Now the selection here while similar to Souvenir City does have some different things so you might want to just take the time to look in both stores to ensure you don't miss something really cool on sale that you never would have dreamed you needed or wanted. Some of the items here also seem to be of less quality than some other places. Overall since Souvenir City and Purple Octopus are so close to each other you might as well check out both.

In August 2025, bought a beautiful premium long sleeve tshirt. Before giving to my daughter to wear, I washed in on cold delicate with a few minutes in a low heat tumble cycle. The gorgeous lettering just flipped off halfway--it wasn't like a corner here or there--it was most of the letters. It's December. The purchase was made in August. STILL NO RESPONSE. Here the FIFTH email I sent to them and still no response: Hi, I've contacted your store several times, using this email portal and via phone calls and voicemail that have gone unreturned. I'm hoping this time, it will get through to someone who can and will follow through on customer service. I come in every year and buy my daughter something special to remember her family vacation. My family has a condo across the street. We've been coming in since the days Ilan and his college age daughter were running the shop. We've been loyal customers. This summer, I bought my daughter an Existing Kids Tshirt in pink with a lovely PK and turtle logo. I washed it on cold delicate partial tumble dry low before she wore it and the letters were flopping off of the tshirt. I contacted the PK Trading Co using this online portal and left voicemail. No response. Another two times, no response. Months later, I attempted to low heat iron the letters back on and it didn't work. I contacted PKTC again. No response. This tshirt is a nice quality and the right color and it isn't wearable. How frustrating. I have photos I'd like to share with you and sincerely hope that someone does respond and make good on this purchase. I plan to update this review IF I receive ANY response from them. If this review hasn't been updated, it's just because there is STILL NO RESPONSE.

I would not recommend renting a golf cart from Beach Planet on Dauphin Island…read more When we picked up our golf cart, they had us inspect it before leaving. Like most customers, we assumed this was primarily to make sure the cart was safe to operate, not to document every tiny cosmetic imperfection. There were no safety issues, and we weren't given any checklist or documentation showing the cart's condition before we took possession. When we returned the cart, they pointed out a small scratch and charged us an additional $110. We explained that we did not cause the damage and asked if they had any photos or records showing the cart was scratch-free before we rented it. Their response was simply, "No, we let y'all inspect it." Expecting customers to identify and document every minor cosmetic blemish without providing a condition report, photos, or any record of the cart's pre-rental condition is not a fair business practice. If a company is going to charge customers for damage, they should also have a documented inspection process to establish the condition of the equipment before and after each rental. Our experience left us feeling like the burden of proof was placed entirely on the customer. I would encourage anyone renting from Beach Planet to thoroughly photograph and video every inch of the golf cart before leaving, or consider renting from another company that has a more transparent and documented damage policy. However, we had a fun time with the golf cart.
