When the doctor referred us to this "home hospice" we didn't realize there are several different…read moreagencies. At first it sounded great, but this organization CAUSED way more stress than they alleviated - for the patient and family. They belittled her decision to want to die in a facility (preferably Branford inpatient hospice or a hospital) and kept insisting that she should want to be at home. Medication was left with no clear instructions about dosage and timing. Appointments were ignored and staff would "drop by" when they felt like it (often waking everyone in the household up after sleepless nights). When we tried to get her into a nursing home because they said she wasn't "ready" for in-patient hospice (unable to walk, not eating, yelling that she wanted to go to hospice and die) they directed us to file for chapter 19 at the Access Health... wasted HOURS and finally figured out the resource was somewhere totally different (I think it was the government site). Personnel in the home appeared to be looking at personal papers on tabletops. The home health aid was the only one who really helped, after weeks of having her not cleaned up. To be fair, one of the on-call nurses was very caring and helpful with late night medication questions. They often would not wear masks and some used the restroom and didn't even wash their hands! Family did not want them living in the home, so the only alternative from them was letting adult children figure out how to lift and move her from bed to bathroom to couch - always a painful experience, physically and mentally. Thankfully, she got her wish and was finally admitted to inpatient hospice (excellent care). All I can say is that there are other choices and would not recommend this agency. Oh, and one last thing: when she passed away there was not one single card or other acknowledgement of sympathy from them.

So glad I didn't accept the job there. Thought I made a huge mistake but the turn over is high and…read morethe HR people are out to just make their commission.

Every single person I encountered, from the nurses and doctors (shout out to dr Paul Murray!!!!) to the technicians, support staff, my anesthesiologist and every other employee made me feel valued, comfortable, and truly cared for throughout my full knee replacement. One experience that really stood out happened before my surgery. I happened to stop a nurse named Maria in the parking garage to ask for help clarifying my pre-op instructions. She didn't hesitate for a second to help me, and to my surprise, she ended up being the nurse who prepared me for my surgery! It felt like such a reassuring and positive sign, and her warmth and professionalism immediately put me at ease. Before, during, and after my surgery, the attention to my comfort and well-being was outstanding. Everyone went above and beyond to make what could have been a stressful experience feel calm, supportive, and even uplifting. I am deeply grateful to the entire team at St. Francis Hospital for the incredible care I received. You didn't just treat my knee, you treated me with dignity, compassion, and genuine love. Thank you for making such a positive difference in my recovery. I highly recommend St. Francis Hospital to anyone looking for exceptional medical care. One more thing, I find the board in the room so helpful with the nurses names on it, my room number etc no need to remember. Also the pharmacy, and the ease of having my RX ready before heading to my car was a huge plus.

The nurses claim they are in complete control, more like control freaks with out much self esteem. They call security over anything and every time I've noticed that there's a at least one girl in the corner being strapped down and drugged. Not sure what the deal is. I'm sure most people would prefer some friend and a keg, but if you're thinking about or considering my snorty, than prepared for intolerable nurses and a straight jacket.

I've been in other medical facilities and never witnessed this type of response. I was truly knocked off my feet. The genuine care that was presented through every step every staff member turning my wife over to the next staff member was complete information from one to the other. Took the time to speak and handoff to the next person with controlled urgency. Witnessing all of this was truly comforting for me cause right then I knew she was going to get the best possible care that one establishment could give. So far 17 days and not one little issue with her care. I cannot be more grateful for every staff member starting with the guard at the front entrance all the way to the doctors, maintenance it goes on and on. Thank you all so much for taking such good care of my beautiful wife and giving me a sense of calmness that cannot be bought it is just given and received with a genuine understanding.

After 5 hours of offering pain medications to me and I having told them every time that I had not eaten that day. They came in wrapped my ankle which was wrapped so tight I removed it. They re wrapped it again then told me to try crutches, I got about 10 feet and asked to get me to the bathroom where I vomited. Then then put a anti nausea pill in my mouth and told me my color was not good. They put me in a wheelchair and wheeled me to the waiting room and left me. They then also billed me for medication I know I did not take. HORRIBLE!!!!!!!

He passed away 2 wks ago and we did not hear from her for 10 days. Then she has the balls to send a card with other people that we have no idea who the hell they are. What is wrong with these people, they should not be in this business. She would come in for a visit that lasted maybe 10 mins and when asked how things were it was always the same, " no change". She never involved "the family" in the care plan, didnt even speak to anyone else in the home but me, and i would have to ask. If they had reached out to us in the days of his passing maybe we would feel differently, but nothing, not a peep for 10 days and the only reason she called was for paperwork to be signed. They can wait for it!!! And they are getting no donation......Sorry, this just really hurt

The Care quality of Yale is top-notch without disclosing much of my personal reasoning, after my operation, the nurses and Care team went above and beyond for their patients. I worked with a specific doctor and I've been working with him about over a year counting with the post office operation which makes it 2 years. I asked my doctor If today marks the last time I'll see him and he gave me a really big hug stating that this is not a goodbye. This is a see you later and he is always available in case if I need him for any future purposes, but I feel confident that he did a great job and I will be able to move forward confidently. They had, however, done an ultrasound to determine this. Two weeks later I called to see where my refund was. I was told it could take 45 days for insurance - given that they did do the ultrasound portion, I did not mention that had the original doctor made the same determination from the original ultrasound, I wouldn't have been there. 45 days later, I call. Yup, I do have a credit balance that would go back to my credit card. A week later, I still don't have it. They had to have my money up front - now they have had my money for 2.5 months. Not acceptable.
