Before coming here, I never trusted barbers due to multiple bad haircuts but wow, Lizbeth changed my whole life and perspective on that by always being extremely attentive and diligent to my hair. Since I visit every couple months, I find it sweet that Lizbeth always remembers small details about me (like my cat, my attempts to cook, etc.) and it's nice to have such lively conversations that makes the appointment feel like a breeze. The salon is quite cozy, every time I've visited everyone seems comfortable and content as the barbers and owner are really friendly and kind! The first time, I called to see if they could push back my appointment, but the lady couldn't because she had an appointment right after mine, which is completely understandable. I was seen right when I walked in with no wait. However, my curls did not hold up for a few hours, so I was pretty disappointed since I paid $85 specifically for that. The second time I came in, it was a waiting game. I understand they were really busy since it was commencement weekend, but it seemed very unprofessional to not let me know how late they were running, especially since it was almost an hour. No one apologized or let me know I would be waiting more than just a few minutes. I rushed in because I did not want to be late and had I known I would be waiting 50 minutes, I probably would have stopped to eat or buy a drink before coming here. Anyways, I liked the makeup they did. It was exactly what I asked for. But the haircut was not. For reference, my hair was very long before, past my butt, and now it is barely below my shoulders. I kept reiterating that I did not want it short, and that is exactly what I got. I also wanted my hair in layers, and it is barely in two layers, not what I wanted unfortunately. Now I have to wait another two plus years to grow it out again. (Paid $252 this second time) I think the person in charge could definitely be more professional. He is also the one who washed my hair the second time I went in, and I honestly do not think he knew what he was doing. Not only did a lot of water get in my ears, but my back got really wet, and he forgot to remove my towel. I probably would not come back here.

I popped in to inquire about my tape in hair extensions and when I walked in there was a lady (assuming the owner) with a client. Nobody else in the salon. Which looks very nice, clean and the kind of place I'd like to go to. I asked if she works with tape ins, to which she wasn't clear on answering, asked if I had them in and eventually said she can do them but that she was fully booked. I asked if I could book an apt online or call for another day to which she simply replied NO. She just said no I'm fully booked. Not 'no I'm not accepting new clients' or 'no the next month is booked out'. Just no. Why ask me about my hair in the first place? I felt sooooo uncomfortable and I'm sure her client did too. I'm not sure if it was the fact that I'm English or she just didn't like the look of me but I was very polite the whole conversation and just replied 'oh okay' and left.
