Visited Ashley with Amare Healing Arts about a week after extended belt lipectomy, breast lift/augmentation, torsoplasty, and BBL. I left feeling taken advantage of and confused and rode home in tears. First, although I arrived early, I spent about 20 minutes filling out paperwork, which was not available until my scheduled appointment time and which Ashley did not look at. After I completed my paperwork and returned it to her, she spent the first few minutes with me asking many questions I had already answered in my paperwork, eating significantly into the $170 one-hour appointment. Ashley looked at my bandages and incisions. She used alarmist language, claiming that my swelling wasn't normal at all and that it was something to worry about, that the medications prescribed were making me more swollen, and that the redness of my incisions were "a hot mess." Without knowing anything about my plastic surgeon or previous lymphatic drainage therapist (both of whom I'd had positive experiences with), Ashley disparaged their work, saying they're not board certified (which she wouldn't know since she hadn't looked at my paperwork and is untrue anyway), that they had me in the wrong compression garment, that I was using the wrong sprays, etc. Although Ashley knew that I had returned by flight only the day before from my surgery stay and I had communicated that I was not comfortable standing for long periods of time, she massaged me while having me stand with my hands on the table for about 10-15 minutes (that was all the time allotted for after all of that paperwork and post-paperwork discussion). LDM is supposed to be gentle, but her pressure was feather touch, barely discernible. I'm certain I did not benefit from it. By the end, I was seeing spots from standing for so long. I was of the impression that this was just a lymphatic drainage massage appointment -- I ended up being blindsided by the duplicitous style of upselling. After I was feeling faint from standing for the duration of my "massage" and WITHOUT ASKING, Ashley tore open a compression garment and started quickly pulling it up my legs. Being so out of it, I didn't have the wherewithal to object. Some part of me thought she would need to ask if I wanted something before assuming I'd pay for it. But that never happened. Next, she ripped open a package of lipo foam and started cutting it and packing it into my garment. Feeling very weak and like I was being preyed on, I told her to please allow my companion in from the waiting room. As he was on his way in, Ashley was already throwing products in a bag ("special" compression garment detergent, ointment -- which turns out just to be mostly petroleum jelly, body wash, etc.) and tallying them up, again all WITHOUT ASKING. I was so uncomfortable and confused that we just paid and left. On our way out, we tried to grab the package for the compression garment Ashley had pulled onto me (which she claimed to have designed herself) but she ripped it out of our hands, quickly claiming it was garbage and she would take care of it. When I insisted that we wanted to keep it, she refused to let us have it, which led us to believe that it contained some information she didn't want us to have. read more

This was a complete waste of money!!! She talks for most of the consultation trying to sell you products and massages you for 10 minutes. Ashley is rude, a narcissist and puts you down! I spoke to my surgeon after the appointment and he warned me about her- said her technique is wrong and she's just in the business of selling her own fajas and creams. I disputed the charges on my credit card since she refused to refund me for the ridiculous package she convinces you to buy. When I told her I would dispute the charges she said go ahead it wouldn't be the first time. Ashely- you need a lesson on how to be a business woman and how to be professional. I work in healthcare and care for my patients like they are family. You're money hungry and your techniques don't ultimately help your clients. The only thing you excel at is insulting your clients and their surgeons! Also my credit card company found my dispute in my favor as they said she can't charge for services that aren't rendered!!! Don't waste your money!!! I had surgery in Dominican republic. I had 10 massages in the country. I needed to get a few more massage sessions here in the US. So I went to Amare healing arts. They charge you An out rages $170 for the first consultation. The appointment was for 1 PM. I arrive there at 12:50 PM. The doors were locked, I knocked on both doors and no acknowledgment. I sat outside for 13 minutes. which was three minutes after my 1 o'clock appointment. Finally Ashley opens the door, Let me in and gives me a whole bunch of paperwork to fill out. Took me about 10 minutes to fill out that paperwork. To be more efficient with this visit that should've been done online at the time of the visit scheduling. That's my opinion. I still didn't finish my paperwork and she asked me to come in to the massage room. She asked me briefly what I had done in Dominican republic. It was as if she was rushing when I was providing her responses. The minute I was taking my clothes off, she made a comment of the garment I had on. She just said negative things about it and immediately she wanted to sell her garment. I invested a lot of money on my garments. I came there for a massage not to go shopping for garments there are stores specialize for that. when you do liposuction you do need compression so that the skin can be tight which is something she totally disagree . she asked me to lay down on the table and when I looked at my watch and it was 1:16 pm. She begin to do what she calls a massage on my lower back which was very tight it was very lumpy from the fluids that I still had from the surgery which was only seven days prior to this appointment. According to my research and the massage is done at the ER for lymphatic massage you have to do compression strokes To relieve the pressure you're feeling from the fluids caused from the surgery. Her massages are like feather touch which was not what I needed I had a lot of pressure & fluid buildup in that area and I needed stronger strokes to relieve the pressure. I'm not a specialist but I know for sure what my body needed in order to feel good. She didn't seem like she wanted to touch the areas where I had stitches of the incisions done from the surgery. I felt as if she was skeeved of the incisions. That's not the look I would have expected from someone in this type of field, especially in the holistic field. She spent about I would say no more than five minutes on my lower back, then she goes to the arms because I had liposuction done on the arms again it was like feather touch. Finally between the talking and the so called massages she was done at 1:44 PM. She then said she was done I can get dress. She even wanted to sell me foam to put inside my garmet. Seems to me that she is trying to make sales, on top of $170 she did for nothing. 1:46 PM I was out the door. I will never ever go to her again or even recommend her. I don't think she has what it takes to take care of patients that have had liposuction procedure. I am a very clean person and having someone in that type of profession look at me the way she did was very uncomfortable for me. As I said, ..... what a waste of $170 and time. I wish I would've done more research on her before I even scheduled an appointment. The only thing I thought was good about her was on how fast they jumped to give me an appointment especially in less then two hours prior to the appointment. That should've hinted at me that she is not busy enough. And if she's not busy enough that means she's not good enough. Prior to her I call other places and they were booked for a lymphatic massages all the way till April. Now that speaks a lot for Spa. It's just that I was in so much pain I was so desperate I needed someone to relieve all the pressure from my lower back ASAP. I left out of there with the same pain I came in. I had to wait several hours until my boyfriend came home to do some type of massage to relieve all that pressure in my lower back. So please before you go to this place invest the time and the money for the right place. Don't waste your money, it's not worth it especially the pain I was in and if you're in a lot of pain don't go there because you will still have the pain. read more

Ashley is great and the facility is clean and calming. The reason I am giving 3 stars and not 5 is because I feel I wasted so much money here. What I should have done was use that money for a revision surgery. It's not their fault I came in with poor surgery results and that I needed a revision / corrective surgery, but I wish I had learned sooner that a revision is what I really needed. Instead I was sold on promises that my results would get better and Ashley continually reassured me that all my fibrosis would disappear and I'd have a major improvement in the appearance of my results. I continued to come in for over 6 weeks, followed all her tips & tricks, and paid over $2,000 in massages and in the end, I still looked botched. Ashley recommended I speak to surgeons for a revision or try something more invasive than massages such as MORPHEUS8. I wish she told me that from the beginning before I wasted so much time and money. Ashley is great at what she does and is an awesome person but I do regret spending all that money that should have just gone towards a corrective surgery. But if you are fresh out of surgery with predictable results, go see her as she does give great massages! read more

So I went into Amare 2.5 weeks after getting a TT/Lipo 360/BBL from Dr Alkon. I came in looking like a bloated square, and Ashley promised me that just in 8 sessions I would look completely different. I must admit, I was very skeptical of how these massages would work, but let me tell you, they WORK. I'm already only 4 sessions in and my body looks completely different. I'm starting to see my abs, waist, and back are going in, and my BBL looks a lot more noticeable. Ashley really knows her stuff and will recommend a bunch of tips, tricks, and products (yes buy the products) to have an easier recovery with even greater results. And Michelle is also wonderful at what she does, I leave the session knowing I'll be waking up smaller and more snatched in the morning read more

I rarely write reviews and I especially try to support small businesses, but I feel compelled to review this establishment. I saw Ashley 1 week postop for lymphatic massage. My first gripe was having to fill out extensive paperwork during the $170/hr session. I would have gladly come in earlier or filled them out online. Secondly, from the moment I started speaking with her she had an arrogant, dismissive tone and inflection. Anything I said, wore, used etc was WRONG. Her way or the highway, despite this being a chronic health condition I've dealt with for years and understand very well. She spent a lot of time criticizing my compression garment and talking about how she has a line of garments she designs, yet also does not design the specific garment type I wear (so what was the point in that rant?). I got the sense that she just liked hearing herself talk. Her "massage" was so light I barely felt her fingers on my skin (I know MLD is gentle but this was basically hands off). At the end she pushed a bag of products into my hands and before I knew it, I was out the door with $100 of products I don't need. I left in tears feeling dismissed, judged and taken advantage of when I was already in such a vulnerable place post-op. Ashley knows her stuff! I want to start off by saying, when I first I contacted Amare Healing Arts, the office was closed. I stressed in my email how badly I was in pain and within 10 min I got a response from Ashley directly. She was kind enough to open the office for me on a day it was closed. I've gotten lymphatic drainage massages at other places but none of the therapists have ever been as involved as she is. She took care of measuring me for my garment, called up the pink room where they sell them, and ensured they knew exactly what I needed. This wasnt my 1st time under the knife and no one had ever mentioned foams or the importance of the garments previously. My post OP results with Ashley as my therapist has been amazing. She knows where my pain points are, and when I leave there I feel so much better. She shows and genuinely cares about your recovery and helping you achieve the best final results.
