My god-daughter enjoyed the pony ride. We definitely enjoyed the entire day here. My god-son fed and petted a few animals.

Only about 45 minutes north of Baltimore and a beautiful drive through the country once you leave highway 83. Most of the horses seemed to have been retired quarter milers and other race horses, but seemed like a perfect fit for riding. There are two dogs that will greet you in the parking lot as soon as you pull in, they are Stella (brown) and Tiberius (black), Tiberius will stand in front of you car and won't move untikl you start inching forward. Stella will jump up on you if you let her. We had a group of 6 riders and the weather was perfect, not too hot and not too cold. The ride goes through the back of the property through a couple of streams, up and down hills and some narrow paths where you will need to lean under and push past some trees and bushes. Just remember the horses each have their own personality and temperments. All in all, it was a good experience and will be back to do a gallop and trot ride.

It was hot and humid but the ride was mostly in shade. The horses were very well behaved, and my daughter absolutely loved it. Her horse was well behaved and gave no issues. My wife's horse kept eating (much like me), but still was gentle and easy going. This place is great for beginners as the horses are well behaved. You take a 15 minute tutorial in how to ride then off you go.

Our Girl Scouts' horseback riding activity with Gina and her team at Misty Manor was a 10/10…read moreexperience. The girls and us troopleaders were outfitted with helmets, the led into the barn to learn about the neccessary grooming and steps there are to take prior to a successful ride. We lined up and met our horses, learning simple commands, and how to properly mount then ride our horses. We were then guided by Gina and joined by two of her staff on a 50-min trail ride - all the horses and girls in a single file line through the forest, up and down hills and through muddy patches. The whole experience was about 90-min with the grooming and safely measures taking up the rest of the time. I thoroughly enjoyed as did my Girl Scouts. This was an amazing experience for them and so happy they earned their Horseback Riding badge with a fun adventure.
