I took a chance and called Liz one week before I needed the cake and it just so happened to be the weekend of Mother's Day that I needed the cake, Liz was so gracious and patient and she accepted my cake request and the price was amazing it was almost too good to be true and I had a bit of a doubt if I made a good decision on such short notice and with an amazing price like that there has to be a downside... I am so happy that I was so wrong, Liz did an absolutely amazing job!!! I was floored when I picked up the cake! I changed the size of the cake twice making it bigger, and each time she graciously accepted my changes... she was very responsive to texts and inquiries... it was such a pleasure working with Liz.. We rented out a grand ballroom for the party and the cake was equally grand to match... the texture of the cake was perfect! The taste was amazing! This was truly professional work from top to bottom!!! Liz please don't change because my family likes to party and I'm getting all my cakes from you! I'll post better pics once our photographer sends them! Thank you to Liz and her team! You gals are awesome!

I placed two orders of fresh bouquets of cupcakes for a friend and also for my sister. Both boxes of treats were delivered today. Liz was an absolute pleasure to deal with. When I sent Liz the photo of what I wanted, she assured me she could create a cake of matching quality. However, please see photos of the finished product vs what I asked for. The lettering was in all caps, I presume based on some stencil, and sloppily painted. There was a gap in between the tiers. The border was nothing like the picture. When I expressed my disappointment, I was told my expectations of this cake matching the picture I asked for were unrealistic. What is unrealistic is charging $200 for a cake that looks like I made it myself. When I asked her to remove the lettering and fix the gap, she refused and refunded me, leaving me without a cake at 9pm the night before my son's christening. read more

I ordered my 20th Birthday Cake from Amazing cakes by Liz, I paid about 2 weeks ahead including delivery fees and tipping. When I got the cake she gave me salted buttercream instead of Cannoli flavor, the cake was inedible for me because I cant each too much buttercream it makes me sick. She told me a refund wasnt an option but I could get 20% off my next order, but I dont feel safe paying her upfront again for her to just bring me the wrong food again. read more

History

Established in 2009.

After graduating culinary school in 2001 with a degree in pastry arts, I worked for several restaurants and wedding venues doing desserts and cakes. When looking for a cake for my own wedding in 2005 I was appalled at the mark up for wedding cakes! I knew what went into making them and the price tags seemed outrageously unfair to me. I’m 2009 I gave birth to my twin boys and left the industry to be a stay at home mom. Amazing Cakes By Liz was established as my home based business so I could stay home with my family and still contribute financially to my household. The premise of my business has always been to be able to give people looking for custom cakes the best deal available when it came to custom cakes.

My name is Liz and I’m a foodie that comes from a family of foodies. Cakes and pastry and well as culinary cooking have always been my passion. I’ve never wanted to do anything career wise other and cook and bake. While I don’t consider myself an “artist” I know that I have a talent when it comes to cake decorating and I’m always so happy knowing that my cakes are part of happy life celebrations.
