Find someone else! Amanda verified via email that she would update our vows with the below…read more Something happened with her iPad at the wedding, and she cut our vows from 25 lines to 5. She had made the updates as she said she would but her iPad froze. She should have had a backup printed out as Staples can do this anytime. Her traveling between weddings does not excuse unpreparedness. When I addressed it with her, she denied it occurring. My husband tipped her beforehand, not afterwards, which was a mistake. I can't believe we paid $500 for her to screw up a 10 min job. I spent my wedding and honeymoon so upset and she refuses to acknowledge what happened or give us a refund. She told my family member, who I believe !00%, that she hoped she could remember our names since it was her 4th wedding. What a flop! Don't be the bride upset at her wedding and honeymoon like me. This is what we had agreed to via email: Together: Today I make a solemn vow before God and all who are present here. I vow to love you to the end of my days to grow with you and not apart, to make my accomplishments, ours, and your challenges, mine, And to love you deeply and honestly, as your teammate and your partner. I choose you. NONE OF THIS WAS READ: Her: To stand by your side and sleep in your arms. Him: To be joy to your heart and food for your soul. Her: To learn with you and grow with you, even as time and life changes us both. Him: To laugh with in the best of times and carry through the worst Her: To never take your actions, words and kindness for granted, Together: And I promise to keep choosing you, every day, forever Forsaking all others, I commit myself to you. Him: To serve you with tenderness and respect Her: To share in your hopes and dreams Him: To consider your well-being as important as my own Her: And to listen with you for God's call for our lives Together: Where you go, I will go - where you stay, I will stay From this day forward, you will be my family I promise to fight for life, for joy, for us Her: I'll fight for our future together, no matter what challenges we face. Him: I'll fight for your dreams even when you think you can't anymore. Her: I'll fight for our love, to keep it strong, even when life tests our resolve. Him: And I'll fight for the truth, that we uplift one another and make each other better people Together: I will love you faithfully and today, I marry you with no hesitation or doubt Whatever may come I will always be there Each of us believing that love never dies As I have given you my hand to hold, So I give you my life to keep.

Ceremonies by Alison - Lots of laughter during our ceremony!

Alison was the perfect officiant for our wedding this fall at the Durham Museum of Life and…read moreScience. My wife and I interviewed a couple of other officiants, but felt an immediate connection to Alison. She was very thoughtful, and considerate, but never stiff or overly formal. Funny, but not reaching for any laughs or reducing the ritual of our ceremony. And also so organized and experienced in leading the type of intimate ceremony we were looking for! After assigning us questionnaires to fill out with our backstories, Alison weaved together a beautiful, elegant, heart-felt script that both brought the two of us to tears and forced the corners of our mouths up into grins. Several of our guests asked how long we had known Alison, and were shocked we only found her online. I truly hope this review inspires some other lucky couple to pick Alison for their wedding!

Alison got back to us within a day, we did our zoom intro and got down to business. She was extremely receptive to our wants and needs and tailored a ceremony that was perfect for us. Communication leading up to the wedding day was stellar and the process couldnt have been any easier. On the day of she jumped right in, asked all the right questions and helped me wrangle our guests and kept everything on track. She made sure we had the best ceremony for us and left me feeling stress free and very well taken care of. Afterwards she took care of our marriage license so that we could get packed up and fly out for our honeymoon. I couldnt have asked for anything more for our big day. Working with Alison for your ceremony would be one of your best choices in what can be an overwhleming process.

Margo and David were great as far as being on time, and planning the wedding all together. We…read more definitely paid the price of two officiants which was fine with us we just wanted a great wedding! The reason why they only get two stars is because we had a same sex marriage and on our phone conference going over all the parts of the wedding in detail we were promised it would be how we wrote it. However, during the wedding words were changed around, things were added, and we felt uncomfortable and disappointed at our own wedding when it was not supposed to be that way. He gave the option for family members to speak and say something during the sand ceremony and that was not planned at all. David also messed the biggest part up and instead of saying "Mrs and Mrs" he said "Mr. and Mrs." And we stressed to them that this was important to us. The reason why we are so upset is because that is on all of the recordings because he did not prepare. They were friendly but the officiate needs to practice and think about how important someone's wedding day is to them especially a same sex wedding.

Hiring this photographer for my beach wedding photos was indeed the worst decision I've ever made…read more What started as a warm and friendly experience, turned into an absolute nightmare for our family. The photographer (Margo Sears) apparently cannot handle rejection or when a client is not satisfied with her work. Instead of treating a complaint professionally and courteously, she resorts to disrespect, insults and taking personal shots at the client. Please take a moment to read my story. I can tell you; this photographer is not at all who she initially portrayed her to be. The photo session took place on the evening of Sunday, July 30th, 2017 at Sunset Beach, NC which included me, my husband, our eight-year-old daughter, and my mom. Sometime after our photo session, I received an email from Margo informing me that the balance was paid in full (We paid a total of $354 which included an enhancement add-on) and the photos were being shipped to us on a flash drive. She also stated we could preview a few of the pics on their Facebook page. However, we were not happy with the preview photos we saw because they were not flattering and the quality was lower than expected, so I emailed Margo back "Hi Margo, I'm not happy with the photos. Can you please take them down from facebook? " She responded " I am very sorry. They are gone from Facebook now. There are over 100 pics on this flashdrive so maybe there are many others you will like instead. I thought you looked lovely in these, especially in the difficult conditions we had of very low light and crowded beach. But if the problem is one I can fix, please let me know. Otherwise, blessings to you. Warm sand, Margo" After we received the flashdrive with the photos, I extended an olive branch, I sent an email that I happy with some of the pics from the flashdrive and I would send a list of ones to add to their site. "--- Margo's next and last response to me took us all by total surprise.. Due to the character limit I cannot post the full thread. "Hey, I am very glad you like them now. Don't send me anything--the posting on Facebook was a preview for your benefit only. Since you have all pics now, we don't need a preview anymore, dear. It's all good now. Honest moment now, woman to woman, Latoya. I just want to give you a heads up that as a professional, I took your rejection of my photos very seriously. It upset me a great deal and I worked extra hard on this project. Now you say there wasn't anything wrong with those pics after all. While I am glad that's the case, I do feel jerked around, sad, and under-appreciated. I did more than most photographers would because I am nice, and your daughter and mom were also awesome. Now, I am truly sorry if my words upset you, but that isn't my point-- Please be very careful what you reject or say negative to her as time goes by.... . I'm a grown woman, older than you, and you hurt my feelings without meaning to....-- My response - Hi Margo, Reading your email, I am truly in shock however not too surprised. You call yourself a "professional" and a "follower of God," however sending such a nasty, judgemental and rude response to a client (human being for that matter) who has paid for your services is nowhere near professional or Godlike. I'm not sure what your end goal was here, but if it was for me to lose respect for you as a person, and regret using your services at all, then I guess you have succeeded...."-- We are discussing legal options as we were not going to promote this business after such an awful experience. My husband has said that it is sad that he is defending this country for individuals of her character. I've posted my review on the WeddingWire.com and The Knot. She disputed my initial review on WeddingWire, and I had to redo it. She also responded to my review on The Knot. However, Margo's response is under investigation for inappropriate content. Please Be Aware.
