I am helping my fiancé write this review as he doesn't use his yelp account. These are HIS words:…read more "Where do I begin? Valeria and Francesco are the reason for our special engagement. It is difficult enough to plan an engagement, let alone trying to plan it from a different country where you don't speak the language. However, with the help of Valaria, everything I was nervous about went smoothly. In September, I decided to propose to my then girlfriend on a boat, while at sea, with Positano in the background, on our first visit to Italy! I had a rough idea of what I wanted to do but thanks to Valeria and Francesco, I was able complete my vision. Valeria helped me arrange a violinist, a photographer, champagne, flowers for the special occasion. Francesco, who is Valaria's husband is the captain of the boat who picked us up from Santa Caterina hotel boat dock and hung out with us happily for hours. My now fiancé thought that it was just going to be a private sightseeing cruise as Francesco hid the violinist and the photographer below deck until it was time to propose. I was totally surprised! He also popped the champagne for us. Francesco took us around and gave us a tour before I proposed. He dropped us off at different ports in the Amalfi coast and always waited for us patiently while we enjoyed ourselves on land. Even while eating, shopping and drinking. He was never too far away and reachable via cell phone at all times. He also had the best attitude! He was such a pleasant guy which was an added bonus to our already perfect day. After I proposed (and she said yes!), I finally felt relaxed enough to actually enjoy the sights as Francesco offered to take us wherever we wanted to go such as The Blue Grotto, Capri, Positano, around Amalfi Coast, and so on. He also offered to let us jump in the ocean which we did (one of our best memories from our Italian trip) while they captured our moments in photos! Thank you to Exclusive Cruises for making our day and being so accommodating in every way. I couldn't have done it without you! We will always recommend you guys to anyone who asks. Thanks again!" -Glenn

We booked a private boat tour of the Amalfi Coast and Capri with Exclusive Cruises, and it was…read moreprobably the best excursion we had during our trip to Italy. We cruised on a small boat with just the two of us and our wonderful captain, Luigi. I'd highly recommend choosing a private tour if at all possible because you can go to areas the bigger boats can't, you're not confined to a set agenda and you can jump out of the boat when you want. During our tour, we left early in the morning from Positano and first cruised around the private island of Li Galli before heading east to Praiano and Amalfi. Along the way, we saw the Furore Fjord, Devil's Mouth and Arc of Lovers, and we jumped off the boat at a secluded grotto for a quick swim in the Mediterranean. From there, we cruised to the Isle of Capri, through the famous Arch of Love and visited several of the island's renowned grottos - again jumping out for a swim. On the way back to Positano, we stopped at the town of Nerano for a late lunch. It was truly a magical day along one of the most beautiful shorelines in the world, and a huge reason was our extraordinary tour guide, Captain Luigi!

AH-MAZING! Everything that they say about the Amalfi Coast ... the beauty, the weather; the super…read more"cute" towns, the serenity, and all the hypes ... are all real and validated. This is heaven on earth. A spectacular stretch of southern Italy with cliffside towns, turquoise water, lemon groves, tiny beaches, and windy coastal roads. It is absolutely stunning and ridiculously beautiful here! My recommended spots - in order of preference. Also a crowd meter 1-3, with 3 being very crowded. * Positano. The iconic, glamorous town cascading down a cliff. Beautiful but steep, 2.5 crowded. * Ravello: A peaceful hilltop town famous for gardens, villas, music, and panoramic views. 2.0 crowded. * Maiori and Minori: Flatter, more practical towns with larger beaches and generally better value. 1.5-2.0 crowded. I really like it here. * Amalfi: Too touristy, but why not - you're here. A lively historic town with an impressive cathedral and convenient boat and bus connections. 3.0 Very crowded. Enjoy your time here at the Amalfi

Compromised of 13 town and villages, this region was originally a maritime power between the 9th…read moreand 13th centuries, with notable merchant families and political affluence prevalent. Over centuries as their power waned, the sites became fishing hamlets and subsequently now tourism destinations due to the scenic beauty of their natural landscapes. These mostly quaint municipalities are: Amalfi, Atrani, Cetara, Conca de' Marini, Furore, Maiori, Minori, Positano, Praiano, Ravello, Scala, Tramonti, and Vietri sul Mare. Many are located along the water, others like Ravello, Tramonti, and Furore, are perched on the slopes of the Lattari Mountains, and to reach them you need to take public or private transport up the winding and narrow cliffside roads. Personally, my recommendation is to pass on driving yourself, unless you like tackling these types of harrowing driving terrains. Parking is not easy to find and many town centers are pedestrian only so you have to get out and walk anyways. For the coastside towns, travel by ferry is a more convenient and lovely way to see the waterfronts and mountains. The unique topography of the cliffside towns led to cultivation of lemons, citrus and vineyards, which have become synonymous with the region, and during the warmer months you will see citrus and especially lemons everywhere! EVERYWHERE. Walking down the street in Sorrento, after a whiff of motorcycle engine exhaust, the breeze carries a lemon scent when you walk close to one of what feels like hundreds of lemon orchards - in public parks, private gardens and sometimes just randomly along the street. Shops carry fresh lemons the size of grapefruits and I even saw one the size of my head (no exaggeration, see pic!) and every type of lemon souvenir you could imagine under the sun, edible and non-edible. Of course local cuisine incorporates lemons into their dishes too! Amazing food can be enjoyed at many restaurants here, though I've mentioned in separate reviews, these will be pricier than your average Italian city/town. You certainly pay for the views and there's a never-ending slew of spots to catch a breathtaking panorama. And speaking of a panoramic views, if you're into hiking, Il Sentiero degli Dei (the Path of the Gods) is a moderate trail that winds around the higher vantage points connecting Agerola to Positano, with...you guessed it...stellar viewpoints along the way. Communication was very prompt from both Alessandro and Emily considering that they are touring all the time with tourist. You can contact them directly or via social media. They were very reasonable when it came to private boat tours and flexible with locations. One the day of pick up, everything was coordinated very well. The boat arrived on time and we got picked up at Amalfi and we took the tour all the way to Capri. Our kipper Enriqo was excellent and provided us with fruits and champagne on board and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time. They were very nice and easy to chat with and we had our own privacy as well. The boat made multiple stops and customized it based on where we wanted to go depending on the time of the day. My one challenge was that I was trying to get a confirmation email from them about booking my trip but I didn't receive that for weeks despite providing multiple reminders. Having said that, I do understand that they keep busy but I also value commitments. Overall a great experience! And I highly recommend Sea living (check out more of their reviews in trip advisor and Airbnb). One of the best in the Amalfi Coast!!

They will take your deposit, cancel on you, and then ignore you. Their excuse afterwards is that the refund is not in their control so they will ignore you and refuse to provide proof that they processed your refund. They pulled this stunt on us and canceled the morning of our tour with all other operators still running. Pure scam and dishonest people. This makes it clear why they do not have a booth right on Positano beach. FIND A DIFFERENT BUSINESS.
