This wide-open store has displays…read morethat let you browse floor tiles by pulling out enormous flat drawers, and check out wall tiles on huge walls that roll back and forth. Both are big improvements on the system some places use, basically big heavy boards with just a couple of pieces on each, all jammed together in a standing rack. The selection at the East Hanover store is large but thanks to that careful display construction it didn't feel overwhelming to me. Joey A. was a big help with finding selections, suggesting size and color options, giving me quotes in email and correcting a box of broken decorative pieces. Also threw me a small discount, thanks man. As with every tile store I've found, only grout is in stock locally, every other d*mn thing has to come from far away and takes 1-2 weeks. Return policy here on non-special orders is full boxes within 15 days. Which of course is impossible, construction schedules never work out that neatly. Anyhow if you have a full box you should keep that ish for repairs when something goes south three years later. Basically ya gotta treat all sales here as final, don't kid yourself otherwise. These guys also will arrange for shower doors and glass panels, all strictly list price and boy those prices are daunting.

Customer service runs a business...remember that as I go on…read more We have been going to East Hanover Home Depot for many years. Frustration abounded with either not being able to find help or if you found someone, they didn't really no much about what you needed. *****About a few weeks ago, my wife and I went to HD to purchase a number of assorted items, either individual or in bulk. Walking in the front door, we were GREETED, YES I SAID GREETED, by 2 young(er) women, who immediately said, "Good morning", can we help you find what you want," I looked at my wife and asked " where are we?"*** I responded by saying to them what we needed. Again, so quickly and politely , both went right to their tablets to check?! Both answered almost in sync, " Please go to Aisle 13, Bay 5". We followed their answer, with directions, and in Aisle 12, Bay 5 there were the items we needed! Ok, 1 time Home Depot was , like, a different , better Big Box Store? We went back to purchase a lot of merchandise needed. AGAIN, WE WERE GREETED WITH A " Good morning" , can we help you find what you. came in for? We told them once again, and again, we were guided to the right aisle! We were greeted by Ria and Chris, both so nice and knowledgeable. Chris sat us down, and we were asked what we were looking for. The entire Department, Ria and , Chris, in particular, took us through what we wanted, needed, then put together a complete plan for us to approve, change, whatever. We were again taken care of with knowledgeable and understanding people. I'll finally end to say that we had to go back, 1 to exchange something that I purchased incorrectly. Taken care of quickly, (with a smile) by Customer Service, then again we're guided to the correct aisle, etc. A new mandate for East Hanover Home Depot definitely. WE CAN RECOMMEND that you can now go to Home Depot, not to wander around looking for (maybe) help, but definite help and with a totally different attitude . Thank you East Hanover Home Depot...we'll be back with confidence to purchase what we need. PS...lastly, their prices are either in line with others, or better.! Finally.

Not sure if it's the store's fault or website. If one item was like that, then what else is like that? OVERALL: I would absolutely come here for any home improvement needs you may have. However, if you look online for where the item will be, take it with a grain of salt

**Pictures to be updated next month Aug 2024 after our renovation fully wraps up**…read more For months, my sister and I were daunted by the thought of renovating our Cobble Hill, Brooklyn condo. One weekend, we visited various tile and fixture stores near our childhood hometown in NJ, scraping for motivation and inspiration. We walked into Alba Kitchen and Bath in East Hanover on a whim and were warmly greeted by Serenay. This one serendipitous meeting gave us the comfort and confidence to jumpstart our entire project! We are so grateful to Serenay and the whole team at Alba for our beautiful new kitchen!  Here are 3 reasons why working with Alba has been a wonderful experience and why I wholeheartedly recommend them.  1. Seasoned Kitchen Design Experts:  Serenay accounted for every inch of available space in our kitchen and produced multiple renderings (see pictures 3 and 4) showcasing different design configurations. For example, we have an awkward wooden beam which previously left a gap between the upper cabinets. She commissioned custom shallow cabinets, and turned both the top and bottom into usable cabinet space!! She also advised us on how we could maximize space inside our cabinets, such as getting rid of the lazy susan we originally had in our old corner cabinet. The renderings were super helpful in visualizing what the kitchen would look like. Our appliances also fit perfectly back in during reinstallation.  Serenay was also able to take the "inspiration" picture I sent her (see picture 5 - this is from Brittany Marom's 61 Rivington project) and turned it into reality. We chose thin shaker (Luna collection) Fabuwood upper cabinets in White Dove, lower cabinets in Kona, and Maharaja quartzite stone backsplash and counters. Maharaja quartzite is actually the stone we saw in the showroom kitchen countertop. We fell in love with the horizontal striations and after quite a bit of sleuthing, Serenay helped us track down its origin.   2. Clear Communication: Serenay was very direct and clear about what was included in scope (e.g., we would need to hire someone else to remove and reinstall appliances given their COI scope in NYC). She always answered our questions instead of dodging them using vague terms (we noticed a lot of contractors we spoke to, instead of getting into details, would just say things like "It will be great. It will look really nice" whereas Serenay would actually tell us *why* it would look great, *why* we might want to go with Fabuwood instead of other cabinet manufacturers, etc). Scheduling the measurements; cabinet delivery; cabinet installation; countertop installation; and followups were also a breeze. At our request, she also connected us with the stone yard so we could inspect a sample slab, and to meet the stone fabricator so we could preview where they were planning to make the cuts.   3. Fair and All-Inclusive Pricing: I googled Alba beforehand and was reassured by several blog posts/reviews that they get the best pricing on Fabuwood cabinets in NJ. From the start, Alba's quote also included the cost of materials and installation for both the cabinets and countertops, and it was very fair, especially for NYC. We were considering just refinishing our 2002-era cabinets to save money. Working with Alba allowed us to get brand new cabinets with all the bells and whistles, like soft-close and pull-out utensil cabinets.  Throughout this process, my sister and I felt so lucky that Alba is willing to do projects in NYC and not only NJ.  Since we are still mid-project with other renovations, I don't have the best pictures yet of the finished product. I will update this review with closeup pictures once we clear all the construction materials away. But in the meantime, do not hesitate to choose Alba and especially the wonderful Serenay. THANK YOU Alba Kitchen and Bath!!

First of all, Simon, the owner is amazingly patient, knows how to make recommendations when needed and does not push you into a decision you'll regret. 20 plus years ago he put in our new front doors and then a year later he installed 44 solid mahogany doors throughout our house. Every few years he comes back to prime, sand, restain, and touch up the front doors that get a lot of sun. This year he came back to also touch up all the 44 doors and give them a refreshing look. Quality of workmanship, quality of products he uses and recommends are top notch. Same service, commitment and focus on giving customers what they need is his hallmark. We're now on the process of using his company to do 44 windows around our home. Simon, correctional to check all work done to ensure it meets his high standards. Work is solid and clean. We tried to find one on-line, we went to Lowes and Home Depot, and we could not find one that matches what we need, and the contractor needed it ASAP. We remember THE STONE SHOP did our kitchen last year so we called and Ashley told us to come over right away and pick out a slab we like and she will have it cut to the right size for us. We went there at 11 am and selected one that matches our wall tile color and Ashley said she will have a piece cut out to our specification by 3pm. We went back at 3pm that same afternoon and the piece was all ready for pick-up, all polished to perfection. We brought it back home and the contractor installed it right away. They were incredible in thinking out of the box to help us out. I cannot thank them enough for saving the day. They were friendly, accommodating, and affordable. They did not jack up the price just because it was an emergency. They will bend over backward to help you out. Thank you Ashley and Frank for making life so much easier for us.
