She wasn't doing a hard sell either. I really felt she was trying to help. I asked for her help in finding a second top in case I didn't like the first on me. I suggested I buy the pants in two sizes just in case, but she was correct with her method of determining the size I needed. I'm so thankful for her help! I crept back into the small hallway to see if the restrooms were still back there, they were. Just wasn't sure if they were open or under remodel as well. With that out of the way, I figured I could do a once around the store and see if I could snag a deal. Spoiler alert, there were no deals to snag. Like the front of the store, the whole area is an active remodel zone. Walls partially painted, fitting rooms sectioned off, no clearance sections by my account. Seems to be a location with no real focus or quality to offer or worth returning to. Mostly the location has a series of "U-shaped" plywood vendor stalls, that sellers show up daily, and populate with 'whatever' strikes a fancy! We have noticed that most items appear to be charitable-donation level personal clothing, effects, and recycled discarded items. Some sellers don't even bother to conceal the donation bags they have removed from charitable donation bins. The sellers who have produce & food items are not fresh, largely appear to be expired, or obtained from chain sellers per the boxing and packaging they are presented in. Healthcare products as well, appear to be expired and/or discarded items from retail. I would have say this location is more of a curiosity than a flea market.

My husband and I made an overnight trip out of it, since it was Valentine's Day. As instructed, I called when I was 20 minutes out. Cassandra answered, but then put someone else on the line to tell me that she sold the piece! No phone call to tell me not to come. No email. No apology! I am a small business owner myself, and usually never leave bad reviews. However, that Cassandra wouldn't discuss the situation on the phone, or respond to my emails afterwards, has led me to override my own policy.

Two of the prongs were visibly shifted and the band had a deep scratch that had no been there before. This was obviously upsetting to even need to bring up, but my fiance did so very respectfully and graciously and we were met with hostility and defensiveness from Jean herself. I was appalled at the rudeness in The tone of her voice. My fiance and I have never had to get a ring resized before, we are new to this. Jean went on a rant to us about how she's been doing this "for forty years" and I just stood there wondering how she's gotten away with such awful customer service for that long. Jean did agree to take the ring back and fix the prongs and buff the band, although she denied that they were the ones that messed them up. After this encounter I learned that my fiancé and I are not the only ones who have had this kind of experience at Jeans Jewelers. TWO other couples I know have had similar experiences. One of them simply asked a worker at Jeans if they could copy down their diamond number for security reasons, and Jean rudely intervened and told them that if they thought their diamond was going to get stolen then they shouldn't hand it over. Good way to comfort Your clients! And my other friends had a bracelet resized and when it came back wrong and they brought it back, Jean was not happy to satisfy their needs. Look, I get that she has Been in the business for a long time, but that is no excuse for being hostile toward your customers. I will never recommend Jeans Jewelers to anyone. And I highly suggest you steer clear if you want a pain free process for your jewelry needs!
