The appointment was for December 9, 2016 at 10:00 am. The knock on my door came at 9:50. They had the old 50 gallon heater out in 10 minutes, replaced the cold water inlet shut-off valve (sweat fittings on copper pipe), placed the new 50 gallon model, connected everything, tested for leaks, adjusted the temperature setting, cleaned up and drove off. My clock said 10:35. So they took 45 minutes start to finish for a professional install, wished me a Merry Christmas, and drove off with my old water heater in their truck. It truly doesn't get any better, in my experience.
