The teacher was so kind and patient. The lesson was perfect for my 4 year old. Can't wait to see his progress!

I understand that it is hard to find authentic dojo in foreign country but this dojo is the one. The budo is not only about physical or winning the competition. As a Japanese, it's more mental and spiritual. Discipline, patience, respect, self esteem, mental core, mind.... And our children are learning and gaining all of that qualities over time. Slowly but surely. Highly recommend.

Training is in Japanese, is of the highest standard and is equivalent to what one would experience training in Japan. We offer a free trial period for new students and transferring students from other schools/dojos. We offer transparent competitive pricing without contracts. This is not sport karate or taekwondo. There are no high-fives, fist bumps, colored uniforms, multi-colored striped belts, patches for behavior, time in rank promotions, or guarantees of a black belt. If you are training elsewhere and question whether you could defend yourself if your life depended on it you are wasting your time and money. We just train and we train for results. We were not communicated that the child had to be dropped there and parents can't even see them perform at practice. This is such an important piece of information that should have been communicated. We took our entire family for this and had planned out the day accordingly. But we were super disappointed and our child was crying end of the day as he was not mentally prepared to be left all alone there. Common white tiger takewondo u can do better

Our 11 year old daughter who is on the brink of receiving her black belt at the USTA writes about…read moreher experience: "Earning my black belt at USTA is one of the proudest moments of my life. It's not just a belt to me - it is a symbol of all the hard work, and determination I've put in over the years. When I first started, I didn't know much about martial arts. I had a lot of admiration for the higher belts and the black belt students who I saw during belt promotions. But as I continued training, I realized it's about way more than just impressive moves. At USTA, they teach us to be strong not only on the outside, but on the inside too. I had to learn discipline, respect, and how to stay focused even when things get hard. There were times I wanted to give up, especially when I couldn't get a kick right. But my instructors, classmates, and family always encouraged me, and I kept going. The process of qualifying for my black belt has been super intense. I had to demonstrate excellence in everything I learned--forms, sparring, board breaking, and self-defense. I was anxious, but I am also ready. When I finally tie that black belt around my waist, I think it will feel like I can accomplish anything. As part of my practice, I help younger students and try to set a good example for them. USTA has taught me that being a black belt can be the beginning of a bigger journey. I'm excited to keep learning and growing. I know there will be more challenges ahead, but now I believe in myself. That's what earning a black belt at USTA means to me."

What does it mean to earn a black belt at USTA…read more When I started taekwondo about three and a half years ago now, I had a lot of social anxiety, At first I thought the instructors calling us out in class for what we need to fix and what we did well was meant to embarrass us, After a few months I realized it was truly meant to encourage us to do better and to help build our confidence, At first I started taekwondo Because I wanted to learn Bo Staff and other cool weapons. Still, I realized after my first month that I enjoyed taekwondo as it is, and my goal changed from just getting to learn Bo staff To Learning these skills and kicks such as the whip kick and starting just to feel more comfortable with myself. To get to black belt, you must learn its concepts and apply them in real life. Along my journey to a black belt and the journey beyond, I've learned Patience, Discipline, and Focus, amongst other things, but those three have helped me the most in my day-to-day life. Committing to this journey has been one of the best decisions of my life, I've grown so much as a person, When I started i wasn't used to the physical strain this could have in terms of pushing my body, In the years i've been here i've gained so much strength both mentally and physically and I hope to continue growing in both for as long as I can. Learning to trust myself was the first part of my journey with USTA, and getting to black belt will be the next Step in my journey. My journey may have started with learning to trust myself, and this may be the next step in my journey, but it is far from over. As a whole, this journey I'm partaking in has helped me grow so much, and I hope to continue growing along with the others at this academy for as long as I can. -Heather H.
