We heard this place was good so we decided to try. We ordered a few items. The salad rolls was good, but nothing special. The lemongrass chicken on rice was better. The chicken wasn't dry and I can actually taste the lemongrass flavor, not like some other places. The service was okay, it was busy and there was just one guy doing the orders, getting the food and doing the till. Maybe they didn't think it would be too busy on a weekday.

Before we leave Victoria and we decided to come back again for the yummy food ! The boss is very friendly and pleasant, very nice guy. We need to order more as the kids love the beef ball so much

Coming from the Bay Area where there's plenty of good Vietnamese food, Alysa's Pho is really good! They make good Southern style Pho here and it's authentic! The owners are from Saigon, VN so you know it's good :). The broth is so flavorful, so flavorful that I didn't need any sauces! It was honestly good as it is. Portions are huge and service is nice and friendly. Highly recommend trying for some authentic Vietnamese food in Victoria!

Great pho you! Alysa keeps the menu simple. Pho, appetizers and bahn mi sandwiches. No rice dishes. The pho noodles were excellent. The soup base was one of the best we have ever had. It was not oily and did not taste like it was loaded with MSG. We also had the grilled pork. The French bread they use for the bahn mi is excellent. We had a great lunch. It was so good I didn't remember to take pics!!!

I've ordered takeout beef pho from here multiple times and it's really good- flavourful broth and good portion size.

Tofu and broth was too sweet and extra vegetables ordered with my Pho was a very small portion.

Used to go to Pho tru, untill I tried Alysa's. The broth has great flavor and the portions of the large are massive.

My favorite place to eat, especially to buy bánh mì every time we go to Victoria. Good price and Bánh mì here is super good!

The pho is excellent. Fresh produce used. There is a red version as well which is also good. The Banh mi on the other hand is just ok.

Review Template ===…read more1. VERDICT/VALUE Not the cheapest place for Vietnamese food, but it could be considered a little more authentic than some of the nearby competition - 3.5 stars! === 2. FOOD Sugarcane Shrimp, Grilled Pork Combo ($23): It's a bun - a vermicelli bowl with shrimp mousse wrapped in sugarcane and grilled pork with a spring roll. I might skip the shrimp next time given the cost... Prawn Salad Rolls ($12): Pricey - but decent and relatively authentic; peanut sauce is chilled (if that's important to note, as some places serve it much warmer). Meatballs Pho (Large - $19): My little guy likes noodles and meatballs - this is the Vietnamese version of the Italian classic we all know :) === 3. SERVICE We were lucky - unlike some of our fellow Yelpers, we came in about 40 mins before closing time and were seated quickly and served quickly. We never felt like they were trying to hustle us out of there and the server was polite and professional. === 4. ENVIRONMENT It was a little dim with daylight running out; I assume it's fairly dim at night as I don't recall much lighting. It appears to be an older place (built in the 80's or 90's?) but relatively clean and comfortable. You could fit wheelchairs and baby strollers in here as well as groups large and small. Parking is interesting: metered parking on the street or a parking garage would be your only options.
