At my request they sent a nurse out the next day, Amanda, originally wanting to go late afternoon. I requested morning as changing a bandage for a wound does not get better when it isn't addressed and they accommodated. My mother had just gotten home from the hospital Friday the week before which was relayed to them (Devan) Thursday of the previous week. Amanda confirmed with my mother, who is scheduled for 3 visits per week, that someone would also be out the next day, Wednesday June 28th. This did not happen, as on June 28th Platinum was scheduled and no showed/no called again. I called and spoke with Crystal and let her know this was now two consecutive times now. Her answer was "maybe Platinum was not able to meet my mother's needs". I requested emails for her supervisor which she promised she would provide. This never happened either. I next heard from Nehad Qudah, VP of Nursing, around 530pm that same day. Nehad confirmed against our wishes that Platinum would not keep her as a customer but would help get another home health set up and out there the next day, Thursday, to give care and change her bandages. She promised she would work on this the next morning and call me at 10am. This did not happen either. At 10:21am Thursday I called Nehad, no answer, and text her, no answer. Almost 2 hours later at 11:55 she text me back giving me instruction to call the doctor and have another company set up. Her promise that my mother would have care that day was not going to happen either, and I now had only half a day to try to find a home health nurse to attend to my mother that day. So, in turn, the care that Nehad promised the previous day for that day would not happen either. I heard from the owner of the company who seemed to be the first and only person concerned over these events. He asked what happened, I told him, and told him we needed someone out there that day. This did not happen either; they chose instead to have us find an alternative home health with a half days' notice knowing we would not be able find this. Today is Friday June 30th, and we still have not been able to get a new home health company set up. Platinum is well aware how long it not only takes to set a patient up and schedule a visit, and they knew we would not receive the care we needed that they chose to deny us so abruptly. I only share this with you so you may be able to consider when choosing Platinum to care for your loved one. The recruiter then asked if I would train my replacement. How would that make you feel? This is a complex patient and a graduate nurse should not be caring for anyone with the acuity this child has. I have been an RN, BSN since 1991. It was VERY unprofessional for Ernesto (recruiter) to drop this bombshell in my lap while I was in the patients home. He should have spoken to me when he knew I wasn't there. If this was an isolated incident I would've been gracious and moved on, but this has been the rule and not the exception with this company. That send you on "meet and greets" that are dead ends. Shame on you MGA

Then the company decide to text with details way after expaining everything that she's uncomfortable from the well behaved trained dog that was present for the evaluation. Then continued to try and get staffed with someone else just to go through the whole entire company not responding to anything but maybe once a week. This company is straight trash and will leave you high and dry as I can see on reviews from prior seems to be a common occurrence. Also my wife has time stamps of everything to prove it! FYI y'all's computer is still here if you care (also shows how much y'all pay attention) but y'all should compensate her time for being trash at y'all's job making it hard on someone that's already going through the unimaginable

Told me my delivery date and that Gabriel would call when 30 mins out. He arrived on time, set the bed up, made sure it worked, when I was done he picked it up on time and thanked me for my business. Hopefully I won't need this service again but if I do, I know who to call.

I have had semi-electric hospital beds in my home for decades. (Medicare doesn't provide fully…read moreelectric hospital beds.) The current bed's control began to fail, leaving the occupant in the same position for many hours. Medicare could not tell us if the bed was five years old or not; a DME (durable medical equipment) provider of Medicare beds would have to do that. We were in need of a specific feature on a bed made by Drive Medical. Years ago, such beds had a mechanical way to manually change the position of a home care hospital bed in case the power goes out. But no more! Most beds now have a 9-volt battery installed inside the motor housing or some equally inaccessible location, particularly for the occupant of the bed, and particularly if the room is dark because the power is out! What are these manufacturers thinking!? While the Drive battery is now in the bed's hand control, be aware that its sole purpose is to provide enough power just to let the bed down to the flat position! At least the occupant (if a spare battery is within reach) or care partner can change the battery easily. We change the battery every 6 months, with the time change, when we also change the smoke alarm batteries. We also keep a few spare 9-volts in the refrigerator; if there is a small refrigerator in the occupant's bedroom for medications, ice, food, or drinks, that's an ideal place for batteries. We have never experimented with them to see if the knees can be raised/lowered or the head raised once it is down with the power out. A to Z Medical Equipment and Supplies was, thankfully, the first and only company I called. They confirmed that they carried Drive Medical beds with the backup battery in the hand control. Getting replacement equipment from Medicare has become a process. Our home care physician had to visit in person to confirm that the bed was indeed faulty. A to Z Medical was able to determine when the bed had been delivered--4 years and 11 months ago! I panicked, but only for a moment. Given the circumstances, A to Z would deliver a new bed the next day and bill Medicare later. In fact, the bed and the doctor arrived at the same time. There was one problem which I might have foreseen and now you might, too, if you need a replacement bed. The single driver was shown the location of the broken bed and asked me if I had someone who could disassemble the bed: he was expecting a space where he could place the new bed, not this. I called one of our attendants, who was in the middle of getting new glasses. He dropped everything and came over. The driver, meanwhile, left, saying he would return. When he did, the attendant had easily removed the head and foot but was struggling to get the platform folded in thirds. He asked the driver if he knew how to fold it and he stepped right in. Then I realized the ridiculousness of his "not my job" mentality. The old Drive bed and the new one were identical so he could have pivoted and had the old bed disassembled in less than 5 minutes[ it is easier than getting the pieces assembled by yourself. My employee could have saved his time off and gasoline, and continued getting his glasses uninterrupted. I did call A to Z's Sales team and thanked them for their compassionate creativity before I suggested that they better coordinate the situation and the driver's instructions. You might ask them to verify the same if you are receiving any large equipment that might be difficult to get through hallways or doorways, or as in this case, it is replacing an existing piece of equipment that will need to be disassembled and removed. Which reminds me that this driver was not willing able to do anything with the old bed. Since it was inoperable, and we had someone who could take it out to the curb, we had our solution but you might want to ask your DME about their disassembly and disposal policies. Some other options include alerting a junk collector (We use Nextdoor.) donating reparable items to Goodwill stores that hire workers who clean and repair items for sale; not all do, or donating useable items to an appropriate local charity.

And because we had a complaint about the nurse and asked to have a replacement they dropped my elderly mom. One of the many complaints was the nurse wanting my elderly mother to give her self a shot and when my mother opposed the nurse continued to try and get her to do it. We went to my mother's Doctor and told her of the situation and she said absolutely not under no circumstance is my mother to give herself a shot! So they came up with a fabricated story and dismissed my elderly mother from their care. They came up with a complete lie and dropped my mom. Unbelievable!! I do not at all recommend this company to anyone.

We have been using Legacy at Home caregivers for our mom off and on for over 5 years. We have had…read morewonderful experiences with them. There have been times we've needed caregivers 24/7, and there have been periods of time when we've only needed a caregiver for a few hours here or there to support mom while venturing out to a doctor appointment. Legacy at Home is flexible and allows us to shift between mom's needs with very limited notice. After a recent fall and an ER visit, mom was sent home about 10-11pm. With a few hours advance notice, we were able to have a caregiver meet her at her facility and stay the night with her to provide the support she needed. The schedulers are fantastic and the caregivers are warm and loving. If for some reason a caregiver cancels at the last minute (car accident, illness, dangerous weather, etc), the scheduler on duty will work tirelessly to find a replacement caregiver and they will call back with regular updates on their progress - no matter if they are successful in locating a replacement caregiver or not. And most of the time they are able to find a replacement caregiver. They have amazing people who are caregivers. Many of them have made this their career choice and they want to help and support their patients. It may take a few caregivers before you find the right personality match between your loved one and the caregiver, but once you find the right matches, it's a wonderful thing! The caregivers select their preferred schedules and patients and you start to see the same people over and over again because they form very sweet caring relationships. The caregivers may even text an update here or there, if you also form a relationship with them. I highly recommend Legacy At Home. They have provided significant peace of mind for our family knowing our mom is being well cared for every day.
