Bought a new swim suit top yesterday put it on today and bent over the clasp broke. This suit top wasn't cheap either. Anyways called them and asked if I could replace it next time I'm in town. Mind you I'm not asking for my money back I just want a swim suit that will fit my damn boobs. Main reason why I drove to Saint Augustine to find this top. Cause this chick ain't a Walmart baby. Getting off the subject again... I called them hoping they would fill my pain since the top hasn't even been out of the store for 24 hours. The lady first said don't you see on your receipt that we don't give refunds on swimsuits. I then smarted off saying of course I read it. I don't want to return the bottoms just the top that broke. Well she put me on hold and was talking to another gentleman and they said o can return it toady and today only. WTF..... I may live in Florida but Saint Augustine isn't just a stroll down the yellow brick road. It's over 2 hours and to be honest I don't feel like listening to my children Bitch for that long...... so the moral of my story is I will NEVER go back to Alvins. I will never recommend this place to a stranger on the beach. You all can suck it. read more

Worthless store and management. And supply at that. Bought two dresses two weeks ago. Both of which are already falling apart after one wear...one strap actually fell off as soon as I put on. I had thrown away the tags and receipt because I had no plans of returning. Anyhow, went this morning telling them my story and can't even help a local out and exchange the one dress. Over priced junk. Was going to purchase an over priced bubble gum machine ring for 2.99. When I got to the counter, the rude girl said it was 5.99. When I brought the tray of rings which was clearly marked 2.99 to show her, she calmly pealed the price off and threw it in the trash can. After asking to speak to the manager, she said that if I had asked her to honor the price--she would have. I said I shouldn't have to ask. I went with some friends who wanted to get some gifts to take back to Michigan. We saw I sign on the store that said "free salt water taffy for purchases over $40, while supplies last." My friend checked out before me and paid $75 and some change. When it was my turn in line my friend was already in the car waiting and called and said "I never got my free taffy, will you see if you can get it for me?" I figured it wouldn't be a problem so u asked the man behind the counter if I could get the free taffy my friend forgot. He said I don't know who your talking about and was very rude. I tried to be as polite as possible, he demanded a receipt from my friends purchase (in a very rude/condescending manor). I said "no need to be an asshole" and walked out with half of the items I purchased because he neglected to put them in the bag. Upon returning less than 5 minutes later with my friend and her receipt the man behind the counter was still snarky and very rude. I presented the receipt for for my friend to show proof of a $75.89 purchase and the man said "we are out of stock of taffy." As I walked I said to a few other shoppers "if you spend more than $40 you should get free taffy, just a heads up!" Needless to say, you will get the stuff you are looking for here, but who wants to support a company who treats their consumers like this. Between me and 5 friends we spent a good amount of money here and all wish we went somewhere else to support local business that is accommodating and honest. Just my 2 cents. read more

BEWARE!!! They don't even deserve 1 star! My husband and I purchased some shirts at the Naples downtown store for gifts, some were sent up North to relatives and we also kept one for my husband. We washed his and most of the lettering and decoration came off. In the meantime my sister from up North was sending hers and her husbands back because the sizes weren't right. Thank goodness because it would have been embarrassing If she washed them and all the lettering and decals came off. When I received her shirts I brought them back to the store and showed them the one that had been washed and fell apart and they said it was buy one get one free so there was nothing they could do. We asked for a manager and was told there wasn't one there. We were parked out front and my husband went back in to find out what time the manager would be back in and when he came out I could see the girls in there laughing about it. In the meantime a guy pulled in that we had seen them call as we were parked so my husband asked if he was a manager and he said sorry for what happened but he was just another employee. We are in our fifty's and have dealt with a lot of people in our lives but never any people as rude as the people working at this store. If you buy any merchandise in this store don't expect any compensation for damaged merchandise or even curtesy for that matter. This is a tourist location so I'm sure it's the only way the business survives. They must depend on customers either sending them as gifts to relatives of bringing them home and not bothering to deal with a return or exchange once they leave the state or country.
