The prices are reasonable and you can find anything from hoodies to snow globes. Located across the street from Pompano Beach Pier. Parking can be found on the street or at the parking garage a block or two away. We didn't purchase anything but the staff was friendly. I come here everytime when I go to pompano beach! I love this store! They have everything people would like!

Wide variety of Pompano beach shirts, hats, hoodies, etc and the prices are reasonable. They have it all: magnets, frames, keychains, stickers, jewelry..the works! The store is tremendous! Located just a little ways down from the pier. They also have all your beach needs covered if you forgot bathing suit, want an umbrella, beach chair, towel and more. I'm a souvenir tee or hoodie junkie. Everywhere I go..I come home with one. I've been to hundreds of shops all over the country. This one rates near the top of list. Usually hoodies are $50-$75 for embroidered or zip up. $29.99 here! Love that they are open LATE! We enjoyed dinner at neighboring restaurant, and then came here around 9pm. Most nights open until 10, some until 11. read more

This store has it all! I found name brand clothes like salt life and then more touristy clothes that was really nice! They had a good sale on t-shirts and sweatshirts. They also had a good selection of sun bum products and funny Trump hats and shirts. My daughter and I had fun walking through the store and then visiting the ice cream place across the street. Alvin's Island is the souvenir/beach shop located in the Fishing Village, a six-acre site of restaurants and shops next to the new Fisher Family Pier. It is located next to the Kilwin's ice cream shop and across from the Beach House restaurant. Alvin's is a chain of souvenir shops that opened their first store in North Myrtle Beach, SC. They are always located near the beach and now operate 36 retail locations as well as an online store. The shop is steps from the beach and they have everything you need to have a fantastic day in the sun. I was surprised by how large and bright the store is. They sell beach chairs, hats, bathing suits, bags, sunglasses, boogey boards, sand toys, souvenirs, and shoes. There is apparel for men, women, and children. The amount of clothing emblazoned with Pompano Beach is dizzying. I thought prices were high, $20 plus for a t-shirt but in line for what you would expect from a tourist shop. I even saw some styles I would consider wearing as a local. As nice as this souvenir shop is they sell one item that absolutely disgusts me, real baby alligator heads. They come from alligator farms where the alligators are bred specifically to be murdered at various stages of their lives for human entertainment. What is the purpose of killing baby alligators which pose absolutely no threat to humans and then sell the heads in gift shops? Why should they have to give up their lives so someone could have an antiquated cruel souvenir? We have tourist coming from all over the world and many will be going into the Everglades. This is not the way to show that we respect and honor this unique ecological system. I would like to see these horrible heads replaced with toy alligators for children and eco friendly toys and books that teach them to appreciate one of the greatest natural treasures we have, the Everglades. Pompano wants to be the beach of the future. This relic from the past is holding them back. read more

While staying in Pompano Beach, we were looking for a place to pick up a bathing suit for my daughter. After visiting a few other places, as soon as we walked in to Alvin's Island, we knew we had found the place for us. They have a huge selection of all your beach, convenience and souvenir items, well organized and nicely displayed which made it really easy to find exactly what we were looking for. Solid pricing for a beach shop and they literally had everything we needed and items were of good quality vs the junk we saw in other places. Prices are reasonable and it is located in close proximity to burger, pizza and ice cream shops, across the street from the Pompano Beach pier. Plenty of parking, but make sure to feed the meter since they are very strict about parking. The staff was super friendly and very helpful and I think that separated them from the other places we visited. Would definitely return the next time we are back in the area. read more

Normally I like souvenir/t-shirt shops. Not this one. The stock seemed extra trashy, and the staff were extra rude. Just... an unpleasant shopping experience. They have this weird selection of lighters. Like, all different kinds of shapes (guns, for example). When I was about to check out, I picked up one that was shaped like a bullet to see where the lighting mechanism was, and the cashier, without saying a word to me, pointed to a sign that said not to play with the lighters. Folks, I'm a full grown adult. I wasn't "playing" with it. I was looking at it. I'm not sure how I would buy something without picking it up, since it's not behind a case or anything. Unfortunately she had just rung up my t-shirt. I really wish I had left the shirt there and walked out, but like I said... I'm an adult. So I paid, but it was weird and insulting and I regret it.. read more

Brand new shop on the water. I picked up a great deal on one of their swimming suits. Pretty nice variety in brands that you don't find at the big box stores. Prices are fair and selection is broad. Also has a bunch of Pompano Beach souvenirs like ball caps, coffee mugs, apparel and more. Lots of sunglasses and even umbrellas when it rains! Friendly service . read more

We really enjoyed this shop, which is a decent size and has good selection and prices. There was a sale rack that had lots of very cute tops half off, marking them down to $10, which sure beats the few other local beach shops. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I was looking for a top and one employee went out of her way to bring it to me. We visited a few other shops, and Alvin's was up to half the price for the same items. read more
