The staff women seemed to be swooning over one customer who said she held a position of status in the medical field. This place, at least on this day, seemed to have that snooty "size you up" upon entry feeling to it. I was informed that the store was purchased by new owners in January, 2019. There's the problem. I don't understand why new owners of ANY established store in Santa Fe get rid of the type of merchandise that defines Santa Fe, and, instead, bring in boring, overpriced fashions that mirror what older women wear in Scottsdale or West Palm Beach. You can chalk this up to "another one bites the dust."

On that note, I also wondered how the gallery owners managed to stay in business with rents that probably lined up with their art. Natalie has been around for awhile, as I remember stopping in back in 2016. This place has a clear Western theme with lots of silver, turquoise, leather, clothing and other stuff throughout. It's almost like walking through a well curated antique store and probably full of consignment items. It would realistically require multiple visits to fully appreciated the inventory here. It's been a lot of fun walking through the multiple former home rooms and imagining the possibilities. I found pricing to be a little higher than I expected, but at least I could afford some of this merchandise if I so chose. I bought a stunning linen dress last summer. It was very expensive and the owner boasted about the…read morehigh quality linen from Italy. I wore the dress once and the elastic waist broke so the next time I was up I asked the owner about a repair. She told me to bring the dress back and she would have it repaired for me. I was back in Santa Fe last weekend and spoke to another store employee who told me I could exchange it dress, but she was very disinterested in helping me find the same dress. When I found one similar she said it has to be the exact same dress, which they no longer carry. She then said (after I told her what the owner promise) that there was no way to repair the dress but she might be able to send it to a seamstress for $30?? But couldn't guarantee she would not misplace my dress. I could not believe how rude and unhelpful she was! I have a $150 worthless piece of linen I need to pay to have repaired myself. It's not usable or wearable because of the style and the fact that elastic around the waist is part of the dress. I will not shop there again and I will be calling the owner.
