We are a family dealing with an aunt with prior mental illness who is now fighting dementia. She's…read moreprob one of the more difficult cases the home health care industry in NJ has seen in a while. To be frank, she can be demanding, mean, uncooperative, combative, lacking any and all manners and just generally very egotistical. Some home health agencies just backed out the door halfway thru the interview and walked out because they refused to work with such an A-hole. However, we've been so blessed with the help of Marge, the RN caseworker and a SPECIAL shout out to Claudia, the physical therapist. She's SO good and can reason with my aunt and get her to understand why she must cooperate to get better. My aunt has a phobia of joint replacement (which needed to be done 20 years ago) so she's as stiff as a board and cannot bend at the waist. However - I've seen physical improvement in my aunt's walking in 2-3 visits! I could sing their praises all day. P.S. Rowan Geriatrics also has been really awesome with helping administer the tests so that we can get guardianship over my aunt bc she truly cannot care for herself, neither mentally nor physically.

They have not only been willing to help find solutions to our problems with caring for our mother and her particular medical conditions, they have checked in frequently to get input and feedback as to any concerns, issues or questions we may have. They have been very proactive in their approach and services and it has provided our family such a relief and sense of calm. Communication and coordination of services has been spot-on. This is the first time we used non-family/friends in a paid care situation. We made the mistake of believing a recommendation and not interviewing the caregiver prior to assignment. Lack of follow-up by Life Force management after a post employment call from Life Force left us viewing this as the $2200.00 lesson on what can go wrong with bringing strangers in your home
