I recently saw a bike that I wanted. One of the salesman gave me a price, all in. When I called again to inquire about the bike, I was told it DID NOT include certification or safety, and it was being sold "AS IS". I called yesterday, March 31, 2021, talked to the owner, Gregg, who informed me, that since they didn't have the time or resources to safety the bike, he'd knock a few hundred dollars off. Great, I told him, I'd be in the following morning to purchase. I arrived this morning, April 1, 2021, and to my dismay, there was a "Sold" sign on the bike. Gregg had sold the bike from under me!! He knew I was coming in, He NEVER asked me for a deposit over the phone to secure it, not a call to inform me that someone was buying it, NOTHING!! His justification was to tell me that its "nothing personal, its just business". REALLY!!?? Well, if this is the way they do business, that their word doesn't mean anything, that you can't trust what was agreed upon, then what kind of business are they running!!?? Regarding AM SALES, I went there to look for a motorcycle and found one I liked. The salesman allowed me to put a small deposit on the bike and told me that if I found anything wrong with it during the purchase he would give me my deposit back. I hired a mechanic that I was referred to by someone else to go there and take a look at the bike for me. He reported that everything was good. The salesman printed off a Car Proof report for me. He also gave me the VIN number so that i could go a get an Information package from the Ministry off Ontario. Everything checked out good so I Put a larger deposit on it it and he make up a bill of sale. He told me the bike would be Certified. later he called me and told me that the tires were pretty much worn down but were good enough to pass the safety for Certification. He also said that he was not comfortable with this and that he would replace the tires with good quality ones at no cost to me. The mechanic I hired did not tell me about the tires so I was disappointed with him. I will be more careful in the future about the mechanic I hire. For me AM SALES was really good to me as they could have Certified the bike without telling about the tires. I would recommend them. read more

I cannot recommend anyone purchase a motorcycle from this dealer. If you do decide to visit, ask some pointed technical and relevant questions, after you get a reply (or lack there of), turn away, leave and never come back. Upon arrival, no greeting, no introduction, not even "I'm Bob, I run this place". From what I saw, it appears that he buys bikes, cleans them, takes some flattering photos, and flips them for as much as he can get. I didn't see a shop bay for a mechanic or a motorcycle lift, it looked more like a detailing facility to clean and prep his motorcycles and cars, which then makes me question the MOT Safety Certificate. I did not see a Mechanic License visible anywhere in the shop. When I asked specific questions about the bike I was interested in, the answers were vague, curt, offensive, and deflective. He offers a "taillight" warranty. Once he can no longer see the taillight, the warranty expires. He claims to have "sold 200 Harleys last year", a fact he repeated and repeated as if he was trying to convince himself. When engaged in a genuine rational conversation he got frustrated and simply walked away. If I was an emotional or impulsive buyer, he is the perfect salesman for me and might explain his sales last year. As a knowledgeable and informed buyer, he seemed to have no time for me. Terrible van buying experience from Jim the sales guy. My son recently (about 2 months ago) purchased a used cargo van at AM Sales in Toronto. Big mistake. They say all vehicles get a 48 point safety inspection. (hmm not sure about that) and there is a 1 year engine and transmission full warranty coverage. The one headlight was dim when he picked it up and it burnt out on the 4 hour drive home, no big deal. But 3 days later the gauges start jumping and the van won't start after shutting it off. Wes have a mechanic look at it and it and he says that someone has screwed around with the electrical already so he fixes it $400 out of our pocket. Jim did send us an electrical component at no charge worth about $100. Now this week the transmission starts acting up but we aren't to concerned because Jim told my son that he has warranty coverage. But come to find out the coverage max is $750. Wow that sucks because the transmission repair bill is $2800. When my son calls the warranty place and the dealer they give him the brush off and just say sorry nothing we can do. This is my sons 1st automobile purchase and I wish he would never have found AM Sales....they are very helpful when you are buying but terrible away the fact if you have a problem. I wanted to purchase a vehicle from AM Sales. I had a phone conversation after exchanging a few emails. I decided to call to firm up on my offer. Within 30 seconds of introducing myself and asking about some details on the car he began to speak to me in a condescending tone, and when I told him that I wanted my own mechanic to inspect the vehicle before I purchased it, he literally said, "well I can't be driving all over the country to have someone look at the car!!!!" I did not even get the chance to tell him where this mechanic was, it was just an assumption that he made. He proceeded to become aggressive, and I was so shocked at the way he was speaking to me that I told him I would call back. I have NEVER been spoken to by anyone like this guy has to me. We had less than a 3 min conversation and I was blown away at unbelievable behaviour. I have no idea how this man has ever sold a car before. Honestly, the price is right for the vehicle and I am very motivated to purchase it, but there is no way in hell that I would give him or this company one cent. I strongly recommend you rethink this retailer, they employ rude, disrespectful, and shockingly inappropriate people to represent their business. Clearly hey have no standards on how to speak to a human being, there is no way I would trust what they claim to be true about a vehicle. Look somewhere else for your next car, it is not worth your time to have to talk to a prick, even if it is only for 3mins. read more

COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL WITH THE RUDEST SALES MEN/OWNER. i wouldn't even give it half a star if i had the choice. Jim Mc Cabe is one of the rudest people i have ever come in contact with. I had emailed and inquired about a car, I had taken the drive not having my gps (only phone gps) that kept getting us lost, we didn't know our way around because we are not from there. We called the dealership for directions (which the receptionist was rude and hung up on us). After not making it up that day i received the rudest email stating that they had another buyer but told them to come back later because I was interested in looking at it.. (NEVER GAVE HIM AN EXACT DAY THAT I'D BE UP, could have sold it if he had to) i received an email saying that the other fella didn't come back and pretty much its my fault along with a snarky "thanks a lot". i than replied that it really wasn't my fault and that id take my business somewhere else because him and his receptionist need a lesson on working with people. i then received an even worst email that stated "'thats funny I'm the only one here. i had a customer with me when he called neither one of us could believe how many times we had to explain how to get here"' (which they did once) to continue he also stated "' what kind of idiots leave the home to drive to a strange city without directions, that was you at dixie and steels, he even put it on speaker phone and between the two of you couldn't figure it out, good luck in life you're going to need it!"' that is the exact wording i received from this as*hole. I do not recommend purchasing from AM Sales for either a motorcycle or a car. I was a previous customer (bought a motorcycle from them three years ago which wasn't a bad experience) and based on that purchased a used car recently. Long story short my recent experience was horrible as a part needed to be replaced on the car before we picked up the car. The owner was abrasive, offensive and certainly not customer oriented. Please, save your time, money, and effort to look elsewhere. Trust me I will never recommend AM Sales to anyone. Buyer beware!!! read more
