I cant believe I didn't leave them a review sooner!! The Mr and I looked at our wedding trailer again recently and Cloud 9 captured our wedding like how I envisioned our wedding day to be - flawless. They arrived to my parents house earlier than expected to set up, Jae and his team were awesome to work with. They were very unassuming, and discreet throughout the entire day. I can't say enough good things about Jason, Joy, and their team from Cloud 9! My husband and I chose them as our wedding videographer and they were worth every penny and more. We had a chance to video call with Jason and Joy a few times before our big day to go over expectations and our wishes, and both of them were very friendly and attentive to our desires. On the day of our wedding, we could clearly see that Jason (especially) and his team truly put in 110% effort to capture every special moment of our wedding. Because they are very personable while maintaining their professionalism, I am inclined to recommend them to anyone who asks for professional videography in and near the OC and LA areas. My husband and I hired Cloud 9 to do our wedding videography. Due to our busy schedules and long-distance livelihood at the time, we could not meet Cloud 9 directors in person, so they were kind enough to set up a video call with me to go over wedding details and our expectations. We hired Cloud 9 for our wedding weekend in Ojai, California. Jason, Joy and team were incredibly professional, accommodating, and amazing. When shopping for a videographer for our wedding we were quite picky since we had a very specific vision in mind for our wedding photos and photography, Jason and Joy patiently listened to all our requests and made it happen on the weekend of! Jason and his team are AWESOME! My good friend highly recommended him and his team. I'm lucky to work with him a little while running my friend's wedding reception as a wedding coordinator before mine. They're professional, hardworking and creative! I met up with Jason once before the wedding, he has bright and easy-going personality that we know we've found the right cinematographer! Although we both have little difficulties in speaking very fluent english, he has definitely no problem to understand our needs and presented his work even better than what we hope for! He sent us a questionnaire to ensure we're on the same page and to understand our preference when the date is closer. We decided to let him choose the songs for the highlight video to match the videography style. On the wedding day, he and his team showed up on time and nicely dressed. They stayed with us for the entire time until the reception is over. They shared us the highlight video link 2 weeks ago before shipping, my husband want to remove the part of his singing although I think the entire flow is great. They replied that it may take up to 3 weeks to do the changes due to the strict editing time. However, we received the DVDs last week. It's completely worth the 6 months wait. The music choice of the highlight video is perfect, it matches our personality so well. The videography and editing are just simply amazing!! Even the presentation of the DVDs in a gift box is so sweet and heartwarming. Jason Kim is one of easiest person to work with, especially when you've enough stress from the wedding planning. A few months before my wedding last year, I had a conversation with a friend who said his biggest regret about his wedding day was that he had not hired a videographer. He said it would have been so nice to have captured his loved ones together on such a happy occasion, especially in light of the recent passing of a close family member who had been there. It had always been my wish to have my grandparents see me walk down the aisle but my wedding happened to fall on the weekend of Chuseok, one of the most important Korean holidays of the year and they weren't going to be able to make it. With this in mind and my friend's sentiments ringing in my ears, I decided to look for a wedding cinematographer to document the day. Not only would I have a memento to look back and remember the day but I would get to send copies of it to my family in Korea, almost as if they had been there. After some intensive research, I contacted Cloud 9 Cinematography. I really loved all the videos of theirs I'd seen on various sites and had a great feeling about them. Once I met Jason and his team in person, I knew I had made a good choice. They were exceptionally professional but personable at the same time. Jason and his team showed up bright and early on the big day despite a big rain shower in the morning. They were there every step of the way, capturing even the smallest moments that are sometimes forgotten but nonetheless important and a pleasure to look back on. I can't believe how fast a year has gone by. My husband and I have just recently celebrated our first anniversary and, while I've been praising Cloud 9's incredible team to anybody who's willing to listen, I have yet to do it in a public forum. When my friends in the Orange County and Los Angeles area ask me what was the best decision I made about my wedding (other than saying "I do"), I tell them hands down, without a doubt, Cloud 9 was the best decision my husband and I made. Jason, Jae, and their team are dedicated to their craft and all have such a keen eye for bringing out the beautiful details and capturing extraordinary moments that I had missed or forgotten about. We had a lot of requests and Jason and Jae performed beyond our expectations in every way. First, we wanted to do a silly concept film to show our guests before we were introduced at the reception as Mr. & Mrs. I emailed Jae about a very obscure and vague idea of what I wanted this video to be. He took this idea and ran with it. He wrote up the entire script and sent it to us the night before we recorded. The end product was an unbelievably polished, professional, perfectly edited film that had our guests raving until this day. We also wanted to do a custom slideshow with video, but we didn't want it to be about just about us. Our parents wanted to say something special but were afraid of the spotlight and nerves on the day of the wedding. My parents spent a couple hours with Jason and Jae, and they walked out of their as good friends. I suffered a great loss to me a few days before the wedding, and I wasn't sure that I was going to go through with our day. Jason and his crew approached the situation with such grace and compassion. They went above and beyond what I expected as cinematographers, and with just a few words of encouragement when they first saw me in the morning, I knew everything was going to be beautiful. When I was planning my wedding, hiring a 'videographer' was the last thing on my list of things to pay for. 6 months after my wedding, I realized that I didn't hire a videographer, I hired a cinematographer, and can confidently say this would be the first thing that I would recommend anyone to make room in the budget for. Cloud9 is the most professional, hard working, and kind sort of company that I wish all other companies would strive to be. They are flexible, don't nickel and dime you, and give you results beyond what you could hope for. I had searched far and wide for someone to film our wedding and had nearly given up on the idea altogether when my fiance stumbled upon their work online. I was riveted immediately and made an appointment to see them. We went over plans, packages, ideas, and I booked them right on the spot, without even consulting my fiance. Trust me, the are geniuses! The day of my wedding Cloud 9 brought a crew and just spread out! It was awesome to see the intensity of their passion and the technology they maintained! They only have top of the line equipment! A few months later I got an email with my wedding trailer. Yes, trailer. Not highlight, not clip, not any other word that other companies call their short version of a wedding video. It was as if I was watching a trailer on TV for an awesome movie about to be released. The HD quality, the tiny details, the focus...I cried like a baby! And everyone else I showed cried too! My husband was speechless! The trailer was able to evoke so much from the viewer that we were doubting the real video could be any better. Alas, another few weeks go by and we receive this large package in the mail. I opened a beautiful box to see the carefully crafted arrival of our wedding movie. Inside was a bag of popcorn next to several copies of our dvd (that looked like real movie boxes, none of that sticker label stuff...everything was lasered on, top notch!), and a lovely leather box that contained our copy of the movie, along side some photos from our wedding day. This is the type of personal touch that separates a company made of people who love and care about what they do, versus a company that is all about money. Cloud 9 has given me a lifetime of happiness with their creativity. I am able to revisit moments of my wedding, and see things that I had missed during all the chaos of the day. I watch our video ALL THE TIME! So don't think you won't ever watch it and it's just a waste of money. If it's good, oh, you will watch it! I think fondly of Cloud9 all the time and wish that I had the right words to express how grateful I am for them. If you don't book them for your wedding or any other special occasion, you are cheaping yourself of beautiful memories of your life. They are worth every penny and more. I am kicking myself for not writing this review sooner. Our wedding was in October 2009. A month before the wedding we decided to hire a videographer. The deciding factor was the fact that many relatives who live in distant places or are unable to travel could watch the video after the event. We thought that it was a worthy investment and in the end it was an excellent decision. Jason met with us and was very open to our needs and ideas. He also was cooperative in trying a impromptu "video booth" idea and said he would do his best to put this together for us. It turned out to be a great way to capture our guests messages instead of doing a "man on the spot" type of interview. We also paid a little more for HD filming and it was worth every penny! Don't be fooled, there is a huge difference between film and HD. Jason and his staff member were very professional. They stayed out of the photographers way when need be and also collaborated with him on shots. They captured moments that were so intimate but yet my husband and I didn't even remember the cameras being in our range of vision. True professionals. The editing quality of the video was amazing as well. We're certain it took a lot of man hours to put the final product together and we were happy with the results. My review is long overdue!!!!! I would give them 10 stars if u could!!! I got married in June 2012, I was cleaning and found our wedding video. I took a moment to watch it and I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about our wedding video. I am so happy I used cloud9 as my vidoegrapher. I remember my husband and I was randomly looking at wedding videos and we saw one of Cloud 9's work and we booth looked at each other sand said yep they are the one!!!!! Everything clicked when we first met with Jae. He was nice and took the time to listen to what we had in mind. He then proceeded to go over all the pricing and we went home without booking. At the time their pricing didn't seem so bad. We originally wanted to go with another videographer but he was really expensive and never answered my emails. And that's when I found Cloud 9. Jae is extremely accommodating; he always answered my crazy emails within 24-48 hours and was never rude or mean. He was so nice and professional. Pricing: you'll have to email them for their most current prices since I got married 3 years ago... But let me tell you, I do not regret using them at all. They have a couple of packages to choose from and we ended up paying a little extra for Same Day Edit and we used them a little longer. They also provided a wedding Montage for us. Our package came with Same day edit, 2 Blu-ray DVDs, 1 SDE DVD and can with 2 separate covers. I believe they also do concept story's. You hurt need to tell them what you're looking for and they will see how they can accommodate you. When we booked them Jae had told me they never shot at out venue before so he took a day, went to our venue and scoped it out! How awesome is that? Their turn around was amazingly fast!! And they are super professional, nice, and accommodating. They exceeded our expectations in every way. I had so much fun working with them. This review is long overdue!! We had Cloud 9 Cinematography film our wedding in July 2015. The job they did was incredible. We opted to have a "same day edit" and "short film." They are extremely professional and their work is something you can cherish throughout your lifetime. The same day edit was beyond amazing and our guests could not stop talking about it. I still get teary eyed watching the same day edit and short film. The team makes you feel so comfortable and you don't even notice they are there filming. They blend into the background and are able to capture all the natural moments happening throughout the best day of your life! First off I would like to say, I am the biggest pain in the a$$ to deal with, and my husband will tell you the same! lol When you look for any vendor, especially for your wedding, you want someone who knows what they are doing, and doesn't need to be told how to do their job. Of course, that never stops me from trying. On the day of the wedding, they were like NINJAS! The way they move is an art form only a true professional can achieve. They would capture clips from in-between people, trees, underneath the tables, I dunno, just ninjas! When it comes to a wedding videographer, you want to find someone who is easy to work with from the beginning of the process to the very end, because you only get one shot at this. I have a certain vision for my wedding like any girl, but I take it to a whole other level. I am so particular that I would send an essay long of changes I want made to the video separated by clips, music changes, color changes, music transitions, and the exact time of each clip I wanted change for whatever reason. Not only did Jae didn't tell me I was crazy, but he never complained. Even though he didn't make all the changes on my list, he definitely knew what I wanted based on my comments, and gave me the wedding video I envisioned. Nothing is ever perfect the first time around, but getting all the right shots of the ONE day you can't repeat is an exception. You can always change the editing, but not capturing that perfect moment. I worked with Jae from the first day I entered the door of no return. Don't let this teddy bear fool you! He seemed timid, and shy, but he is a beast when it comes to cinematography, and customer relations. He really looked after my best interest, and knew what my expectations for him were. Not only did he delivered one of the best wedding videos I've ever seen, but he never complained when we were at a crossroads. He never made me worry, because I know he will fix anything I wasn't pleased with, and that is the best thing you can hope for. When you see vendors with 5 star reviews, it always crosses your mind whether or not these are friends of theirs, or if Cloud 9 gave them a discount if they wrote a review, well no one asked me to write a review, nor did I get a discount. When I looked for wedding videographers I knew the instant I saw one of their videos that I wanted to work with Cloud 9. Their work is absolutely stunning! I was still really nervous about the whole experience because my (now) husband and I are very normal people, who snap an occasional picture here or there but we are definitely not 2 hams that like to pose or act in front of a camera. Jae and his team made the whole experience a breeze. I remember one of the reviews mentioning that they're like silent "ninjas" and I actually couldn't agree more :) We got married on August 16, 2014. On the morning of, they arrived promptly on time, set up their stuff, and just went to work. Most of the time they were filming candid scenes which required no effort on our part and every once in a while he would give very clear instructions on what exactly he wanted us to do. After the actual wedding the team keeps you informed with very clear e-mails on where your video is in its processing stage. When we finally got our final product we were blown away by their work. I was hopeful that I would like our video but what we saw was way way beyond my imagination. We have gotten so much positive feedback from our friends and families on it and everyone agrees that they did a fantastic job in capturing all the emotions of the day. I seriously could not have hoped for a better experience. Before I found Cloud9 I watched sooo many wedding videos from other videographers and they were all pretty good but I didn't love their work. After watching several wedding videos done by Cloud9 I found myself in tears!!! It was like watching a short love story movie clip! Cloud9 did our wedding video and gangnam style wedding music video. We got married in September 2012 when gangnam style was #1 so our video became a hit on youtube. Having watched several wedding videos from other videographers, there is no comparison, we knew we had to book them for our wedding. We did a concept video that Jae wrote the script for and we had so much fun doing it! They were so easy to work with and super nice! We just got our video yesterday and we can't stress enough how much we love it. Cloud 9 is amazing at what they do and will capture your special day and make it so beautiful. Usually they do Weddings, but we did our Kopan Ramen advertisement videos with them. We liked their concepts and the way they shoot so we tried and the results are amazing! My wife and I were engaged in February of last year and set a wedding date for early Aug which only left us only 7 short months to plan the wedding. It hadn't crossed our minds to have video at the wedding until we randomly ran into another company online and was impressed with the production of their work. We contacted the company (which at this point was just a few months before our wedding date) only to find they were already booked for the day which left us a little disappointed. Hinds sight, I am so glad they were! We continued our search once we determined that a videographer was something we were open to and after looking at TONS of companies we stumbled across Cloud9. After reviewing their work, we were completely sold on having them be a part of our special day. We had to move some budgeting around to make it work, but this was by far the best investment we made. Having the Cloud9 team on location was so seamless, they came early, dressed appropriately and were extremely professional in how they handled their work. The only negative I would say was the wait to see the finished product since these guys take their time to really get it right. I can say in the end it was well worth the wait as our video came out amazing, and we couldn't be happier with the decision to bring them on. I could not recommend a more professional team to capture the key important memories of your special day. I was hooked the moment I reviewed some of their sample wedding videos on their website (I highly recommend you check it out) and I couldn't be happier that we decided to use Cloud9 as our wedding videographer. This review may be helpful for those of you who are planning your wedding from a different city (I was planning my wedding from across the country)! I was nervous at first since I wouldn't be able to meet the team at Cloud9 until the day of the wedding but there was no need to worry...The team showed up early, I barely noticed they were even there on the day of the wedding. The team was extremely professional and organized. I believe what sets them apart is how organized and professional they are. After the wedding, they were great about sending updates on the process of making our wedding film and providing timelines as to how long each process would take. I thought these were especially helpful. When we finally caught a glimpse of our short film, we were very happy. If you ever read their reviews, not surprisingly, they are AMAZING great as all the other said. I would love to give them 6 stars out of five if possible!!! I especially want to thank for the owner Yun Wang. She is one of the most responsible and professional person I have ever known!!!! She was recommended by my friend. After reading all Cloud 9 reviews and see all the photos, I decided to contact her. She is very nice and polite. All her team are so nice and skillful. I had Cloud 9 for my engagement photos as well as wedding. I insisted in adding my dogs into theme. If you know, having dogs in shot is not easy. I sincerely apologize that I could not able to find one person to take care two dogs during engagement shoot, so one of photographers actually had to take care of my dogs when they were not in shot. Even thought this difficulty, we successfully finished shooting. THANK YOU!!! While during my wedding, they were always standing by and taking photo to recall all the moments. Pictures are so beautiful!!! Hiring Cloud 9 is the most accurate decision I have ever made. They also always early/on time to deliver our pictures even thought they are full of business!!! (If you pay attention on their Facebook, you will know how busy they are!!!) Yun is always emailing me back within a day (I don't know how she could make this but she does!!) That is why she is the most responsible person I have known!!! The only thing I regret is that I did not hire them as videographer. (I was limited by budget at first but I really regret that I did not do it!!!) While, luckily, Cloud 9 made slideshow for my wedding and it looks like a video.
