michael. After the first meeting, the boys got along so great, and of course the girls got along just as well as they did the first time they met, and it was the beginning of what will come to be a wonderful friendship. Georgia helped us capture our engagement ceremony, and they took the time to do a separate photoshoot and cinema session with our wedding party to try to make up for the very compressed time during the wedding. They were both so helpful and so accommodating and definitely went well above and beyond for us the entire time. They treated us like family and took our breath away with the same day edit they did for us. They are as professional as they are passionate in the work that they do, and they are always with a delightful nature and wonderful smiles. We hired Alumiq (it was Onyx Cinema back then) for our wedding videographer last year. We liked their style because they capture a story and shoot cinematically. Usually when you book a wedding vendor, you might get a person who is really nice upfront, but as soon as you close the contract they become MIA. That's not the case with Mike. He met with us before we booked him, and would check in periodically with questionnaires of what wedding video styles/memories we wanted. Though our package included only Mike and an assistant, he brought Anthony and his team on our wedding day. The team was so pleasant to hang out with and I never once felt like the cameras were obtrusive. Their final DVD edit was awesome too. I made the mistake of not being explicit in what song I wanted to use, but Mike was accommodating and made sure to deliver a final product that I was completely happy with. And if you're not sure whether to splurge for the better package, it's actually worth it. We weren't sure if we'd ever watch the video more than once, but to our surprise we've watched it a few times in the last year and our families really enjoyed having their own copy - especially those who couldn't be there. They strategically take your events and amplify it by 10 to make the viewer relive the entire day again. - Reasonable prices given the quality and value of the end product. - Same Day Edit - a must have that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. This is a new trend which every couple should have. - Very nice people to work with. Granted there are a few competitors out there that may offer the same products and services. Michael and Georgia are amazing! Not only are they extremely talented in all aspects of filmmaking, they are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. My husband and I got a highlights video, an extended 15-minute video, and cuts of the speeches and ceremony. What we really liked about them is that they had us come in to do an in-studio interview, which added a layer of personalization that we hadn't seen in other wedding videos. They were able to tell the story of our relationship while highlighting all the important moments of the wedding, which just made it that much more touching and special. Our same day edit was one of the highlights of our day and all our guests were raving about how great it was. We also did a skit which turned out great! It's crazy how they were able to edit the day's footage and showcase it during the reception. Marcus did a fantastic job!
