In every picture she's taken of my son, I'm amazed at how well she captures his personality. Nailing a shot of a toddler running through the woods? No problem. She's also game for doing whatever it takes to get a great shot - getting down on the ground so she's on my toddler's level, putting a cow on her head to make him laugh, balancing somewhere precarious to get just the right angle. She's a consummate professional and the joy and passion she brings to her photo shoots is truly something to behold.

Three points bothered me about using Tipping Point. 1. Not terribly creative. Liz didn't have much in the way of suggestions on how to make our photos fun and interesting. She gave us some nice locations, but beyond that, "Okay, smile!" was about all we got. Most of the "fun" pics we got were things we thought up ourselves. 2. Byzantine, paranoid (in my opinion) legal releases. Liz is very concerned that someone is going to steal her work. "Photos shared in public fora (e.g. Facebook) must be the low resolution, watermarked versions! Photos (of *my* kids) cannot be used in 'cutest baby' contests!" Where I might have become an advocate for her work, the coercive nature of her contract is such that I am inclined not to share the photos online at all. We did not have this much legal baggage with our wedding photographer, who did much more (and much better) work for us. 3. Late on delivery. Liz told us after the shoot that it would be a "couple of weeks" before we got the pics because she had a trip planned. We told her that was fine. After the two weeks were up and I emailed her to check on progress, she cheerfully told me that it'd be "another week or so". After a month, we finally received the files. I didn't like the lateness, but even more than that I didn't like the fact that she never apologized or even raised the issue. Pretty unprofessional. As I said at the start, the quality of the photos was not bad, but the rest of the baggage that came with it gives me second thoughts about recommending Tipping Point.

The preview gallery was terrific - there's not a single photo that we don't like. Can't wait to see the final edits! Before the photo session, Maija made several great recommendations of the locations based on the types of looks I'm looking for. During the photo session, she suggested different things we can do and made our 13mo giggles a lot, despite the fact he wasn't feeling great since that morning. After the photo session, she quickly put together a preview gallery for us to look at. Another plus is the fee structure she has. It was broken into two parts - a session fee and image & print package. I really like the idea that I can choose the amount of prints after I see the preview gallery. Of course we purchased the whole package since everything was perfect.

My wife and I have two beautiful girls age 1 & 3, and being 21 months apart they are a handful. They are also going through that shy phase. So I needed a photographer that could handle two rambunctious girls, but, one who could also be warm and inviting so my girls were not afraid. Enter Edyta. She has children of her own, so knows how to handle the wild toddlers! She has such a caring personality that my girls immediately took to her. They loved being photographed by her. Edyta took the time to meet with us at our desired photo shoot location (Chicago Botanic Gardens) and walked through with us and discussed all the possible poses and best locations within the garden, and best time of day. She also proposed an outline of timing and when to take certain photos so the girls would be at their calmest. Since we never had professional photos before we did not know what to wear or color matching etc. Edyta gave us several pointers which were very helpful. She also allowed us to email her with different outfit ideas, so we could look out best come the photo day. We are very pleased with the end results. The photos came out perfect!
