We have been using Legacy at Home caregivers for our mom off and on for over 5 years. We have had…read morewonderful experiences with them. There have been times we've needed caregivers 24/7, and there have been periods of time when we've only needed a caregiver for a few hours here or there to support mom while venturing out to a doctor appointment. Legacy at Home is flexible and allows us to shift between mom's needs with very limited notice. After a recent fall and an ER visit, mom was sent home about 10-11pm. With a few hours advance notice, we were able to have a caregiver meet her at her facility and stay the night with her to provide the support she needed. The schedulers are fantastic and the caregivers are warm and loving. If for some reason a caregiver cancels at the last minute (car accident, illness, dangerous weather, etc), the scheduler on duty will work tirelessly to find a replacement caregiver and they will call back with regular updates on their progress - no matter if they are successful in locating a replacement caregiver or not. And most of the time they are able to find a replacement caregiver. They have amazing people who are caregivers. Many of them have made this their career choice and they want to help and support their patients. It may take a few caregivers before you find the right personality match between your loved one and the caregiver, but once you find the right matches, it's a wonderful thing! The caregivers select their preferred schedules and patients and you start to see the same people over and over again because they form very sweet caring relationships. The caregivers may even text an update here or there, if you also form a relationship with them. I highly recommend Legacy At Home. They have provided significant peace of mind for our family knowing our mom is being well cared for every day.

We accepted nursing students to help for the needs in my husband health. She was nicer and she did her duties that were written down for her. She came to work exhausted; I would go ahead of her and do things so she would not be asked to. We allowed her more time to do shopping as she had a very difficult time of it and would call and need extra help. She had a language barrier that at times was very hard to understand, making conversation unpleasant, and she would tell us she could not understand us. Victoria their supervisor was there to support them in all ways, you the client if reporting issues to her in my case were told that she would talk to them and that she did not want to have this conversation again. Lesson learned here for us is not to accept a student to work for you, their personal load just maybe too heavy for them to do a good job. Also, read the rating of a company before accepting their help.

Yesterday, the day before Thanksgiving they let him go. He was surprised, I was shocked! They told him it was because of "restructuring." They have been restructuring for a long while. They have talked to him many times and telling him that they were restructuring and not to worry. And still, they kept making changes that were very much affecting him..like cutting his pay in half. While he was still employed and they were still restructuring yet they continued telling him there would not be any more changes and they wanted him to stay. He decided to stay until after the holidays and then he would move on. THEY LIED. And they wanted him to stay through their restructuring. Yet They knew all along what they were going to do.. AX HIM! DO NOT GO TO WORK FOR NEXUS HOME HEALTH they will do the same to you!!!
