They took advantage of the lash fad and now have minimal clients so they're skimping by finding gray areas like not wearing gloves and not telling/asking the client, even though the law clearly states any bodily fluids requires gloves! Not a single pamphlet, or talk about caring for your lashes, things to watch for like redness or itching, etc., but they have you sign the release the second you get there, because they know they're wrong, but need your money! I'm 7 days in and have only a few lashes left, they're glued every way except the right way because she used as minimal everything she could. I asked 3x for my eyes to be washed to no avail, she was soo rude to me that I wanted off the bed asap which luckily for me happened cuz she didn't provide me with the services I paid for. The second she was done, I walked out and made it clear I wasn't happy, but instead of reimbursing me, I got $20 off and told they can fix it to which I'll be honest, I was going to give them another chance but then I got confirmation that she wasn't wearing gloves and that along with no sanitation stations, gloves, masks, autoclave (disinfecting machine) bags over instruments, paper on the beds, I declined the offer but they still refuse to reimburse me because they say "services provided" but i didn't receive the services I requested and paid for but here we are 7 days in and they're still gaslighting me and making excuses! Unfortunately franchises like this, train more in excuses than doing things right in the first place. When I freaked about her not wearing gloves, the response I got was "they wash their hands before they come get you" but to get to me she has to touch doors, walls, her face, anything and everything but I'm wrong by being upset. I chose a franchise because I thought they'd be better about sanitation, but I now know to stay far away and educate others so they can't get scammed or harmed by these pathetic companies. What I've learned from these types of companies is they use contracts to control people so employees sign stating that if they leave/quit and a client follows, the tech gets sued but why would a franchise be scared of single techs??! I honestly thought getting their membership was a great idea since I like to get my lashes done regularly; I went two different times, with their master lash specialist, after 2-3 days, the lash extensions were coming out in clumps. The cancellation policy is also ridiculous. They won't process it for a whole month and continue to withdraw money from your account. If you call to complain they try to convince you to keep coming back with a different lash tech. I would never recommend purchasing a membership such as this ever again. The person doing my service was amazing. I have had lashes for 5 years. I know exactly what I want. And what I got was beautiful. I wanted basic classic lashes. When I was shown what to pick I simply picked classic no add-ons. Not any 3D anything not anything extra glamorous nothing. Which is exactly what I got a very nice pair of lashes and they look just like the lashes I've had before for my other service provider who has now moved away. Which is the only reason why I'm not going to that person. Why did $99 turn into $135 before tip? They said I got something special. But I did not or if I did it was not communicated to me that way. So when I said all of that at the desk when she was asking me for money. I said, that's not what I asked for I did not expect to pay $135 for a two-week fill. Who can afford that? Every two weeks I'm paying $270. That's a car payment. Then when you go to try to find customer service. Very hard. Each studio is individually operated. So they sent me back to the website. So when I called the store to ask for customer service email or the phone number of the person who owns the salon I was not given that information. I was told to wait for a phone call from the manager. So I will be waiting. But at this point it's a scam that charges way too much for a regular service that you can get on any corner for 85 to $90 in this town. Give me a break! I will never go back because I feel absolutely scammed. If I get any satisfaction from the manager I will be sure to update this review and the Stars. I went to Amazing Lash for over a year, but after a while the lashes didn't stick any longer. I put a freeze on my account and tried the lash lift with a "master technician". I ended up with singed eyelashes. I sent an email at the beginning of March requesting to cancel, I was called and sent an email asking why. I emailed again and was told that I need to complete a form that I have yet to receive and that they need 30 days to cancel. I don't want singed eyelashes anymore and don't want fake ones that fall off in clumps immediately following the appointment. Stay away from this predatory contract and company. There are many lash technicians out there if you want lashes that you can just stop going to if you've decided you don't want their service anymore. Update on my review I went for my schedule refill on Monday. I talked to my lash lady and informed her my last set only lasted 14 days. I expressed concern. She took me back to my room. Examine me and informed me that I had build up. Now on my last visit , my other lash lady mentioned the same thing. Ends up that I was using my eyelash primer the wrong way. I was not informed of the correct way. So I ended up having to take my eyelash set off. For this visit. I ended up paying 125.00 30 take off 35 for 3 piece eyelash fill. 60 dollar usual membership fee. I felt that due to misinformation provided about one of their own products. Atmosphere 5/5: This is the 2nd location I Have been too. Very elegant and welcoming staff. The waiting area has a few couches with pillows. There are quiet a lot of rooms of service that are also very clean! Experience 5/5: My tech and the receptionist were very helpful in explaining the process to me along with the payments. My tech Bernadette was very personable and happily recommended I receive the 3D fill in. This is the 2nd time Amazing Lash has let me down and disappointing me! Went in today, gave the lady clear pictures/ instructions to what exactly I wanted.. (mega volume lash) 1st problem...: The young lady must've had a cold or something. She kept on sniffing, coughing and messing with her mask. DON'T BE A DUMB DUMB LIKE ME AND LET THESE PEOPLE HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR CREDIT CARD!!!! My services there were inconsistent but fine. I generally liked my lash's. When Covid came I decided to cancel my membership for health and financial reasons but couldn't get a hold of anyone at the store via phone ( I left voicemails) so I emailed them asking them to immediately cancel my membership and to stop charging my credit card and I never heard back from anyone regarding my voicemail or email. Life got crazy and obviously my lash's were the last thing on my mind, and yesterday I realized they have continued to charge me the monthly membership fee, despite me asking them to cancel my membership back in APRIL and despite the fact that I have not stepped foot in their store since March. When I called yesterday the girl who answered the phone said, "that's weird it shows you are cancelled I don't know why you would still be getting charged. I'll have my manager call you tomorrow." The manager called me today and said they "never saw my email." She's not sure why, "Maybe they had an issue with their gmail" or maybe "there was a glitch in their system." So anyways, I forwarded the email to her to show proof that I sent it, and she said it basically didn't matter because I would have needed to fill out a cancellation form for the cancellation to be legit. The people who run this company are CROOKS. They have taken $419 from me since I asked them to cancel my membership and say there is nothing I or they can do it about. I guess they will be successful because they steal money from people but they won't keep customers around for long this way. UPDATE: Today, 5-28-19, I came in to cancel my membership. A couple months ago my master stylist went on vacation so she recommended me another master stylist. On the day of my appointment, I was notified by them that the master stylist was no longer with the company. They didn't have another master stylist that could see me around the same time, so I booked my appointment with a regular stylist. When I showed up to the appointment, I asked them when my regular master stylist would be returning. They told me that they weren't sure and that she maybe not be returning at all. I chose not to and just circle the reason why I was cancelling the membership. She gave it back to me and said "you have to answer the questions" I looked at her and said I'm choosing not to. When cancelling if you have any fills left, they say you can transfer them to another customer. Totally wrong - they made this such a hassle. Today, I had the worst eyelash extensions! I went in with my beautiful extensions, that I'd been getting, in Denver, for the last 6 months. I walked out trying to stop myself from crying. After returning from Denver, Colorado, back to Phoenix, Arizona, I'd spent the last week looking for someone to do a three week fill on my beautiful and addictive lash extensions. Clearly, I made an ill advised choice, in selecting this lash bar. First, I was given a lash wash to use. It was very abrasive and burned my eyes; it took off many of my existing extensions, even though I'd just showered and shampooed my lashes, prior to my appointment. The evidence was the many lashes in the sink. The girl in the front had been very helpful and inquisitive/interested in the look I wanted. Now, for my lash technician, he was not at all interested in the look I wanted to achieve! He was focused on and irritated by me expressing that I wanted him to use the hypoallergenic lash glue. Very irritated. I believe he used this as his excuse to do a subpar application for my lashes. When he was finished, (in less than one hour), and I looked at my face, I didn't say a word. I was mortified that, not only were my beautiful lash extensions, that I had grown so fond of, gone, but my lashes looked terrible and much worse than my own natural lashes had, prior to having any extensions at all! When the technician saw the look on my face, he said, "I could've gotten a lot more lashes on with the regular glue". Now, my lash tech in Denver, (who is also a cosmetologist), always used hypoallergenic glue on my extensions, because of my existing allergy to latex and tape. She never had a problem, that she reported to me, about not being able to get enough lashes on. Perhaps, that's because of her technique? She would go back and forth, between my two eyes, allowing time for glue curing -she told me this herself. The tech at this place whipped through one eye then went on to the other as quickly as possible. Now, I just happened to snap a selfie, right as I was going into my appointment. I'll attach the before and after, if able. Monday, I am calling the corporate office to report this situation. Do yourself a favor: do not use the services of AmazingLash. I have been a member for the last three months. The staff is nice. The first full natural fill I felted like it was a rip off. I had only some lashes in each eye. They told me when I was checking out I should try next time the 3D and gave me $25 credit. My eyes got very red and burn first times I washed them. The second time I paid for the 3D it was ten days later and I didn't have many lashes left. The adhesive is very strong and when u cry or shower any drop inside ur eye burns. My upper lid got swollen a little. Third time ten days later scheduled for 3 D refill but they said I needed a full set of 3D. Now is been 10 days my eyes get red, got discharge and mucus. After a week the adhesive doesn't burn when washed eyes. I bought the set foam, brush and conditioner. My eyes are watery and get mucus, no much lashes after 10 days, the service is expensive and I think am ruining my own lashes, that are already short. My fourth appointment is 18 days instead of every 10 days. I don't know how long I can last getting lashes with the irritation I may need to take a break as much as I love them my eyes are too sensitive and the adhesive too strong. Got charged for May, had not used my service yet because I travelled out of state for two weeks. Returned to the studio on May 28th, filled out a cancellation form so I would not get charged for June. 10 days later, I get charged for June. She refunded me and cancelled. I had an appointment scheduled so I could use my membership for May. Unfortunately, I got COVID, had to reschedule. COVID then gave me pink eye in both eyes which took two weeks to heal, had to re schedule again, can't get lashes with PINK EYE. I came in today to use my PAID MEMBERSHIP SERVICES OF MAY THAT I DIDNT USE. I go to check out and the girl, Jennifer, who says she is a manager (not the one I spoke to a week prior) tell me I initially owe $10. I give her my card, she says, never mind, it's $20, you aren't a member. I said, well I was a member for the month of May, paid the May's service, and did not use it. I didn't use it that month because I ended up getting sick with Covid, pink eye, ear infection, and some more if we want to be relaly honest. She said "It doesn't matter, you're using it in June, so it's non member pricing" Even though I was a member and paid for the services already! I asked for corporate information, she refused to provide it to me. Asked for supervisor, that's when she said she's supposedly the supervisor. I told her, it really sucks your customer service is so awful and you just rip people off because there are good lash techs that work there! She laughed at me. The whole it me she was extremely rude.
