I needed a cut and a change from the way I was doing my hair. Well let me tell you that when I met "The Carrie" hairstylist, I was impressed. She is so vivacious, bubbly, friendly, caring, knowledgeable and listened to my woe of having thin hair and it was thinning on the top and I was struggling to hide it. Well she checked my hair and said I am not losing it, I do have fine hair but let's work with it. She washed and cut my hair in layers to give it volume and recommended I get a soft perm, which I did just recently in Nov. She said I have some curl in my hair so the perm should take well. Well I am so happy with Carrie and how she gave me the perm of my life. I have not had a perm since I got married and this one makes me look much younger and I feel younger with this new hairstyle. It's like a wash and go look and I don't have to wash so frequently just to get the "poof and volume" I need on the top of my head. I wasn't asked about what exactly I wanted, and they hardly communicated with me. It seemed that all of the employees were second language English speakers, which would have fine had they made that clear and actually tried to communicate with me. But they didn't. They just looked at me confused when I asked them questions. They didn't let me wash my hands between steps and I can feel the pressure on the tips of my nails when any force is applied to them. the product would stick to my skin which caused me minor pain. I also have nails that are prone to growing in impacted, meaning my sidewalls are more overgrown than most, and they didn't even touch them during nail care. this appointment ruined my birthday.
