I was pretty vague on my goals, and he helped me refine my vision by designing a program and incorporating elements that I wouldn't have thought of myself, like cross-body and balance moves. The thing is, he incorporates these many elements seamlessly so that you are getting more than just strength building without sacrificing any time or effort toward achieving your strength or weight-loss goals. Instead of listening, she was short, cold, and visibly irritated that I was trying to provide context for the injury. When my daughter told her that the exam was hurting and the pressure on her knee was too much, Shannon actually pressed harder. I was shocked. To make matters worse, the exam room at their south location had at least 20 dead flies on the floor and windowsill, extremely unhygienic and unacceptable in a medical facility. We left feeling mistreated and very upset. I called immediately to request a different provider and to speak with a manager about how unprofessional the appointment was. Instead of addressing anything we reported, they mailed us a letter saying they were "parting ways" with us. That tells you everything you need to know about how they handle complaints. While that is perfectly fine, we had already decided to seek care elsewhere, the lack of professionalism in how it was handled truly says it all. Be aware of the treatment you may receive here. Our experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.

The person who answered seemed impatient, annoyed, and almost as though I was bothering her. She was very short in her responses, not welcoming, and came across as lacking compassion or a willingness to help. Rather than feeling reassured, I felt uncomfortable and hesitant to ask questions. This was very different from the level of kindness, patience, and professionalism I have experienced at other healthcare facilities. A little empathy and a friendly attitude can make a significant difference, especially for patients who may already be feeling anxious about their appointments. This is not a review of the quality of treatment received. I have no complaint with the individual…read morephysical therapist that provided treatment. She was professional and competent. The therapy provided to treat the neuropathy in my right hand (which causes it too feel like it is immersed in a bucket of boiling water) was effective. My complaint is with the business practices they follow. Six months after the initial treatment the symptoms started to reoccur (in a much milder form). My insurance had changed and Dynamic Physical Therapy (DPT) was no longer in network. My insurance would pay a non-network provider based on Medicare approved rates. DPT simply had to bill them. They refused to do so and told me that I would need to self-pay and then deal with being reimbursed by my insurance company without their assistance. I chose not to seek treatment with them. DPT is again in-network with my current insurance. The symptoms have started to reoccur. Wanting to start therapy as soon as possible to avoid them becoming worse (having my hand feel like it is in a bucket of boiling water is an experience I do not wish to repeat), I made an appoinment and printed out the referral I received from my healthcare provider's web site because my Primary Care Provider had neglected to send an electronic copy to DPT. I offered to self-pay, if the referral was not received in time. Yesterday, I received a call from DPT telling me they had cancelled my appoinment because they would only except a referral received directly from a healthcare provider. In addition, they would not accept self-pay because they were in-network with my insurance company.

So I went to the other desk, which was in a completely separate office space. I checked in then sat and waited 30mins past my appointment time, then finally got called back to a room where they asked for a urine sample (which was for a drug test which wasn't told to me up front). After I gave a sample they sat me down with a technician in a room with other patients and proceeded to ask me my medical information in front of everyone! HIPPA violation much? Then I was placed in an exam room, where a doctor other than Bissell came in and talked about a plan for PM. I initially booked future appointments but ended up cancelling bc as I went through my day, my gut said request a new care manager. Good thing, because I received a bill that was clearly not billed through the VA/TRIWEST. What a disaster of a place!!! Go elsewhere.

They have all the latest rehab equipment and have pain killers and ice ready for you when you are all done. Matt and Gary have been awesome! Both work with me every step of the way but also have the sense to know when I just want to get to work. I will say everyone has been friendly here and I would recommend it highly to all my friends or even acquaintances for great health care. They did not care that I had ZERO symptom relief. They wanted me to shell out another $370 on top of the $1000+ I had already given them. I expected it in the next round three and a half months later, but not immediately afterward. I simply asked for what I paid for, and to not feel scammed. This is not good healthcare, this is healthcare that preys on people who are desperate and at their wit's end. Melissa who works there is very nice, but Barb will charge you the minute you walk in the door. I've never been to a more money-hungry doctor's office before. Now, I'm out $1K for absolutely nothing but a broken promise and a headache.
