A large shop with a great selection of apparel, accessories, beach essentials, skateboards, and more. It's a cute beachside store that was open late (9 PM on a Tuesday) and staffed with two employees. They offer a wide variety of clothing for both men and women. I loved the mix of sundresses, beach cover-ups, graphic tees, swimsuits, and sandals. There's truly something for everyone. Near the front entrance, you'll find beach chairs, sunscreen, and sunglasses. Inside, there are also fun accessories, stickers, and decals. Toward the back, there's a decent-sized section dedicated to skateboards. They also sell local photo prints, which felt unique and added a nice touch. I stopped in after dinner just to browse and was impressed by how clean and well-organized everything was. The store is bright, well-lit, and has dressing rooms available. I dont have enough tee shirts or shorts so when I spotted Billabong across from where i was eating I knew I had to pop in and see what they had. I didnt realize they had built a Billabong store in feets distance from the old tried and true Island water sports. Look I like IWS BUT I was dying to get some clothes from Billabong. Dont think clothes are the only thing the store carries. They have a skateboard shop section, suntan lotions, jewelry, hats and clothing as well as stickers. I asked for a free sticker after I paid and the girl kindly gave me a Billabong sticker! Cool beans! I found a pair of shorts and then found the matching top ...only thing the top I got was WAY TOO BIG for the size it said so hopefully I can find my receipt and exchange it for a smaller size!!! I may have thrown the receipt away to be honest but I will look for it! I also got a great pull over top for the fall with a great striped print. It will look great with the pants I have! I dont normally clothes shop but when I saw Billabong I had to add to my designer name collection with a few Billabong pieces! I am glad I did. What a remarkable experience. My son started eyeballing some skateboards and instantly we had Nickole come over and assist us with shopping. The young man Izzy was great help to. Horrible customer service. Rude and degrading when trying to return an item. Upon buying and shopping staff was as friendly as could be, but returners beware! Bought some sunglasses that had lenses that scratched even by touching them, which was discovered after leaving and purchasing. I entered the store to return, told the guy (Kurt), he asked if I wanted to look around and when I said no all I wanted to do was return them he instantly became rude. I had the tags, my original receipt, and item. He proceeded to tell me sunglasses couldn't be returned and there was no sign indicated in the store or receipt with that info. Why would he originally offer for me to look around and then when I only wanted to return that wasn't an option? Item was not final sale or clearance, I paid full price. To add, when we went into the store to shop we told the guy we were from MS and he made a racist "joke" thinking we would find it funny as we are not of color. He even proceeded to act the joke out in the middle of the store. read more

The store is great for shopping, they had a great variety and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, this review is for the paddleboard rental. My boyfriend's mom found a Groupon to rent paddleboards from the store, person over the phone said don't buy the Groupon but they will honor the price once we get there in person, which they did. It was at a very affordable price for four of us, me, my boyfriend, his sister, and their mom. They said we couldn't paddleboard at the beach because the waves are too strong, so they gave us directions to go to the intercoastal waters at Sullivan Park. Okay, fine. They made it sound like it was a short little walk, which it definitely WAS NOT. I checked afterwards how far of a walk it was, it was a 10 minute walk according to apple maps, but mind you we had to carry four of these HEAVY paddle boards. In 88F degree weather. With the wind blowing against these paddleboards. It probably took us 30 minutes or so. Oh, and we had to take them down a flight of stairs to get to the park. And we had a grandma and a baby in a stroller too. Once we got there, we realized we didn't have life jackets. My boyfriend's mom called the store and they said "Oh, I didn't know you wanted life jackets." Well, maybe at the beach where it's not too deep, we wouldn't need it, but in the intercoastal waters where it's deep enough for BOATS, we might need them??? There are no lifeguards anywhere either... So anyway, the guy was nice enough to bring over the lifejackets. However, how do you not even offer life jackets to begin with? We all knew how to swim, but STILL. So yes we still enjoyed our time paddle boarding, the water was nice and calm, not a lot of boat traffic. However, we still had to figure out how to bring the paddleboards back to the store since we were not gonna be able to walk these back. We asked the store if they can pick us up, they said they are not insured to do that. Ok, fine. One of us basically had to walk to the car, drive to get the paddleboards, drive with the trunk of the SUV open while someone holds the boards so they don't fall off, and do it again another time to return all four paddleboards.. SO INCONVENIENT. I just wish they knew how difficult it was to walk to Sullivan Park with these dang paddleboards. I'm in my late 20s, still pretty active, yes I'm pretty small and so I had a hard time. I couldn't imagine my boyfriend's mom who carried the board the whole way there. No warning whatsoever of how difficult the walk there with a 40lb paddleboard would be. We honestly would have just walked to the beach and had fun way more fun falling off because of the waves. read more

This is an awesome location for a surf shop. IWS has always been around but Billabong is one of the more recent businesses to open up in the area. Now the shop itself is great and spacious but the problem is more the employees! Whenever I walk into a surf shop, the feeling is bright and fun, the employees should be happy to help and knowledgeable with any surf related questions being so close to the beach. I hate going into surf/skate shops when they are run by a ton of young girls who have no idea what they are talking about! The problem with this location is that exactly! I have been going here for quite some time, and just now have they gained a more knowledgeable staff. Finally I see some men that surf and skate and know what they are talking about! Hallelujah!! Also, the girls working need to SMILE!!! I have repeatedly seen these two young girls, one with dark brown hair and another with long blondeish/light-brown hair that always look like they are having the worst day of their lives!! They order around all the other employees that look like they should be the ones ordering these two girls around! The two girls were rude, and I could overhear them ordering employees around while I was shopping. I also asked the one with long blonde hair a question and I was shocked when she looked at me, made a disgusting face and ignored me completely!!! I have NO idea how these two girls are still working there but I see them all the time. The times I go into the store and don't see those two, the atmosphere is completely turned around. All the employees are working with a smile, happy to be there by the beach, and not completely silent and scared like when those two girls are there. I hope whoever is in charge of this shop does a serious clean-up with the females working at this shop and puts the right people in charge. A surf shop is no place for a hostile environment. read more
