This photographer is so not worth the money, I really don't understand the positive reviews. We did a sunset photoshoot with Alvis himself, not anyone else from his team. Prior to the photoshoot I went through his entire portfolio and sent him sample pictures I liked. I specified what I liked & didn't like, and I was very clear. He paid zero attention to our requests and did an extremely sloppy job. He charges $300 for 30 minutes, $500 for an hour session, and an extra $100 if your location requires a permit. We paid $600 and did not receive a single picture we liked. Also, even though we paid for an entire hour, he wanted to stop at 40 minutes!!! He said that's all the poses he had in mind for us. We tried to come up with new locations and poses to fill our time, even though it's his job. He insisted on wrapping up and was already gone at 50 minutes. Alvis is also a pretty short guy, so be prepared to have a double chin in all your pictures as he takes his photos from a lower angle. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

We booked Alvis for our wedding and we also did an engagement photoshoot with him. He was a little disorganized as he forgot to include an extra photographer we requested during time of initial quote and I had sent him a photography shot list but he and the extra photographer missed a couple of shots during the day of the wedding (he might of forgotten this list in his emails). He also had left partially into our reception to attend a personal appointment but had not communicated this to us (we found out from the second photographer who covered during this time). Wished he discussed this beforehand as we were expecting him to attend the entire event but was happy we booked the second photographer for 2 hours and he covered while Alvis was away. He did eventually come back to finish the rest of the event. He takes a little bit to get back to you in terms of email and texts but will eventually respond. Some feedback for him is to work on his communication skills as I was a little nervous working with him and he didn't initially provide any turnaround time for the engagement and wedding photos until I had followed up with him first. In terms of the work, we were very satisfied with the quality of the photos (again, a little disappointed we missed a couple of shots). The pictures turned out great! There were a few photos that came out a little washed out due to flash usage and a couple photos that were a little crooked but was happy we booked 2 photographers to make up for this. I would still recommend him for photography work as he was a very good eye for photography. If you have the budget to get a second photographer, definitely would recommend this. read more
