The person…read morein charge of letting us inside was a nice lady over all and let us get in a little bit early in order to set up for our event... but this is where the nice ends. When I called to speak with the lady, I let her know we were throwing a surprise birthday party consisting primarily of adults. I let her know that there would be music and small amounts of alcohol in order to toast. She did not disclose that there was a strict no alcohol policy, nor was it written in the contract. The day of the party we were told us that all alcohol had to be consumed outside, that was fine we kept all alcohol outside and ensured no one was coming inside with alcohol. She was downstairs every 15 seconds to ensure that no one was drinking and then complained about people drinking outside, despite being told that it was okay for people to drink outside. She complained about the music being too loud for her to think upstairs, and kept asking for us to turn it down, which we did. Finally, we had signed a contract to rent the downstairs area until 11pm. At 10pm she came downstairs and told everyone to get out because she was tired and had to go to church in the morning. She did not give us a refund for the hour that she kicked us out. If you rent here please be aware that you will have a lady standing in the corner supervising the entire event, likely complaining that it's too loud, and will kick everyone out when she gets tired, not when the contract states the event is to end. I would give zero stars if I could.

There were so many different items for sale. I got some fun gifts for my girlfriends back in San Diego. Russ and Debbie, the owners, were so accommodating, enjoyable, helpful and easy going; people you could just spend all day talking to. There are some RV spaces to camp here so we stayed on site to make set up a little easier on the day of the memorial. We had family that rented a quaint one bedroom cabin on site as well. There is an outdoor covered kitchen area with a huge refrigerator, which allowed us to bring food in advance and prep the day before. It was all so convenient! They were in the path of the Dixie fire, so the drive out there is baron, but don't let that deter you. Once you arrive, you are surrounded by green trees and stunning scenery. It was a perfect hidden gem. We are so pleased with our entire experience at lassen meadows and would absolutely recommend it and use this venue again for other events.
