I went in last week on Tuesday to take my natural hair color (dirty blonde) and go back to bright blonde like it used to be. I got my hair done by Sandra and I spent a few hours in the chair but then at the end my hair wasn't like the pictures I showed. My appearance didn't look different from how it was before the appointment much at all. So I went back the next day and showed Elizabeth the pictures and she agreed it wasn't the same as what I ended up with. So then her and Sandra made a plan on how to fix it right then. They were kind about it and said it would be fixed free of charge. Then within the same week Sandra was able to get me in again and correct the mistake and my hair looks just how I wanted it to. And they even gave me a bottle of the heat protectant that I was asking about. I really appreciate how professional they were in fixing a mistake and they were kind about it as well. read more

They have two small dogs running around, so that is something to keep in mind if you are afraid of or uncomfortable around dogs. I recently came here two different times for graduations. The first time, I called to see if they could push back my appointment, but the lady couldn't because she had an appointment right after mine, which is completely understandable. I was seen right when I walked in with no wait. However, my curls did not hold up for a few hours, so I was pretty disappointed since I paid $85 specifically for that. The second time I came in, it was a waiting game. I understand they were really busy since it was commencement weekend, but it seemed very unprofessional to not let me know how late they were running, especially since it was almost an hour. No one apologized or let me know I would be waiting more than just a few minutes. I rushed in because I did not want to be late and had I known I would be waiting 50 minutes, I probably would have stopped to eat or buy a drink before coming here. Anyways, I liked the makeup they did. It was exactly what I asked for. But the haircut was not. For reference, my hair was very long before, past my butt, and now it is barely below my shoulders. I kept reiterating that I did not want it short, and that is exactly what I got. I also wanted my hair in layers, and it is barely in two layers, not what I wanted unfortunately. Now I have to wait another two plus years to grow it out again. (Paid $252 this second time) I think the person in charge could definitely be more professional. He is also the one who washed my hair the second time I went in, and I honestly do not think he knew what he was doing. First of all parking is not easy, I already knew that as I'd been here once before so just keep that in mind. There's also some construction going on just fyi. (11/11/25) Would usually update photos to the finished product once I'm don't but sadly won't be doing that in the future. unfortunately I had a terrible experience on my second time here. I booked a 12 pm appointment for a balayage and cut. I used the Vagaro app something that I've used at many other places. I show up to my appointment and wait. I'm checked in on twice and was told I'd be seen soon. Well I wasn't. In reality I was waiting over 40 minutes and by the time I would have been seen it'd be almost an hour past my scheduled appointment. Really if the reverse situation happened and I was that late not only would they have already cancelled my appointment they would have charged me a fee. What's icing on the cake is another customer had a 12:30 appointment and came in much after me and was seen before me :/. I'm glad it worked out for him. But honestly the customer service was terrible for me. I felt so frustrated and sad on what was supposed to be a fun self care me time. I don't need an excuse and a reason for your mistake. Own up to it. If you do care about your customer then do something about it. Don't just smile and give some excuse that it's okay and it's not that late. I would have preferred to be called or texted. If you're running late let your customer know. Don't lie and force them to sit and wait with not knowing when they'll be seen. Perhaps you should have asked me if a 1 pm appointment would have been okay. But instead they did not do that. They told me it would be soon when in reality it was much much later. They had no regard for my feelings or time. I also have found that in order to try to catch up on time to make for another appointment (whoever would have been after me) there's always a risk that they might rush you. And that is not something I want to ever risk for my hair and color. My time is valuable too and that was disregarded and disrespected. Unfortunately I won't be coming back. I came in for a Yuko Japanese Hair Straightening Treatment. I've never had a chemical treatment done before, however, Sandra worked well with my very thick, curly, and frizzy hair. I have a 2C/3B hair type. It's very thick because I have a lot of hair, and I was so shocked to see the results! My hair was so sleek and straight. It was soft to the touch, and I'm so happy that I went through with the treatment! I highly recommend looking into the treatment for those who are interested and have been considering it! Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my experience at Picasso Salon. First thing, I requested a quote for a long layered haircut over Yelp that ended up being $75. We also booked my appointment during the same conversation, and I had appreciated that the staff responded to my messages so quickly. I show up my appointment and I immediately get the sense that they forgot to put me down. I learned that they typically book appointments via website which is no problem at all but I wish they had expressed that beforehand so I wouldn't have to wait for 40 minutes :/. My hairstylist was friendly but my appointment was so clearly rushed. My whole appointment from hair washing to cutting to blow drying was shorter than my wait time. Although my hair honestly looks pretty good for being rushed, I wasn't 100% satisfied by the end of our session.. She did try to fix it at first but later, she simply brushed me off as "we can give you more layers next time." Next time???? Seriously?? This really put me off :(. Thankfully, my haircut ended up being $10 cheaper than the initial quote. I was grateful, although I'm not sure if it was bc they felt bad for it being rushed or if it was bc they didn't cut much of my hair. I'm sorry, I don't typically give poor reviews but I really didn't enjoy my experience here. My hair is still choppy in some areas and I wish the top of my hair was layered more, but I couldn't bring this up since they rushed me out. I got my haircut awhile ago and was debating if I should write a review, After getting my haircut somewhere else Ive decided to post my experience with this salon. I requested someone to cut my hair because I heard raving reviews online, (i forgot her name but she is the owner) upon my appointment I am assisted with someone else, overall confusing process for something that should be easy. Next was I was "persuaded" to use alternative shampoo (head and shoulders shampoo=cheap= as he (owners husband?) put it "wouldnt use that shampoo on his dog") , and I did end up changing but did not buy the products in this salon. Next was the actual cut, I asked for the top to have movement and have lightness and she replied "your hair is always light" which is true but not what I was asking for, What I wanted was to confirm layers and movement for the top of my hair which is what I meant by "lightness" I wasnt greeted with basic social courtesy things like How are you etc etc. instead she was focused on someone else (who wasnt even her customer and did not acknowledge her) After getting my haircut somewhere else exactly how I wanted, I wont be going back here. We both love our new hairstyles and I think the price is reasonable. There are different prices depending on the length of your hair. Boys and girls seem to get their hair cut in separate rooms, and there's a lot of space here. I am very surprised that the barbers here respect the personal wishes of both men and women to cut their hair! My guy friend says he's never had a barber cut his hair little by little and ask him how he feels every step of the way, which makes him happy. Before I cut my hair, my hairdresser asked me what style I wanted and compared the cut length with the effect in case I didn't understand. When I hesitated, she didn't make a decision for me in order to rush the time, but told me that she would cut a little for me first to see the effect, and if I was not satisfied with the length after blow drying, she could trim it again. I asked my hair to stay the same length, and when she cuts my hair, my hairdresser really carefully cut it little by little, and I felt that it was only a few centimeters at a time. Had reference photos for the stylist to refer to as well and still did not deliver what I wanted. To be fair, my stylist did show me how much she was thinking about cutting and I said it was fine but perhaps the length looked different sitting down than from when it was done (or she could've cut more off.) to make matters worse, I was charged $20 more than the original price listed online ($75). I made an appointment on their website via schedulicity and specifically chose her because of all the good reviews I saw she was receiving! She was very considerate and kind, always making sure I felt comfortable and double checking with me along the way to make sure I liked the progress so far. I asked for a haircut (layers and curtain bangs) and she did a great job! The price was reasonable also, a medium haircut was about $60-$65 (I don't remember the exact price). The main guy was nice enough, but the lady who cut my hair did a horrible job. I didn't get her name, but she was somewhat older and wearing glasses if that helps anyone identify her. I came in for a bang trim (something like Dakota Johnson or Daisy Edgar Jones), but I ended up looking like Will Byers from Stranger Things. I normally get my hair cut in SD, but I'm going on a trip and flying out of Davis, so I couldn't see my normal hair stylist. My hair looks horrible; I'll have to buy gel and hairspray and just pin it back so I don't look ridiculous for the next few weeks. All she had to do was follow the cut that was already there and trim less than an inch off. I could've achieved a better result at home by myself. When I was obviously unsatisfied with the result, pointing out how uneven it was, she tried justifying the mess by explaining that when she pulled my hair down, it looked straight. I'm not walking around with one hand held up to my forehead, pulling the hair down so it appears straight...it's also very blunt and she got rid of the softer, feathered layers I had to my bangs. This is reminiscent of the choppy, uneven bangs I gave myself when I was 7. The only positive thing is that they didn't charge me for the "trim." I wish I could go back in time and not go for this hair appointment. read more

My boyfriend and I went in for a hair it with Elizabeth and both of us walked out unsatisfied. I don't typically write reviews but I did not enjoy my experience at all. I wanted a simple haircut with layers and I feel like Elizabeth did a good job but it wasn't what I wanted. My hair was around my chest area and I asked for 2 inches off and I walked out with basically shoulder length hair... She cut off at least 4 inches of my hair. My bangs are uneven, there is one strand that is way shorter than the rest. I showed her photos of the exact haircut I wanted, all of which were photos of long hair. I felt like she was just chopping away at my hair and not paying attention (I will get to that in a bit). My boyfriend also got a haircut and he went to her previously and she did an amazing job. He showed her the exact same photos as before and got a completely different haircut. He had a small mullet going on in the back and she cut it all off. She wasn't paying attention and was just chopping away. During both of our haircuts she was on FaceTime with someone and we both felt as if she wasn't paying attention to what she was doing. She would realize that she chopped off a big section on one side and then had to go back to the other side to attempt to make it even. I literally went home and cried because all of my hair was chopped off and now both of us have to let our hair grow out. I don't plan on ever going back but I advise anyone going there to be very specific to what they want and to make sure to check in with your stylist during their appointment.
